Wentz needs to be removed from the frying pan.

Hes getting smacked around horribly out there.  If it's possible for him to develop worse habits than he already has, it's happening.

If you don't believe in him, he should be benched for 2 weeks to evaluate Hurts.  If you do believe in him, he needs a break from this pounding, this negativity, and the way he is being forced to play.  Take a step back, let everyone see someone else fail miserably in this offense, and come back with a fresh approach.

They're in an interesting spot with him. If someone like Lurie is still sold on Wentz and wants to see him under a new HC, it doesn't make sense keeping him in these games where he can suffer an injury that would impact his season next year. Doug is thinking short-term now, so it won't be him making that call. It would have to come from Lurie.

Part of me just wants them to try and make Reagor the best slot receiver as possible. He has the physical tools to be a good RAC Receiver but needs the confidence. I think he's way more Agholor than Desean.

It's early and he's suffering in a dysfunctional offense.  So no fateful decisions should be made right now.

But his routes are bad and his deep speed definitely does not look as advertised.  I was trying to push it out, but the dreaded term "slot receiver" kept fluttering into my head when I watched Reagor today.

Lol Doug agreed that switching between between Hurts and Wentz doesn't help but is still going to do

Just fire him

What coach is going to want to be forced to play Wentz and look like a bust himself right out the gate?

Plenty. There’s only 32 of these jobs so they are hard to get. There are plenty willing ... and capable of fixing him.

Well yeah I mean a not Matt Patricia status coach a retread type

Press Taylor should be fired before the end of the season.

How do we know how much influence he has in the gameplan/play-calling. Said the same thing the last two years.

The game plan/play calling has progressively got worse over the last 3 years. The only consistent variable is DP.

I've been saying this for the past few weeks.  They need to rest Wentz for his own sake.

I've never (in my 30+ years of watching football) ever seen a QB struggle this much and the coaching staff insists on keeping him out there.  Just about any QB would have been pulled after 4-6 games playing at his level.  Here we are 11 games in and he's not getting any better...if anything, he's getting worse.   Even the owner is telling the coaching staff to give Wentz a break.

I don't know if I feel sorry for Wentz or if I'm starting to get infuriated with the coaching staff for keeping him in there...or a combination of both.

I really wish they asked if they're having trouble integrating Reagor into the offense

This year's 1st round pick (top 10 pick), this year's 2nd round pick, next year's 1st round pick, Cox and Barnett for this year's 1st overall.  (Trevor Lawrence).

(I'm joking but I might consider it if Wentz continues to regress).

I think it's a mistake to think of this team as merely needing to fix the QB. Wentz is playing badly - make no mistake - but years of roster building mistakes and a lot of bad luck with injuries (to be fair) have landed us in a situation where there's A LOT that needs fixing. There's no silver bullet. I don't see how you fix all of this without needing to just blow it up and start again. I'm at that point. And I'm the eternal optimist.

Howie is first on my list of changes (and I've never been a Howie hater). The drafting has been bad for years now. This isn't a knee jerk reaction. The talent on the team has regressed year on year on year.

The coaches are frustrating me but I don't know who has what power and makes what decisions. What I'll say is if there's coaching changes, I won't be upset.

OL and WR are just atrocious right now. I know they've been really unlucky with injuries but even the good players are old. It's time for a serious rebuild.

Fn idiot

Reagor has Combine speed.  Wentz’s mechanics are awful.  Added muscle made him worse.   Mailata and Seumalo were solid tonight.

Even the Jets have a better deep passing game than we do. They had receptions of 37 and 30 yards to their wide receivers yesterday.

They're paying Wentz a ton, let him take his lumps and ride it out, you cant bubble wrap him while the other guys lose.

OL and WR are just atrocious right now. I know they've been really unlikely with injuries but even the good players are old. It's time for a serious rebuild.

OL is atrocious because they had a bunch of studs who got old together and then got injured together...and it doesn't help that they likely whiffed on their 2019 first round LT.  But whatever, there is a reason for the OL woes.

WR is just a debacle.  We've got veteran trades, first round picks, 2nd round picks, mid round picks, late picks, FA additions...and they aren't even injured.  They are all horrible.

His mechanics have gotten worse under Taylor. Wentz would benefit from having a guy like Orlovsky to coach him up

I still want to see Wentz with another HC/competent OC but they're not necessarily stuck with him the next two seasons. If they trade him before the third day of the league year in 2021, they save $852k in cap space.

That’s neglecting the $34M in dead cap. It makes zero sense to take on that much dead cap for such a minimal savings unless you get a Herschel Walker deal.

Reagor will get better and I'm willing to wager once the all-22 comes out, there will be plays showing he was open...like every other week when he played.

Technically Reagor does not have combine speed.  If anything, his rookie year has been evidence that, perhaps, we should pay attention to combine 40's.

He looks just like he did at TCU. Unimpressive as hell.

I just don’t understand taking Hurts with a 2 and never letting him play when it’s this bad around here. Just flushed a two for nothing.

Reagor actually disappointed with his combine time running a 4.47. And everyone said he's faster in-game.

Reagor didn’t have combine speed. He had game speed. What are you talking about?

If you can’t produce in the defenseless Big 12, it raises red flags. Jefferson on the other hand....
