That's how Vegas stays in business.   I'm not a bettor, but if I were, I'd take the money line every time.   The Seahawks really didn't care about that Hail Mary, nor the 2 point conversion.  All they cared about was the onsides kick, and they took care of business, got the W and left happy.   Meanwhile, that TD and 2 point screwed a lot of bettors.   If those folks had taken the money line, they'd have won... they'd have gotten a smaller pay out, but they wouldn't be filing for bankruptcy today.   "You don't go broke making a profit."

I think QB is way to high.  I would love to see Wentz with new coaching before I give up on him plus with his contract it is next to impossible.

QB is either on the list and at the top or doesn't belong on the list at all.

If your current QB isn't good enough, it's automatically the biggest problem.

This is why folks need to come to terms with the only practical answer that Lurie has in front of him — Wentz (and the offense) WILL get fixed.
The main question at this point is — does he leave Doug in charge to do it?  I’d say no.  Does he leave Howie in charge of finding and hiring the right candidate to do it?  That remains to be seen.

The Super Bowl is a long time ago now.  Three full seasons have come and gone.  The Eagles need to put all sentimentality towards it aside — it’s in the past, and should not factor into any decisions that Lurie needs to make for the future of the franchise.

If the 2021 football team is led by Doug and Howie I predict another 3 win season and virtually nothing left to rebuild on.

Doug Pederson has literally simplified the offense to benefit Carson Wentz.  Could he do more?  I guess.  Maybe we'll see some pee-wee league football plays put out there for Wentz.

Thank god we don't play them again this year.

Shareef Miller is gone as well.

Sadly, this is starting to feel like the 2011 season... 4-8, then they roll 4 games at the end, get to 8-8 and Andy gets one more year... and then the wheels fully come off at 4-12... or... was that last year, where the Eagles were 5-7, then they rolled 4 straight wins to get to 9-7 and make the playoffs... and then the wheels come off the following season (which is today)?

The argument kind of goes against itself and into circular logic.  If Doug had in fact dumbed down the offense and given Wentz one read option immediately after the snap, Wentz would be throwing much quicker than he is.  If Wentz simply isn’t running the plays as designed, then Hurts would/should have been put in as QB quite awhile ago.  If the argument becomes that Hurts hasn’t been put in because he wouldn’t be able to make the throws either, then it becomes obvious that Wentz isn’t the problem.
Then, if the argument becomes that Hurts isn’t the starter because Howie or Lurie is refusing to let Doug make a QB change, then Doug should just quit because he doesn’t actually coach the team.

I’m going to take a Tylenol and lay down.

The Eagles are making a few roster moves today and holding people accountable ..... it’s a good thing the offense is putting up huge numbers, or those guys would have to worry

He was a better player than the way he was used in Philly.  Why does this seem to be a common thing?

Packers signed Tavon Austin just so he can run misdirections against us.

So far Reagor reminds me of Austin.

My favorite parts about you trying to prove your agenda through this stupid article:

1) "According to a person with knowledge of the Eagles' plans."  Is that the same person that broke the brilliant story about Jalen Hurts getting more snaps this week?  Or was this another reliable source?

2) Even if this were true, Doug and his offensive assistants have failed MISERABLY.  Anyone with eyes can see that this offense isn't dumbed down AT ALL.  Before you cherry pick 1-2 plays from last night where a receiver actually was open, try looking at the other 58, where they couldn't even get off press coverage.  Or when they did, none could create even an inch of separation.

What agenda?  I like it how people around here say someone has "an agenda" if they disagree with their opinion.  That's rich.

You hate Carson Wentz, you hated him on the old board, you wanted to keep Nick Foles.

That's what they said. i can't vouch for whether or not it's true. However I do know that we are only getting contribution from one player from the 2019 draft and it's at the head coach's least favorite position.

I don't "hate" Carson Wentz.

I also don't slurp and idolize him like some of the knuckleheads in this thread do.

If you guys can't handle that, too bad.   How's that?

And yes, I totally stand by wanting to keep Foles over Wentz and in hindsight, this team would have likely been better.  We would have likely received several 1st round picks in return and could have built a nice, young team full of cheap talent around Foles and Foles would have cost less to keep as well.

That said, I've moved on.  Carson Wentz is and has been the starting QB for this team.  He had a heck of a run at the end of last season and finally seemed to becoming into his own.  He finally won several "high pressure" games towards the end of the season and I think had he not been concussed during that playoff game, good chance he wins that too.

That still does not change the fact that he has become a completely different player this year and has regressed to a point no one could have ever predicted.  The fact that I'm concerned about his regression vs "blaming everyone and/or everything else" like you Wentz Bots like to do shows that I have a much better "grasp" and understanding the dynamics of the game.

Yes, there are issues with the team this year.  Yes, they could use some better plays, etc.  But you can't ignore the tape, WEEK AFTER WEEK that shows Wentz missing wide open receivers every game.

EVERY GAME THIS YEAR,.

Looking over the names again drafted before Miller.

Nick Bosa (stud)

Clelin Ferrell (meh)

Brian Burns (solid)

Montez Sweat (solid)

LJ Collier (meh)

Zach Allen (too injured to tell)

Chase Winovich (solid)

Jaylon Ferguson (ok)

Oshane Ximines (ok)

Maxx Crosby (stud)

Anthony Nelson (meh)

Austin Bryant (meh)

John Cominsky (meh)

Still early, but some pretty good names on there.

But, neither guy has another gear. Their speed is the same in terms of no suddenness/burst.  Austin rarely gets separation, too.
