If Lurie is forcing Doug to play Hurts he’s turning into a dog S owner and makes the job even less appealing.

Nah..Lurie wouldn't "force" anything, imo.   But I'm sure he would ask Doug why he insists on keeping Wentz in...when everyone on the planet can see he's just not there this year.

Cox stripped Mayfield last week. I believe Singleton recovered.

Oh yeah, we got a TD on the next play.

Packers have a better defense I think so that'll be difficult to watch as well

They can’t stop the run, but Doug won’t bother.

As a lover of the passing game and a staunch anti-establish-the-run guy, it pained me to write that.

The only chance Lurie has of getting the offensive mastermind type of coach he covets is to give the coach the power to bench Carson Wentz. Otherwise, he's gonna end up with an Arthur Smith type (which might be good, who knows).

Arthur Smith probably is one of the two or three best offensive coach candidates.

I'm relatively sure Lurie wouldn't object to benching Wentz.  Reports this week actually say exactly that.

If anything...my guess is that Pederson truly is loyal to Wentz.  And I'm guessing Howie is somewhere in the middle.

Bo and Zach are killing the Eagles

This makes way more sense. DK just pouring salt in the wound by embellishing.

They're right.

"Why not give Jalen Hurts a series.  It makes no sense."

I think the only way Lurie interjects with the QB decision is if he’s already made the decision that he’s done with Doug and wants to protect Wentz from suffering an injury that would impact his 2021 season under a new head coach.

The worse Wentz plays, the less attractive this job becomes. Our cap sucks. Our young talent is non-existent. Our QB is broken.

Where does the Eagles HC job stack up compared to: Jets, Jags, Cowboys, Texans, Lions, Chargers, Bears?

Don’t worry about HC candidates refusing to interview; there’s only 32 jobs in the world.  OC candidates bowed out last offseason because they had no interest in working for Doug.  We are seeing why this season — at least some of us are.

Lurie is much much smarter than I am, but I believe he needs to start protecting his biggest investment, which is Wentz.  With Doug’s play calling the Eagles will be very fortunate if Wentz doesn’t get the same fate Joe Burrow got — then the 2021 season will start way behind.

Get Wentz a decent head coach/OC and see if he can get put back together.  If Doug is retained for another season Wentz will be permanently wrecked

Probably the worst. But I imagine it’d be attractive for a veteran coach who feels he could turn it around quickly & fix wentz.

I liked him coming out and like many fans I wanted him with the JJAW pick...but his shtick is getting old...and quick.

Just fire Doug. But you don’t bench Wentz to protect him from injury. That only leads to more speculation and doubt from people.

Something that really hasn’t been talked about much in the last month is the lack of having Sanders in on even in the passing plays in the second half of games. Why are Scott and Clement getting so many key snaps in the second half? Sanders was amazing last year as a route runner. He was our best receiver for a long stretch. What happened to that? Is Sanders really that bad at blocking?

Sanders has been dropping A LOT of balls this season

I think we have a new Nocturnal in our hands.

For whatever reason he really struggles catching the short dump offs. But he’s great at making catches down the field. Why not give him some routes out of the back field like we did last year. Get him down the field. I guess that would be asking too much of Doug right now.

We did early in the year. Wentz missed him a couple of times and then he twisted himself into a pretzel and dropped a touchdown.

I agree totally.  I was thinking over the last couple of days, when Andy was here and was short on WR talent he worked Brian Westbrook into the ground until the defense was forced to game plan for him.  Doug treats Sanders as an afterthought, and Sanders is the Eagles best offensive player — I’m not sure it’s close.

With Doug and Matt Nagy coming off the AR coaching tree I’d be terrified to take a chance on Eric Bienemy

It's still early so anything can happen but as of now, my guess for next year is that Howie remains managing the cap and they bring in a "GM" for player personnel.

Pederson stays but they hire an experienced offensive coordinator (possibly former head coach).

Usually the way the NFL works is that when other teams know you need to dump salary they just wait until the player is released rather than trade for him.

I wonder which players the Eagles could get a draft pick for?  Ertz presumably.  I doubt there is any trade market for Malik or Desean

When's the last time you've seen an Eagles team this bad? This definitely tops 2015 and I think 2011 as well. Was it worse than 2005 and 2007? Probably the worst since some time in the 90s?

I'm 31. I can't remember a more shocking game and season. The Hurts back and forth stuff. Dumb play calls. The challenge. The DK story now. I mean. Come on man...

You couldn't write a more ridiculous movie. Michah Parsons or Jamar chase please. I doubt the tackle from Oregon falls. He would be a franchise changer.
