If we do decide to move on from Wentz, I don’t think the contract is as prohibitive as the pundits are saying. The acquiring team will have to pay him a lot, but they can get out of his contract quite easily.

Indianapolis devoted $46M in cap space to Brissett and Rivers. You don’t think they’d pay up for Wentz? Reich would take him in a heartbeat.

I don't think that is a lock.  They will see what we have seen over the course of 10+ games. This is almost an unparalleled drop-off in production with signs of processing problems. Most other QBs that have had a drop-off like Wentz are near retirement or RG3. Even RG3 isn't a great example because Wentz's 2017 was far better than what RG3 did.

Whatever you do dont trade Wentz to New England if Belichick turns him around and they run off more Super Bowls I would never forgive this franchise.  Any place else besides New England please.

Colts would be my guess. But you never know. I could see N.E. coming after him

Boomer Esiason does know Reich personally, and he's the one that came out and said it.  Blame Boomer.

Niners make sense if they are willing to move on from Jimmy G.

Belichick wouldn't put up with Wentz not fixing his mechanics. Wentz would have to take to coaching and give in on that gunslinging mentality/hero ball.

Well... if the Eagles sent Wentz to Dallas, and then they won a Super Bowl... that would be too much for me.   Or, for them to trade him away and win a Super Bowl anywhere, really...

The idea of Dallas winning another Super Bowl doesn't even come across my mind  LOL.    If he went to New England they building another 10 year dynasty around him I would crap bricks.

Or they are just stating their opinions.

Wentz wouldn't have to play hero ball there.

I bet he could easily win the AFC with the Colts.

And it's not like Reich didn't just take a QB he previously coached, who is 10 years older than Wentz.

But, part of that is his Favre infatuation. I think he likes to look for the deeper routes on the route tree, instead of taking what the defense gives him. I don't know that he wants to be a guy who checks it down when needed.

I do not care if you talk about wentz. I’ve crushed wentz about mechanics earlier this season. Every week but maybe 2 have had him in the ugly section. I’ve also crushed multiple aspects about this team. But my issue with you is as soon as someone brings up things doug is failing at. You immediate defend him like he does nothing wrong and then eventually just don’t want to have the Convo so you say "it’s both”. My biggest problem with you is you go out of your way defending doug and act like you don’t.

I touched on this briefly with IP yesterday.  The reason I do that in here is because the vast majority of posts on the subject in this blog put the vast majority of the blame on Howie and/or Doug.  I don't believe that to be the case.

And one of the MAIN reasons I wanted to see what another QB looked like (Could have been either Hurts or Sudfeld as far as I am concerned) was so that we could get a much clearer picture of where the fault lies.  It was never meant to "bash Wentz".  And I dare you to find a post in this blog where I used the words "Wentz sucks" or anything of the sort. I've always alluded to his mechanics being a mess, etc...but I'm not the "Wentz basher" people like to accuse me of being.

I honestly didn't see how Hurts playing well could possibly save Doug's tenure as head coach. But now that I think about it, it,  if he played REALLY well, and all of a sudden the offense looked like it was back on track. I can see where it might be  a possibility, as the blame for all the offense's ills will be dumped out with Carson Wentz. I don't expect this to be the case at all however. I want Hurts to succeed of course. I'm not going to expect him to save the season.

Twitter for dummies ( not saying that you are ), it was a poll, and Cox chose Wentz.

Oh when it comes to Twitter, I admit I'm very much a dummy.

I would bet he would do whatever it took to be successful. I would also bet Bellicheat could use him well and n.e. would be on top again for years to come.

Guess I'm late. Was just going to mention this

It's what Doug, Howie, and the FO get for creating this QB controversy... AGAIN

I don't see any team trading for him unless he gets back out there and shows some sign of progress and that means cutting down his 4.88 seconds per pass attempt down to around 3 and until he gets his completion percentage a little higher and eliminates turnovers. Right now I don't think he has any trade value with this contract and with his year long lack of production.

How much do you guys think Howie spent on window tinting this year?

QB controversy is not a problem if either one of them performs well.

There are no opinions in the blog, only facts stated as opinions.

Reich would take him, but under what conditions?   Any team would take a QB if the price is right.   Even one that is a reclamation project with a very uncertain future.

- Take Wentz but offer no return?

- Take Wentz in exchange for a pick?

- Eagles pay most of the money and maybe toss in a pick of their own?

Maybe Wentz can get the Josh McCown gig - collect a salary but you don't have to be there.

The Zoom QB?

Retweet under Jalen Hurts, like under Carson Wentz.  Fletcher Cox liked, not retweeted.

Can you post it or has it already been deleted?

They saw what they saw in Brissett and Rivers and paid even more, and they know neither is the long term answer.
