As far as Hurts affecting Wentz, you think Grappallo affected Brady?

If you're gonna be a NFL QB, you can't play afraid.

I regard Jay Glazer much like Geraldo Rivera finding Al Capone’s vault — he doesn’t offer much insight.  Wentz disliked the Hurts pick, I’m sure — but there’s no way he sees Hurts as a better QB than him or even a serious threat.

Lol I'm not surprised the Alshon contract is #1. Just horrible

I don’t think it necessarily knocked his confidence, but I bet it affected his comfort level and trust in the building.

Everything about that pick was stupid and poorly thought out.

I don't think it messed with his head as much as people are saying. Seems there's a new thing every week that some beat writer is trying to pin all of Wentz struggles on

Why can't it be a bunch of things? This season has been such a mess that there's so many factors likely causing his crap season

The Wentz hating crowd in here like to ignore the other factors though

It started out horrible... then Howie doubled down with the restructure.

There is about what 3 teams desperate for a QB and two are getting Lawrence and Fields

3 teams?  There’s more than that.

Jets, Jaguars, Bears, Patriots, Broncos, Washington, Colts ..... throw DAL in there if they’re picking top 10 and Dak’s agents aren’t budging off of their $38-40M demands

Browns tackle just caught a TD

We don't think of creative crap like that

I think a lot of things are off and this organization has failed him in a lot ways.

Our WR corps heading into the year was inexcusable. They didn’t add a single proven startable vet at the position.

The offensive scheme has cratered.

Instead of drafting help in round 2, we drafted a backup QB/tinker toy that potentially has him looking over his shoulder or stealing reps from him by sending him off the field or being a blocking wide out. There is no flow, rhythm.

That’s not an excuse for Wentz playing this poorly, but nothing has helped him get out of this funk.

Shenault looking good today for the jags.

Dolphins just ran the same play they did against the eagles on special teams and scored a rushing touchdown

and called back for illegal formation.

Mack hollins has at least one reception in every game over the last 5 weeks.... JJAW can’t say the same

with the jets , bengals and jags winning so far , the eagles aren't out of the first pick race LOL . that would be sweet if the team wanted to trade down for a haul of picks

Yeah i don’t see the jets winning 3 games let alone 4 that we’d need to get no. 1 since we tied.

Jags have 1 win, Jets 0. I doubt one more win in those numbers improves our chances. neither one of them teams are getting 4 wins which because of our tie would have to happen for us to get the top pick, lol

Try, Ricardo Allen!

the Falcons are such an aggravating team to watch

Titans defense all year has been bad. They’ve given up 24 points or more in every single game but three and two of the games they didn’t give up 24 more they had an entire off-season to prepare and they had 2 weeks to prepare. They are giving up 26.5ppg. Also gave up 31 and 30 to the jags and bengals

What a Fing catch by Calvin Ridley.

All that lining up paid off! Good for him.

Marshon Lattimore could be called for pass interference on literally every throw

They're going to need a running clock for the second half of Browns-Titans. The stomping continues.

I looked up stats/rankings on ESPN for how the Eagles O and D matches up vs the Packers D and O.

Eagles O              category               Packers D

5.0  3rd               rush/YPC              4.6   25th

116.2   13th       rush/YPG              114.4   14th

10  T17th            rush / TDs              11  T15th

73.8  3rd worst  pass/QBR             98.4   26th

6.1  3rd worst    pass/YPA              7.4  21st

16  T20th            pass/TDs             20  T18th

15  2nd worst    pass/INTs             7  T23rd

46  WORST        pass/sacks           24   16th

By these stats the Packers don't have a good D as they seem slightly below average.  Sad that for 4 of 5 O passing categories that the word "worst" is after our ranking.  So we're 3rd in YPC while GB is only 25th on D, yet I bet we don't make a commitment to running the ball enough this game.  They don't a particularly good pass D, but neither did the Cowgirls or SEA and yet we basically did nothing against either of them in the passing game so I don't expect much today either.  We need to run the ball this game.  It's really the only chance we have on O.  Isn't that what we did last year to them?  We ran the ball and racked up loads of yards on the ground?

Eagles D              category              Packers O

4.1   9th               rush/YPC            4.4   10th

128.2   24th        rush/YPG            121.9   10th

16  T3rd worst   rush / TDs             9   T23rd

96.8   23rd          pass/QBR            117.6   1st

7.1   17th             pass/YPA            8.1   5th

14   3rd                pass/TDs            33   1st

3   tied WORST   pass/INTs           4   T2nd

36   T2nd             pass/sacks         12   T2nd

Surprised we've only allowed the 3rd fewest passing TDs on D.  GB has the #1 passing O despite not having a great receiving corps.  They have probably the best WR at current, however, and Rodgers has been on his game all season except vs the Bucs.  Key here is to contain/shutdown their ground game and then hope our 2nd most productive pass rush can pressure Rodgers enough to throw him off his game.  If we let them run the ball on us well enough that they can maintain a balanced O then we'll be in deep ish.

I know the majority of us didn't expect us to walk into Lambeau last year and pull out a W, yet we did with the help of early TOs which we are even worse at this season.  I think that's what we'd need today is to get 1-2 early TOs and convert them to points.  I just don't see either happening.

@In2football  Put me down for Packers 27 - Eagles 16

Addition:  I find it interesting that we're top 10 in rush D YPC against and close to bottom 10 in YPG allowed.  Shows that teams are committing to running the ball against us.  Huh, be cool to see our O do that.
