They're paying Wentz a ton, let him take his lumps and ride it out, you cant bubble wrap him while the other guys lose.

When baseball players are in horrific slumps, their managers sit them down for a few games to clear their head.  You don't often see quality qb's sink to these depths...actually, we never see it.  I never have....but that calls for invoking comparisons to other sports.  Even the best hitters can sink to horrible, futile depths.  And then they do, they get pulled to get away from it all.

Important to point this out: when everyone looks bad, it's usually a sign of bad coaching/quarterback play.

Goedert seems frustrated with the team

Reagor doesn't have any speed. He's a more athletic Greg Ward thus far.

So he’s Agholor

Reagor actually disappointed with his combine time running a 4.47. And everyone said he's faster in-game.

He’s not a good enough route runner for his speed to translate right now. Corners just bail and run. Once he can stem a route or get better at deep comebacks, then the speed will translate.

Or when Doug figures out you can stretch a defense horizontally with speed too.

OL is atrocious because they had a bunch of studs who got old together and then got injured together...and it doesn't help that they likely whiffed on their 2019 first round LT.  But whatever, there is a reason for the OL woes.

WR is just a debacle.  We've got veteran trades, first round picks, 2nd round picks, mid round picks, late picks, FA additions...and they aren't even injured.  They are all horrible.

Yeah I agree. We had the best OL in the league for a while and guess what? We were good. Even without stud WRs. That awesome OL got old. It happens. And Kelce will be done soon unfortunately.

WR is such a cluster F. It would almost be better if they hadn't even tried to fix it but they really have. Lots of resources put into WR. Since this is part of the year on year on year failure, I think it's time to move on from Howie.

He looks just like did at TCU. Unimpressive as hell.

I don’t get this at all. His sophomore film was incredible. His junior film was good except his QB was the worst in the country.

I mean just....why?

I just don’t understand taking Hurts with a 2 and never letting him play when it’s this bad around here. Just flushed a two for nothing.

Sadly he’s the better of the last two 2nd Rd picks.

Reagor has shown no signs of having the problems between the ears that Agholor demonstrated almost immediately.  His hands have not revealed any red flags either.

Reagor is also far stronger and more stout than Agholor...better ups to get after the ball as well.

Reagor, despite his reputation as a burner...and Agholor's early knock was a lack of deep speed...Agholor actually looked a bit more agile and explosive than Reagor has early on.

I wasn't impressed with him at all. On top of Jefferson, I would have taken Brandon Aiyuk and Tee Higgins over him.

Someone tell Doug to please pick his three best receivers, or at least the three most important moving forward, and give them every single snap.

That BS rotation was almost as pathetic as his playcalling tonight.

Actually, it was equally pathetic.

I'm sure Schwartz meant it as a joke but based on how Metcalf takes that stuff....probably should have waited until after the game to tell him that.

Maybe he ends up a bust, but to say it was unimpressive film is crazy to me.

With that said, I agree that there is so much wrong with this offense that it's hard to make full, accurate evaluations.

I feel like we've been saying this for months lol

Basically yes

We'll see I guess... I hope he becomes a very good player.

I actually think Schwartz got this one right.  That's a stupid thing to say about a guy who has torched his defense twice, but the approach was a good one.

Put your best CB on an island against their best weapon, who happens to be the best WR in the NFL...let him get his chunks...but overload coverage against everyone else.

That was clearly his plan and it absolutely worked.  If he was flip/flopping coverages all game, sliding help to Slay, then Lockett goes off on Maddox, safeties are chasing down 80 yard passing plays every drive, and it's a total disaster.

I think they had the right approach on this one.

Yeah since the pick I said it was all Doug but idk anymore. I think he honestly was just the highest player on their board so they said screw it and took him.

Either way I didn’t like Hurts before round 4. What college QB gets benched in the national title game for a freshman and ends up being a good pro QB? He may be the worst starting Bama QB I’m the last 10 years and most of them amount to nothing in the NFL. Greg McIlroy and McCarron were easily better than him.

Oh ok... he looked amazing at times at Oklahoma. The best Big 12 QB of all time was Colt McCoy - career backup.

Outside of Kelce, who's had several poor snaps this year, has Richard Rodgers been the best player for this team on offense?

Schwartz was dumb enough to say that and then single him up all game? Yikes.

I don’t even think it was that bad of a plan, because it did shut down Lockett and force Metcalf to win a lot of low probability catches (relatively), but you don’t say that...

Even the Jets have a better deep passing game than we do. They had receptions of 37 and 30 yards to their wide receivers yesterday.
