Dumb analogy.  You don't get bonus points for losing by less points.  It also does not affect your draft status.  If anything, I would rather get completely destroyed if it means that there will be major changes from the top to the bottom.

Exactly, so I'd rather watch a game we are going to lose but maybe at least be within 2 scores of than just get destroyed. Losing by more doesn't get you bonus points or affect draft status either. And its not going to dramatically change Luries decisions whether they lose by 14 or 28.

Man, if Slay misses this game Adams is having a career game

Slay must really be dealing with the first degree Burns metcalf gave him on Monday.

I re-watched the Eagles game, one play in the red zone the personnel that they had out there was Boston Scott, Caleb Wilson, Richard Rodgers, Dallas Goedert and John hightower. On top of that personnel being out there they went empty set. So the defense didn’t even have to think you were going to even run the ball. Legitimately besides Dallas and maybe Richard Rodgers why do you have any of the other three out there when you have better options for the red zone like Travis fulgham who can run a fade route or you can run a crossing route with reagor to use his speed there

I grew up in Charlotte, panthers fans are the most fair weather fans ever. I remember being 8 or nine and deciding that I liked the eagles fanbase better than my home town team. If an 8 year old can pick up on your lack of passion, you know its pretty prominent. I love that you let your kiddos choose their own team though!

I've been here awhile now (minus 2 years in Chicago), and the fans are the worst when this team is good.  They still think Cam Newton is a god almost as if there are no other QBs in the league.  I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there has barely been a 2nd generation of fans in this city, since they've only been around since '95.  My wife's family is nauseating when it comes to the Panthers.  They know absolutely nothing about the team, but they talk ish like they deserve a SB more than anyone.

That's a disgusting stat.  I don't even know if we can look this up, but I'm curious to see every team's pro bowlers out of the last 50 players drafted.

Was this from the same source that showed Larry Fitzgerald creates the same exact avg yards of separation as Tyreke Hill?

I brought up this play a few days ago.  Not only was it in the RZ but it was also at a pretty pivotal part of the game if I recall.  That's the best they can come up with?  It's pathetic.

Patriots haven’t drafted one future Pro Bowl player since Jamie Collins in 2013.  It’s not good, but it’s not the be-all, end-all

Yup I would have been fine with higgins in 1st as well, though I thought they could of traded down in the first for him.

Also really liked claypool

Utebird's offense if the Eagles drafted who he says he liked after the draft:

QB: Mahomes

RB: Kamara

TE: Travis Kelce, George Kittle for 12 personnel

WR: Tryeke Hill, Michael Thomas, Davante Adams, Higgins, Claypool

OL: Schwartz, Quentin Nelson, Kelce, Brooks, Ramczyk

I would have added McCaffery as the RB, but that would just be silly.

I’m actually listening to the birds with friends podcast right now and even they brought it up. It is absolutely maddening that what they came up with as a play they’d thought would work

Maybe they think if they put enough jags out there the defense won’t key in on them. Worked for Croom, also worked for Butler.

Or you put a guy like Wilson out there who has no game tape they have no idea what to expect then you surprise them with him.

Absolutely fantastic section of that podcast is from the 45 minute mark to about 49 minutes and 30 seconds they talk about GM’s and building up the team and once you get to the pinnacle the next point of how you go about sustaining success. For anyone who listens to their podcast it might have been one of their best discussions they’ve had all year.

I see what you did there, you implied that I only say I thought guys would be good after they turned out good, you caught me, guilty as charged it was my diabolical plan all along to gain favor with the self described blog scouts yet now I'm ruined all because of your uncanny detective work and shall banish my self to the planet Degobah living out the remainder of my days in exile...I wonder if they have WiFi there???

Eagles offense garbage all year. They received the opening kick off vs Seattle.   Seattle d offsides on 1st down.   1st and 5 for dp and wentz.   3 straight incompletions.  Punt.  That sequence is still irking me

i just cant take it

That 1st drive perfectly illustrates this entire organization from top to bottom this season.  Drop, Wentz misses pass that could have gone for a huge gain, drop.  This season's slogan:

No plan, Stupid decisions, Horrible Execution, Zero accountability

This is the old soul in me but if I’m a GM during the draft I’m docking a point or two from each prospect who sat out this season. Makes me slightly question their desire to play football and be a good teammate. For most of them it’s probably nothing though.

I somewhat understand it if the guy is a top prospect.  Like top 20 in the 1st round.  How much can the #5 overall prospect improve his draft stock?  All he can really do is hurt it, get COVID, or suffer a devastating injury.

However, if they are viewed as mid-late 2nd rounders or later?  I'd take some of them off my board, because along with possibly being high on themselves, they're stupid too.

Fans always get caught up when a fast, mobile QB comes along and he's fun to watch.  But you still have to be able to throw if you want to be a QB.

The media and analysts were all over his jock too.  The formula for a long-lasting, successful QB has proven to be almost full proof.  If you run better than you throw, you won't last long as the top dog.  I'm honestly more surprised he hasn't been injured yet.
