Is wallace still hurt? I’d like to see him get more reps.

Ok I’m just trying to play devil’s advocate for your obvious belief that if your team stinks you’re better off losing every game. If that were necessarily the case then why do the same teams seemingly pick high every year. Same with good teams picking late.

Yes. I’d rather the Eagles pick 6 than 16 but there’s no guarantee one player is going to make that huge of a difference. Actually it’s very unlikely. This year - if I were a Jags or Jets fan then I get that mindset because a Lawrence is a once a decade kind of prospect. That’s it though.

Just don’t understand how someone can be a fan of a team, watch the game, and root for them to lose.

Lawrence is once a decade? In the last 2 drafts we have had Kyler Murray and Joe Burrow.  I would take either of them over Lawrence.

Riddick has been a bitter Howie basher for years.

He may be right,  but he has no real credibility discussing eagles FO matters. He has an agenda.

As long as I agree with him, his opinion is correct.

Rodgers had a few good games.  Wentz has some trust on him and looks for him.  He can make a decent 3rd TE for the team, like Burton from a few seasons back.

He is a fine 3rd. We will need a 2nd though.

Also, am I the only one that is shocked that richard rogers is only 28. he does not look like he is under 30 (on and off the field)

Yeah wait what? They released Parks to give snaps to a rookie safety that’s not Wallace? What is going on in that building?

Been putting tweets up as I have not seen @ManuManu around today, must be fed up with the Eagles as we all are.

So you acknowledge that Doug should roll out Wentz more but does not, that he should call more up tempo but does not, and the one thing from the article saying they are simplifying things to help Wentz the defenses catch on and shut down.  Add that to a 25:75 run pass ratio, what exactly has Doug done to simplify things for Wentz ??

Regardless, I think the best thing for Wentz' own sake is if he took a breather for a game or two.  That point still stands.

No thanks. He’ll be 29 soon. Get someone young and develop them.

The Eagles are like the Bears but worse on defense.  Trubisky may also be a better QB than Wentz at this point.

Howie's goal is to have a team built entirely of UDFA.  Diamonds in the rough are one thing but having a big portion of your roster made up of UDFA is just a recipe for a mediocre/bad football team.

I mean if they keep Ertz I can see moving on from Rodgers.  If Ertz gets released, keeping Rodgers would be good.

No way no how. If Lawrence is draft eligible last year, he’d be on the Bengals. Both Murray and Burrow came out of nowhere. TL has been the number 1 pick in this draft for two years.

I mean they’d potentially have that in the kid togiai if they didn’t dick around and left alshon on PUP

Meh. He’s been playing ok but he’s not some great talent. If we’re going for a full tear down than go for the youth movement.

And he had a couple drops last night.  Everyone seems good when they get in the line up, but the offensive woes is like an infection that spreads.

I mean having competent players helps the down roster talent.  Also they have a young talented TE in Goeddert.  It's not like they are going to draft a TE in the top 100.  So having a competent number 2 doesn''t preclude having a younger number 3 TE on the roster that's a developmental player.

Everyone needs a boss like Lurie treats Howie

How are your trades? They suck.

How are your draft picks? Cleveland Browns circa 2005

Free agents? They suck too

Contract extensions? We are screwed

Sounds great, Howie. Keep at it.

Agree!

Lawrence looks and reminds me of those prototypical heismen winners from a big school

Guy throws a 3 yard slant and ends up with a 71 yard touchdown. His 370 passing yards, 339 of them were YAC

The only prospect who would have been taken over Trevor Lawrence in the last 20 years is Andrew Luck. And that’s a maybe. I’m not claiming he’s going to be great but he is that highly touted as a prospect.

He’s in the Luck, Manning, Elway category. Whoever has the number 1 pick will take him without hesitation. IDC if he tears his ACL during his pro day. He’s going number 1.

All I'm saying is don't settle and lock Dick Rod in as your #2 or #3 TE. Settling for lesser talent is how you get Greg Ward playing 70% of the snaps. If you want to bring him back, whatever, but have him at least have to earn it. Bring in some athletic UDFA's to challenge him. It's not hard to find reserve TE's. His blocking has been subpar and he's benefiting from standing wide open on blown coverages. He isn't particularly fast and he's not really doing anything all that impressive.

Contract keeps him on the team.

Now, why is he on the field over Fulgham? Because Doug.

At this point, he could be cut and the result would be the same as cutting him in the offseason.   Is it a coincidence that Fulgham disappeared and the offense that was showing signs of life against Baltimore and Pittsburgh got even worse than ever?   Nah... time to cut bait on him.   Whether it helps or not doesn't matter... gotta get rid of the rats, then fumigate the locker room.

I don't think he would have been drafted over Burrow last season.  He may have been drafted over Murray but I think Murray still may end up being the better QB.  The reality is that Lawrence has played on very talented offenses behind very talented o-lines.  He has relied on playmakers to make plays. Lawrence may end up being a great QB but I think his success is dependent on his environment.  Who knows how he will look on a bad team with bad skill players.
