Burrow-Chase with the Bengals would be cool, but I agree that 99% Sewell is the pick.

Oh I’m sure burrow is going to push for that. But with how bad that offensive line is they desperately need someone like Sewell.

I don’t know how Jacksonville feels about fields or the other QBs not named Lawrence but if they are not head over heels about fields, I would not be shocked if someone who is high on fields trades up and they go after some like lance a couple picks later and gets some extra picks in doing so.

This offseason I’d trade Hurts to the highest bidder. Let Sudfeld be the backup. Make sure Wentz’s head is clear as possible. If he continues to suck and/or gets hurt we know it’s time to move on

Hurts has no market value; he was drafted late second and rated as an early 3rd before the draft.  Since then he’s spent a wasted season with Doug plowing him into the DL like a short-yardage RB.  Hard to believe he would bring better than a late third round pick; possibly even a 4th.  He’s more valuable as the Eagles #2 QB with some upside.

Sudfeld stinks, and Howie said before the season Sudfeld wants to go somewhere else where he can compete for a starting gig — part of the rationalization for drafting Hurts in the first place.

Burrow’s ACL just informed him he’d better push for an offensive line that can keep him out of the hospital if he wants any chance at a long career.  A good WR can be gotten with the #34 pick.

The Eagles, OTOH, haven’t had a bonafide #1 stud WR since Terrell Owens.  With Jeffery, Jackson, and likely Ertz gone for 2021 they have a desperate need for a lead-dog WR to go with Fulgham, Reagor, and Goedert.

Still like Waddle

Leading up to the draft last April I pointed out a few times that he’s a better prospect than Henry Ruggs was.  I wish he’d come back to play in the college football playoff to show his ankle is 100%, but I doubt it happens.

For me he’d be a great second choice at WR if the Eagles somehow miss out on Chase.

I was thinking tonight besides that 1.5 seasons with Terrell Owens when was the last time the Eagles had a top 10 receiver for multiple seasons. It might go all the way back to the 80s that you can say besides that one year and a couple games with Owens they had a top 10 wide receiver.

Jurgen Klopp is still my favorite Spitting Image character.  Seeing interviews with the real guy makes this caricature hilarious:

The team has so many needs, they need to draft difference makers at any possible position.  I don’t care what position they take at hopefully #4 overall, only that they take the best player...

Another week, another a** kicking

Remember when several of you were pounding the table for Clowney? How'd that work out?

I think you're being kind. It's going to be ugly.

In theory I agree. I love Micah Parsons, but it'd be really tough to justify an off-ball LB in the top 6 over an elite WR prospect such as Ja'marr Chase.

He's always been a guy that you can't count on.   He was that guy at SC, he was that guy in Houston, he's been that guy in Seattle.  He's all about himself, with an air of indifference, with a sprinkling of turd mixed in.

Right now, I don't really care who they select, as long as the people making the decision are all different.

The Eagles have been played hard all year. This is not a soft team. The problem is coaching and QB play. No team meeting is going to change this.

If they draft a WR in the first 2 rounds i'll be pissed. We've had enough of that in the last few years.

People say he got pancaked as if the guard didn’t tackle him because he shot the gap too quickly for Metcalf to block.

That’s a damn good play, and he blew it up along with Hargrave.

50/50 here, great burst and recovery but one could argue the guard tackling/falling on him stopped him from completely overrunning the play.

Does 2013 DeSean and 2014 Maclin count?

Not sure he’d get on the field with Alshon and DeSean here.

No, he would be better off learning from the sidelines or he would win his plays but Carson wouldn't see him.

I’m pulling for nick foles gets released after 2021 and we bring the gang back together have wentz looking over his shoulder at hurts and hurts looking over his shoulder at foles.

Love Foles, but this move might not bring the positive outcome.  Wentz will still under pressure to perform knowing someone more accomplished is right behind him.  Hurts is also waiting on the wing to step up.

Sudfeld will be gone after this season.  Not a factor in this situation.

And I disagree.   If it is below market, its only slightly below.... and those picks would have been very helpful in adding young talent to this roster... which hopefully would help us beyond 2021... when it matters.

Did you imagine this complete dumpster fire we are in right now when the trade was made?  Your argument seems based on hindsight.  I honestly don't think that trading a 3rd for a top 5 CB, with it being a position of need was a bad thing at the time.  Ya now we can look back and say that 3rd would be nice, but at the time is was a steal.
