It'll be more of the same regardless because a new GM is still stuck with this cap situation until some of these contacts expire.

On the other hand,  if Howie were still here then,  and switched gears from trying to hold the super bowl window open,  to rebuilding, I bet he'd do a great job with contacts again.

Of course,  at this point he shouldn't survive in his position to see that day.

Nope.  It wouldn't be more of the same, because with Howie, we bring back a 38 year old broken down player, and then pay him extra to suck at LT, instead of sucking at RG, like they originally stupidly had planned to use him.  Or forcing a rat on to the field who can't run, because he was stupidly extended and had money pushed to the future.  Or tosses other young players from the roster to hold on to this rat because he can't stand to admit that he sucks and it was a massive mistake.

The new GM would likely feel very comfortable tossing aside all the old, bad contracts as quickly as possible.  Howie has proven he's not willing to do that.   So, while you may want to believe that he could switch gears, he hasn't yet, and should have 2 years ago.

That 1st drive perfectly illustrates this entire organization from top to bottom this season.  Drop, Wentz misses pass that could have gone for a huge gain, drop.  This season's slogan:

No plan, Stupid decisions, Horrible Execution, Zero accountability

Sorry, bro... that pass was intended for Ward.   It would not have gone for a huge gain.

Then your eyes are gone oldtimer. That’s perfect evidence of bogus.

You grow tiresome with the age stuff.  But, if that's all you have to support your position, maybe you should reconsider your position.

The angles for those camera shots make it impossible to definitively see where the ball is in relation to the end of the marker.  But, if you want to believe something different, feel free.    The one shot appears to be from slightly in front of the marker, making the ball appear to be past it... and the other to be slightly behind, making the ball appear slightly behind.  But, given the separation between the ball and the sticks, we don't know where the ball really is.  Study some angles and get back to me when you can explain what I just posted.

Good point.  I was more focused on the amount of green in front of the guy, rather than the unathletic tiny ex-QB that people on this board think is great.

I’m shocked he didn’t let it just go over his head or try to fair catch it.

7TDs for for Rodgers

Who?

The guy they decided to bring in for a critical 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 who looked as lost as I’ve ever seen a player ever be lost on a play. Lined up completely wrong, took Wentz like 30 seconds to try to get him set up then eventually just decided to QB sneak himself.

Honestly they should’ve brought out the index card. It’s the only way to really know if it’s a first

It's like the Sixers and Horford, sort of (since Brand is still here).

A new GM's first order of business would be trimming the fat.  Get all the bad contracts off the books, rip off the bandaid...true slash and burn like the Native Americans used to do (I'm reaching back to 3rd grade history here).

No GM is going to do that to the roster HE built.  Not even a great one, let alone Howie.  Howie's goal would be for those contracts to fade into the abyss over a few extra years while the players are semi-salvaged.

This.  Whoever posted those photos originally on twitter is just trying to stir up controversy.  Same thing in tennis.  If you stand behind the line, the ball can look to drop in, when in reality it went past the line.  There's no definitive way to judge either picture unless we are directly on the line.

Probably getting re-deployed again. Bunch of our other athletic trainers are starting in the COVID ICU on Monday.

Id much rather be watching basketball games this time of year. <_<

Yup that same guy. That was amazing for a good 7-8seconds he just looked at wentz and wentz motioning and yelling to him to set up and then basically says F it

The season is over. Fletcher Cox is probably still our best player. We just guaranteed his salary for next year in a restructure.

If he's having anything close to a serious injury, IR him for the year.

Fletcher Cox will be a rotational run stopper by the time this team is competitive again.  If we are going to pay him $50m per year, we might as well watch him play while he still can.

Is Cox going to the Hall?

I re-watched the Eagles game, one play in the red zone the personnel that they had out there was Boston Scott, Caleb Wilson, Richard Rodgers, Dallas Goedert and John hightower. On top of that personnel being out there they went empty set. So the defense didn’t even have to think you were going to even run the ball. Legitimately besides Dallas and maybe Richard Rodgers why do you have any of the other three out there when you have better options for the red zone like Travis fulgham who can run a fade route or you can run a crossing route with reagor to use his speed there

What was Seattle’s personnel? Base or a fourth LB?

Edit: Not defending it, just curious.

I don’t agree with the assessment, but the picture is fantastic 😂

"Pederson has handed the reins over to pass game coordinator Press Taylor several times in recent games, and could give him more responsibility starting Sunday in Green Bay, according to the sources. Senior offensive assistant Rich Scangarello has also been calling plays, specifically in two-minute situations, since the beginning of the season.”

They were in a 4-3. 3 linebackers. Two were actually 5 yards back of the line of scrimmage over Richard Rodgers. Corners covering Wilson and Scott who both run five yard routes

on the throw wentz throws it Behind rodgers. I assume he thought Rogers was going to go the opposite way on his route and he goes right when he throws it expected him to go left. Rogers ha  little separation but Wagner was closing in on that and I’m pretty sure if he catches it he gets 3 yards but I’m not positive that thing does get knocked down. Also goedert and Hightower ran the same post route from opposite sides of the field.

Looking at it a couple more times I think wentz was actually going to go to hightower but the safety made terrific beat on the route. I’m thinking more now wentz might have wanted to go to hightower and short arms it seeing that safety coming up that probably would’ve picked it off if he tried to go to hightower. He’s looking in his direction and throws it to an area no one had a chance to get to it.

I could be wrong but I think they just came up with play designs before with Reich and DeFillippo, Doug still called the plays though

Sounds like someone in Doug’s camp is starting to leak to take some heat off him
