I agree.  But if he did ask then I'm sure somehow it would get leaked.

I’m doubting he would do it before the end of the season but I agree it would get leaked.  Everything does with this organization. in the off-season I think people would be more understanding if he went to lurie and said I want a change of scenery it’s not working here. You have your QB you love in hurts (compared to Wilson) so it’s best for both of us.

After that it becomes do the eagles abide to him asking for that. I would guess they would likely do that. Then Eagles better hope if you send him somewhere like the Colts that he doesn’t have success. Because if he winds up playing like we saw at the end of 2019 and prior due to with that team and coaches the Eagles are gonna have egg all over their face unless Jalen Hurts becomes Russell Wilson like they thought when they drafted him.

If there is a planned coaching change, then Pederson is the last person to be sitting them down and talking to them....

For the next 4 weeks at a minimum Doug is the head coach, and he is empowered by the organization to make those decisions and have those conversations.

Professional athletes come to understand that things change very quickly.  Wentz had 5 seasons with Doug, which is more than a lot of NFL QBs get.

I suspect he’s coming to terms right now that the 5-year partnership is about to end

No we have none of it from Coaches. Though some players show it routinely,

When Drew Brees is ready to play again I’ll bet there is no controversy who the QB is. We can’t figure out who the F is gonna play Oline from week to week.

I had a feeling Drew Brees was gonna play this game. I didn’t think they would let him go into that Chiefs game without having played for four weeks.

How would he look as the biggest clown? I'll give you a great example. This is what Patty Roy did to get out of Montreal. This is what James Harden is doing right now.

You want to pay me, surround me with sh!t, draft a backup on top of me. Ruin my flow with trick plays while using the same plays from 2 years ago. F U TRAD ME

*IF* I were Wentz I would of asked for a trade as  soon as they 1) didnt bring on an OC and 2) when they drafted Hurts. NOTHING good could of that

I’ll agree and disagree here. Drafting Hurts after giving Wentz a huge extension was a recipe for disaster that many were critical of.

Ill admit I don’t know enough about Patrick Roy situation but James Harden can F off ... they’ve given him talent. In fact, they’ve given that joker more than any other Star. He gets the ball every possession, his stats are even more inflated. Rarely plays both ends of the floor. His job is to make them winners. He can go pound sand.

If Carson demands a trade (don’t think he will) he can go pound sand too. But yes, "superstars” now think it’s AAU. It’s gross to be honest.

It’ll be a F’ing scrimmage for them. Might as well get him a few practice reps vs our vanilla defense.

Is asking and demanding the same thing? Because I think he would go to Jeffrey Lurie And the eagles asking for a change of scenery because it’s not working here and the Eagles have a quarterback that they compare to Russell Wilson that they like. So it might just be better for the Eagles and himself for him to be elsewhere. I don’t think that’s a demand. He might say trade me now I won’t play here anymore but that doesn’t seem like Carson would do that. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Carson go to the Eagles and says do you guys have Jalen hurts and you guys are high on him and this isn’t working here with me it benefits both of us to trade me somewhere else

If he is coach in name only, then all conversations addressing beyond this year will be handled by someone else. If Lurie is behind this decision he may have to bring Wentz in himself...there is too much money invested to not address the plans going forward both short term and long term

If Wentz doesn't demand change after this either Doug goes or he goes then he isn't the type of player or person that I want leading a franchise to be honest.  No franchise type QB would take something like this and just roll with it.

When has any team benched their franchise QB for the last 4 games of the season then went back to him the following year and succeeded?

Well run teams who have 27 year old QBs who have shown they can play at MVP level will stick with their QB through 1 year of struggles when clearly the rest of the cast along him are also playing like crap.

Make no mistake, Doug is only doing this now to try to save himself. If we somehow go 2-2 the rest of the way with Hurts and Doug stays we will have set our franchise back by at least 3 years.

I don’t remember another scenario like this in football. I’ve never seen any player fall so fast and hard like Wentz has this season. But part of me thinks that a rapid fall is better than a slow gradual fall. His numbers from 2017-2019 improved despite a gradually worse supporting cast. Coaches and players.

The guy is insanely talented. He’s not Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins, or Case Keenum.

Wentz might be toast, but he’s shown he can be elite as recently as a year ago and his contract forces you to plan on him being the starter.

Top to bottom I can still name 10-15 teams that would die for the Eagles roster.

Eagles roster *isnt that bad*. I believe the coaches dont put thier players in the right positions to win.

Crazy things like, Alshon getting more snaps that Fulghan

Giving your best offensive weapon more than 7 carries a game

Your first round punt return specialist having 3 total returns in 8 weeks

playing Nathan garry over my 5 year old

Remember these coaches couldnt find a spot for Golden State. They didnt know they had Boston Scott/Greg Ward/Fulgham until they were forced to use them.

JJAW/Mack Hollins both on record saying they had no idea what there rolls were

If they didn't know THEIR correct rolls were amoroso, they didn't belong in this city to begin with.

What would be your initial thought if he was traded to say, the Colts ??

I guess I’m thinking more along the lines of Carson going media route ... which again I don’t think he’d ever do. And I started thinking James Harden who wants to go play with his buddies and hasn’t shown up to camp despite being given the keys to the franchise.

The Eagles looking for that magical spark to reverse their fortunes:

It was going to be a scrimmage anyways. The Eagles are terrible at containing running quarterbacks. Taysom Hill was going to run all day and I’m guessing kamara as well. Probably get mismatches on our linebackers all day with kamara. Plus Sean Payton is a dope so he’s gonna run up the score.

this is also a no lose situation for Doug Pederson going into this game with hurts. If hurts plays well it saves him. However (more likely) if hurts does not play well it goes into an excuse of well he was a rookie playing against the number one ranked defense in the entire NFL. So you are likely not going to get a definitive answer if his offense is truly better in this game because of hurts or if it’s the same old same old.  Cause with Carson or without Carson they were likely going to get destroyed in this game.

I wouldn’t necessarily call Kyrie Irving a buddy of James Harden. It’s been known kyrie does not want to play with Harden. I actually think if the nets make that trade there’s a subsequent trade at some point to trade kyrie and bring back other pieces to build around KD and James harden

I just realized we benched our QB for a QB who was benched by a QB who was benched two weeks ago.

To be honest I think that is where he’s going or San Francisco. Those other two teams in my opinion make a ton of sense. I believe the Niners would move on From Jimmy Garoppolo if they knew they could get Carson Wentz on the contract he has because in a trade and is very similar to bridgewater for the receiving team. And I’m guessing they’re not gonna have to overpay in terms of draft capital to get Carson Wentz. And the Colts I believe realize they’re a quarterback away from being a legit Super Bowl contending team. Rivers is just not good enough at this stage of his career.

I think teams forget that Daniel Jones is mobile. He doesn't run a lot, but when he runs he has the speed to be productive.  Teams know that Hill is going to run it a lot. So, I think they might do better against Hill vs. Jones. We'll see.

Patrick Roy’s situation was not at all similar.  The team President had just fired the head coach and general manager, and replaced them with former players with no management experience.  The head coach left Roy in net while the team was being shelled and waited until the game was 9-1 before he made a move.  When Roy stopped a routine shot from outside the blue line the fans jeered him, which he responded to by throwing up both hands in defiance.

It was a public embarrassment of their franchise player, out there in-game, on the ice for the entire fan base to witness.

I don’t know about that. I still think you have issues where you have defensive ends crash down too much and don’t keep containment.

I think there was a report anyways that Drew Brees is ready so it’s gonna be a brees regardless. Which is probably even worse since we might not have Darius slay and I don’t know what’s going on with Avante maddox so you might be down to NRC and Jacquet on the outside

So many clips like this are so weird. Reagor looks like he doesn't care, yet he's still open.

Dude, he just gave 3 clear examples that is not the case, and there is many others out there.  As I stated in my last to you, the local Seahawks guys don't see Carson Wentz as even one of the top 5 issues with this team.

You got your wish though, Hurts is the starter.  Please remember, don't use those EXCUSES that you said we are not allowed to use for Carson.  He will make the line block better, he will make the play calling better, he will make the WR's get open and catch, he will make the defense make a stop after a score.

Please show me where I said any of those things. Because you can't.

I've stated from DAY ONE that if the issues with the offense have more to do with everything above, we will be able to see it if another QB starts.  That's what I've said from the beginning and I've NEVER detracted from that.

It depends on how ready Brees really is. He might play, but not be 100%. He had multiple broken ribs, so he might have trouble getting zip on passes if he's not 100% back. I don't know how he can be 100% coming off multiple broken ribs and a punctured lung, but he's one of those guys who might want to play at 80%.

Well who is a buddy of Kyrie ? Him wanting to go there after what they’ve done for him reeks.
