Maybe he’s McNabb and doesn’t know it exists?

I wonder what they'd do in the playoffs... 🤔

Change "laughter" to "screaming" and it becomes more accurate

Lawrence isn't a millennial.

Yeah he’s in the Gen Z category. My age is usually the cut off for millennial on the younger side

Most people don't realize that a subset of millennials are nearing 40 now. Not every young kid is a "millennial". Most millennials came of age during the worst financial crisis this country ever had outside of the Depression in 2008-2010 (thanks in part to the generations before them such as Boomers). So to me, they're far from the "soft" stereotype that gets heaped onto them.

I don't think he would have been drafted over Burrow last season.  He may have been drafted over Murray but I think Murray still may end up being the better QB.  The reality is that Lawrence has played on very talented offenses behind very talented o-lines.  He has relied on playmakers to make plays. Lawrence may end up being a great QB but I think his success is dependent on his environment.  Who knows how he will look on a bad team with bad skill players.

He easily would have been drafted over both. Burrow played on the best team since the early 2000s Canes teams but you’re only docking points for Lawrence?

Trust me, I've heard the hype, and people forget about the big hype guys quite often too.

Sammy Sleeves, Stafford(not as much as those two, but still a lot)

My point with these "big names" coming from big schools

They have better facilities, better coaches, more money, better talent around them and they refuse to play equal or higher talent unless forced to.

So congrats to Trevor Lawrence for throwing thousands of yards against a TERRIBLE ACC conference, the majority of the time it doesnt translate

Lawrence is a way better prospect than Bradford or Stafford. You can’t fault a guy for having good talent around them. That is the dumbest draft analysis crap out there. Even more dumb than "oh he’s gonna be a bust because other people from his school were busts”

The best QB in the league played in the dog crap big 12.

Millennials get a terrible rep for no reason. It’s the damn zoomers that are what get called "millennials”

Comparing the experience of growing up from 2008-2010 to the great depression is a very millennial thing to do.

Wasn't comparing the experience. Was saying that it was the worst financial disaster since the Depression.

Graduating college in 2009 wasn’t ideal but it’s not like I ever went hungry. Ended up going to grad school because I couldn’t find a job. Can’t really compare it to the depression though.

That being said, millennials do get a bad rap. I don’t think they lack toughness or resiliency but definitely lack some basic people skills as a whole.

Must watch. 20 minutes long. Doug should be fired. That one play call was freaking shocking. Frank and Dave were the masterminds. It is pretty obvious. They held Wentz accountable and he become great. I seriously can't believe they ruined his development.

They are emotional and mentally weak. They lack resilience. The entitled brats of the me generation

Plenty of reasons. Try managing them

So ask anyone that works somewhere that deals with the public. What age group you think makes a stink and acts entitled when asked to wear a mask? It’s rarely people in their 20s and 30s.

I blame McNabb.

I am serious about Marty.  It sure appears the offense is influenced by him and that is not a good thing. Just look at the run to pass ratio and think about MM’s under AR. He needs to go.

So many 'he's need to go.  So... many.

List of the front office guys, starting with Howie.
List of coaches, starting with Doug.
List of players, starting with Alshon.

From Sheils article in the Athletic (previously posted link) for any that can’t access.... he does a great job outlining the 7 possible different options Lurie can pursue.  I’ll post the first and the last option.  Very well outlined.  Option 7 is the only viable path if acting in the best interests of the team.

At the end of this piece I really appreciated the DVOA references, as this team has reminded me of the 1998 team at times,  just completely inept on offense.  Can’t really do anything well.  Carson doesn’t look much different now than if we were running Bobby Hoying or Rodney Peete out there.  Of course, that year we finished 3-13 and brought Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb in the next year.  The following year we were in the divisional playoffs against the Giants and could have won the game.  Then of course the 4 straight NFC-CGs culminating in the 2004 SB appearance (title stolen by Belicheat during NE high cheating era).

Bottom line this kind of year can be a spring board for much better times ahead.  The most important thing is to look forward and not hang on to the past.

What was option 5?

He was good in 2006 with Garcia but that was it.

They cost me too. I mean not big money but still I couldn't believe it. Bloody Doug and his 2 point conversions.

That's what you get for betting against your team. :nonono:

Wrong, at least for the majority born in the 80’s
