Someone mentioned it a few pages back, but Malcolm Jenkins will probably know and diagnose every single offensive play of the game.  I don't care if he can't move or cover anymore.  The Saints defense will be in the perfect position on every snap Sunday.

I would have laughed at this take a couple years ago (a player going to another team and giving them the playbook), but with the predictability of this offense?  This is real.

Half the people watching on tv can diagnose the plays in real time.

Another of our quality play calls that we make.  Pocket already broken down before a receiver turns around, and the Packers knew to flush him away from his 3 receivers.

Lol i literally broke this play down in the good the bad and the ugly yesterday. Really wentz should’ve gotten out of the pocket and threw it away. But all three WRs run routes past the line to gain. that take time to get down the field. The only one who got open was Hightower on a come back route that took too long and on the left boundary.

However if you watch the play from end zone angle peters initially is beat. Wentz sees it and moves even though peters was able to recover but by the time he did wentz already moved thinking the rush was coming as he was beaten at the snap. Since he went to the right the route near the left sideline where Hightower got open had no chance to get it out there. Hightower was open but wasn’t that open where if you fling it over there the corner king is going to have time to get over. It likely is incomplete or picked. The other 2 receivers are not open. Once wentz stays in the pocket can’t just throw it away otherwise it’s intentional grounding. It was a bad slow developing play with two slower receivers and Hightower. and wentz didn’t escape the pocket and just live to fight another down by doing so.

Yes he could’ve thrown the ball away, But that play call was atrocious and had no chance

All the receivers were on the same side of the field. I don't get it.

I agree with a lot of this.  He really didn't have anyone open that would have been an "advisable throw" imo. Not a good play call, imo.

That said, he had at least 3 seconds before there was pressure. (Time it yourself if you want) and at that point, he had a ton of daylight on his right side and no pressure on his right side...the one pass rusher was completely blocked.

2017 Wentz runs right for an easy 10 yard gain, maybe more.   Either that or throws it away.  Instead, he gets rattled and runs right into the collapsed pocket.

But that wasn't even a play I was frustrated with because it wasn't a "clear cut" play.  It would have taken Wentz "hero mode" to make something happen and I don't expect him to do that on every play.

(I bolded and underlined the parts that basically say I don't blame Wentz for that play.  This is my "Not blaming Wentz" Advisory)  :P:lol:

That was the other issue when he stayed in the pocket that when he went to the right in the pocket there was no one over there running their route so he couldn’t just throw it in the vicinity of a receiver. Goedert was the extra blocker. He could’ve thrown it at his feet but i feel once his eyes went down he didn’t even see goedert.

give credit to Scott though he helped mailata on that play. It looked like the DE got an excellent jump off the snap and Scott was there to make sure he wasn’t going to get to wentz from the left side.

A couple things on the play posted...

1- Terrible play design.  There are no routes on the other side of the field.  It is just all on the left nothing to move the defense from side to side so they can just sit in zone.  If all the routes are on oneside of the field why not roll Wentz out that way and completely take the other half of the field away.

2- 7 to block 4 how do they get home?  Have some pride that is almost a 2 v 1 at every point and 3 people hit him.

3- Terrible job by Wentz.  He cost the team points there no matter what the situation is he has to get rid of the ball.

4- Terrible job by WRs no urgency in their routes.

Overall this single play sums up our entire season on offense and highlights all our problems in one play.

I had no idea he was back in the league. I thought he retired because no one wanted to sign him

The end zone view of the start of the play shows a lot. Peters is beat. Like badly beat at the snap. He was able to recover and hit the DT into a kelce block. But I’m assuming wentz cause he’s skittish right now saw peters initially beat and thought he had to move off his spot but wanted to still give the play time to develop and work. So if wentz stays where he is then he likely can hit Hightower for the first down. However wentz and peters wound at the start of the play besides no WRs to the right and slow play development it didn’t work.

If you take some mushrooms or LSD you don’t really know who you are cheering for. It’s always an option. Just saying.

Robbie Anderson stings...instead we got an overpaid underperforming DT.

thanks Howie.

Just think, if we had signed him and still drafted a WR itd probably have been Jefferson.

I dont have an issue with Reagor. But Robbie Anderson and Jefferson is a better outcome than just Reagor.

Yup. Anderson immediately solved the Z position too.

Why draft Jefferson when you have Ward and Arcega-Whiteside?

Might go with wacky tobacci Wednesday

I can't believe how much Lamar Jackson has regressed as a passer.  Have defenses just "figured him out," or is there more to it than that?

Why do I feel so dirty for rooting for the Cowboys?
