That excuse was over years ago.  These athletes know exactly what they are doing when they do it especially a person like Cox.

Your giving them too much credit. They always will and still do stupid things on social media

Are the two mutually exclusive?

I can't think Wentz is doing a great job but still believe it would have been better (for the team all around) had we traded Wentz and kept Foles?

I don’t care what you do. And I would say they tie together. Because you want to be so right that we should’ve done that trade that you will skew everything and put a complete bias on Carson Wentz and ignore all the other things going on with this team.

all I’m saying is you  look ridiculous because every time he’s doing well you’re all in and pandering to people. But every time he struggles you’re all out like you predicted it.  It is the ultimate front runner situation.

Hey guys I waited till now to say It was a good game. I was very nervous in the 4th quarter.

Fair breakdown.

Stop living in fear and embrace it.

Foles has failed 3 times as the starter, including once in Philly, and lost his job to injury / poor play every time.

So what?

I'm not going to get into the "good fit for this system" or the entire "myriad of draft picks we would have received in return" and "better cap situation" because I've explained it ad nauseum and you know where I stand.

So I got a lot of pushback suggesting that Wentz cratering would make this job less attractive than some of the other openings, but how attractive is this job of Howie is still in charge?

Howie will be the one that scares off any hire.  Why come here if you're going to be undermined?

On the other hand, being the guy that comes in and rehabs Wentz into what we've seen he can be would be a dream for most coaches.

We has this silly debate 2-3 years ago I believe?  And we went through similar scenarios.  And at the time it was technically "not legal" to tag a player with intention to trade him.

And we both agreed that although it's technically not legal it still happens because it's nearly impossible to prove.  Do you not remember that?

That was your narrative.  It is very easy to prove, teams are totally transparent about it.  I have now found 8 stories that say clearly that Dee Ford has received the franchise tag, and the Chiefs have every intention of trading him.

Matt Cassel (2009) and Jared Allen (2008) also traded after being tagged.  There was no doubt the Pats were trading Cassel.

Proof positive you can not admit you are wrong.  You can site some rule that is never enforced, but it happens all the time.  This has been going on for 10+ years.

I don't think Howie is going anywhere. Doug will be the fall-guy.

If Hurts falls flat on his face, as they are setting him up to... then Doug isn't the one who made that selection.  Howie decided that rather than support his big money franchise QB, who willed them to the playoffs with the likes of Robert Davis, Deontay Burnett, JJAW, and Greg Ward... that giving him one raw athletic WR was sufficient 'upgrade' to the offense that he could spend a 2nd round pick on a backup QB who also lacked polish, but had a high athletic quotient.

Nice job, Howie.

I'm an Eagles fan, of course I'm gong to get excited when our QB is playing well.  That's what fans do.

What fans shouldn't do is idolize a certain player and hold him in higher regard than the rest of the team...(to the detriment of the team, the coaches and the FO) ..which is the unfortunate situation with most Wentz apologists.

Yeah... that was not a good game.  That was a trip to the dentist and sitting through a root canal, minus the novocaine.   But the good news is, the fallout from this game will cause more pain for the coming weeks and months, just like a botched root canal.

I think you misread my post.

I said do you post hypothetical scenarios that you think are wrong (As in when you actually make the initial post)

I have hypotheticals i think could be wrong or right. I put them out there cause they are a hypothetical i believe could be the case. If they turn out to be wrong with actual proof not just your assumption that you take as fact I’ll admit it

In this current discussion i don’t know if lurie went to doug and said start the kid i need to know what he has for my organization  and doug didn’t really want to do it and jeffery did. Doug obliged cause lurie has the ultimate power. Yet you are trying to tell me that it’s been proven doug wanted to play the kid is proof cause he’s starting. It might not have been his decision even if he says that at a presser. It wasn’t his decision on his OC and coaches and the report about howie with active game day roster. So that’s not out of the realm.

You were wrong when you said it was "legal" to do that and I posted official NFL rules PROVING THE POINT.  So why on Earth would I admit to being wrong when I wasn't?  Are you insane?

We went back and forth with this and agreed that although you were wrong and I was right (in reference to the rules) it still happens because it's nearly impossible to prove and we left it at that.

But if you want to bring it up again we can.  YOU WERE 100% WRONG AND I WAS 100% RIGHT in regards to official NFL policy on the situation.  Happy now?

Honestly I expect Hurts to be able to move the o. He'll make a read maybe 2 and then run like hell.

I don't think I have single person hold Wentz to a different standard than the rest of the team.  No one has said he's playing great.  Everyone has said he needs to improve but the question remains whether he could return to form.

I said they should tag and trade him, you said they can not, I sited exampled back to 2008 of it being done.  You are adding your own narrative to it.  Does not matter what the policy is, it is not enforced, and teams flaunt it in the face of the NFL what they are doing.

Doug Pederson is the coach of THE ENTIRE team.  When I stand up for Doug it's because I'm also standing up for the rest of the team.  Do you really not understand that??

A few of you need to stop with the I told you so's that trail back 4 seasons...  We've got a full blown new QB controversy to discuss, and it has nothing to do with Nick Foles.
