I don’t particularly feel strongly one way or the other, but I err on the side of fire everyone. But if we keep Doug we should keep Schwartz.

Fair enough. Seemed like you flipped back to wanting to keep him when you said you were glad to see people coming around on him.

I wanted Higgins as well.  I would have been fine if they took him in the 1st instead of Reagor.

But Reagor might end up being a really good player.

Yup I would have been fine with higgins in 1st as well, though I thought they could of traded down in the first for him.

Also really liked claypool

Found on Reddit but shows WRs are getting open

What is the data that they used? Is it every route or just on routes where they were targeted.  Because separation doesn't mean they are getting open when Wentz is able to throw to them.

If you start by calling someone a weasel snake, it immediately compromises the objectivity of the subsequent statements — plus it’s pure stupidity to say that Reagor is a punt returner and not a WR.  He was not known as a PR at TCU; he had 148 receptions and 23 punt returns in 3 college seasons.  Reagor was a first round prospect on almost every draft board leading up to the draft.  Jefferson was viewed as a later prospect until his combine showing.

Howie has made a lot of wrong choices in the past 3 seasons, but Scandrick is just bitter because he feels he shouldn’t have been released by the Eagles — yet the facts are that Scandrick never played another NFL game after Howie told him he was cut.

So, ironically, for all the mistakes he has made, Howie was 100% on the mark on his Scandrick evaluation.

I only hate Schwartz on game days.

Don't worry about it.  He's still a scum, but that doesn't mean that he's wrong all the time.  Someone can be right and still be completely incorrigible.

Well, Howie did sign him in the first place.

Not the right question, IMHO. A new GM and a new HC will want their own guys. Telling them Schwartz stays is counterproductive. The only guy I desperately want to keep is Stoutland.

Schwartz' contract is up after this year, so it's a moot point.   A new HC/GM would have to sign him to a new contract to retain him.  He won't be 'fired' either way. Just as DeFilippo was never fired, his contract expired and he left.

Agreed. And to be clear, I want all three of Howie, Doug, and Jim gone.

Yup.

True, but IIRC he was an emergency signing because most of the secondary was on the injured list at the time.

Schwartz has his flaws, but he does have his unit at 13th in DVOA. Considering the lack of talent in the back seven and the number of turnovers by the offense, this is noteworthy.

That is true, but the lack of talent on the back end has to be blamed on someone.  They drafted Sydney Jones in Round 2, Rasul Douglas in Round 3.  And they were not developed well, nor put in their best usage.   Ultimately, someone needs to be responsible for relatively high draft picks flunking out with this organization.  Ronald Darby was traded for, at the cost of a 3rd round pick, and he also washed out here, after looking very good in Buffalo, and even looking decent with Washington this year.   So, again, what's up with that?   Is it all on the DB coaching, the DC, or Howie?   Personally, I think its a little bit of all, and just once again, points to the complete dysfunctional organizational from Howie down.  Personally, I put less on the players than on the rest of them.   I think a new GM, new coaches with these same players could get to 8 wins easily next year...

We know he sucks, is a cancer, and I was beating the drum for him to be released last season.  He should have been cut as soon as he was cleared.  Nice contract Howie.  I can forgive resigning him after the Super Bowl.  Sure... let's play it back and try it again.  BUT... he then compounded the issue by kicking more of his money into the future (as he does so often), and forced us to keep him this year because cutting him last year would have been too expensive.  But, had he been a post-June 1 cut last year, we'd be better off now.

They cut him at the end of TC to not have to pay him the full salary by having him on the roster game 1... then brought him back in either Week 2 or 3, he had a nice game against the Jets (who didn't) and then was quickly cut there after because he sucks and they were getting others back.   He's upset mostly because he didn't get paid last season.  Howie used the system and made sure he only got paid for the games he played, and didn't keep him around for long after that.

Meanwhile, while he was on the roster, he was all buddy boy with Malcolm (check the Mic'd ups from those games), but immediately blasts Malcolm on national TV right after he's cut.  Perfect example of a snake.  So, he can call Howie a weasel (and be right), while being a snake.  Which is all fitting... weasels and snakes don't get along well.    Ask Rikki Tikki Tavi (yes, a mongoose, but that's in the weasel family).

You do this stupid crap all the time. If you don't want to be called a Fing idiot stop acting like a Fing idiot. Thank you Dr. Phil for your brilliant diagnosis. I'll file it in the toilet with the rest of the crap.

Dude, I enjoyed a player’s tweet and thought it was funny. Get over it. You’re acting like a child.

This could be one of the more "underrated" moves of the off-season for the 76ers.  Howard should be able to come in and do what they expected Horford to do.  (Which is basically come in when Embiid is not available and continue to win games).  Plus, his attitude and experience should be beneficial to the younger guys, especially Embiid.

They also have 2 rookie LBs that need development.

I love all these adjusted stats that can pump up an agenda

Here is a real stat, Eagles, tied for first in yards per carry, Eagles, 29th in rushing attempts.

Coaches are to stupid to do what works.

It almost looks like Doug wants to get fired.

Plus with Howard on the roster, you can be a champion without winning a championship.

He is definitely not doing what is best for the players on the field, especially the QB.

You guys posting about Jefferson and Claypool have to ask yourselves what would their stats look like if they were playing here.

Agreed.  Based on what Doug is doing offensively this year, he does not know how to use players to their strenghts.

@Ace Nova I was making a joke in reference to this statement

The Rockets lost Game 5 against the Warriors on Wednesday and were eliminated from the playoffs. Still, Dwight Howard told the media after the game that "no matter how the season ends, I'm still a champion. And I won't let anyone tell me different."

That's actually a really good attitude to have..both in sports and in life.   Although I'm not sure that's something I would "announce" at a press conference after losing a playoff game because people could take it the wrong way.   That's something you should always "think" about yourself and share with close friends/family, etc, imo.

Here you go, fellas...
