Oh. Why’s that a big deal now?

I thnk the Dillard hate basically stems from two things, one the belief that all 1st rd picks should be instant stars, two his putrid performance at RT, a position he hardly practiced at and almost never played in college - and it takes time for OL to adjust from one side to the other (all movements are mirror image). Next year is the litmus test, with time to bulk up, adjust to NFL speed and perfect his technique, he should be an above average starting OT in his 3rd season. Of course, if Lane is healthy he may have to learn how to play LG.

Mailata got benched b/c he struggled for a couple games after a good start, Peters outplayed him for two games then fell apart, which lends credence to the turf toe excuse. Since Mailata returned to the lineup he raised his game a notch, which shows that for young players, at times it helps to sit on the bench and watch and absorb before returning to action.

The only person Peters has outplayed this year was Brown...

Only in some games... in others not so much.

It wasn’t. It was more on why this offseason when the story came out he broke down in practice that it was believable cause it happened before in college and high school.

Dick Vermeil broke down in tears all the time, and we love him.  🤷‍♂️

Maddox is useless? Do you remember Bradley Fletcher? Were you ever here for the days of Cary Williams, Byron Maxwell or Nolan Carroll?  It seems to me that Maddox isn't as bad as any of those players.  He's undersized but athletic.  I think the scheme makes it difficult for him but he's not useless.

The scheme sucks for everyone

You guys are missing the point.

It's much more nuanced than what a lot of folks believe.  The examples I gave of Shawn Andrews wasn't in relation to "whether or not" he had some psychological issues, it was with the way the media reacted to it.  (And from what I remember, it was a very similar situation to how the media is reacting now with DIllard.)

Shawn Andrews would miss time here and there and there were rumors that he was, "soft" or that he was "mentally weak" etc etc.  Well, in his case, as talented as he was, that was some of the things he cited as a reason for retiring at such a young age, while still in his prime.  When some are in that state of mind, (some) may take things the media says to heart...whether it's true or not.

Brandon Brooks has been very open about his condition and has been accepted with open arms by just about everyone in Philly and/or the media.  That's a great story and should be the way we treat all players that may (or may not) have a condition.  (At the very least, wait until all the facts come out, etc before just "assuming" a player is "weak minded" because it could be something else...especially when there seems to be some sort of history of it).

That's my 2 cents.

Think Shawn Andrews is still working on his beats?

Missing the point.  You are giving them credence because they said it.  Like they've been right all the time.  Remember when JJAW was tearing it up in camp and in the PS before the 2019 season... yeah, that was fun.

Clearly the Eagles weren't ready to go to Mailata.  But, when these fools in the media say things that they saw at practice, I generally take it with a GRAIN OF SALT.  I've heard a lot about guys who are playing great in practice and then can't do anything in a game - remember Deontay Burnett?  Or was it also Paul Turner, that they were hyping?  Practice all-star!  In a game though, Mr. Invisible.   So, you'll forgive me for not buying everything they say as if it were gospel truth.

But what about his whirlwind tour during his year in exile?

Yet we trust guys from the blog who haven’t even seen them practice 🙄

Any gamers out there, Cyberpunk is legit! I didn't didn't buy into all the hype at first, but this game is awesome! Thankfully my old 980ti is just chugging right along.

Waiting to get next gen system. Still want to get 2K and Cyberpunk.

I’m sure this has been mentioned. If Doug isn’t here next year would anybody be interested in Josh McDaniels?

Here is a way to look at it that hopefully makes sense to people.

This is going back to 2013.

so many are not howie's drafts.

What do you think the W in JJAW stands for ??  Hard to take folks seriously with a statement like this.  I also had no players from the 2020 draft class on my list, so why would you assume Hightower ??

silly. thats the only one that matters in context here.

Remember when Howie got rid of all those Chip players on bad contracts and then we won the super bowl? I miss that Howie

And I dont t hink he forgot how to do that. I think Lurie just has to demand that he shifts back in to that rebuild mode.  And that might be what happens. Get a coaching staff that can coach talent rather than waste it and the problems might be solved.

Imagine the greatest, best, most awesome thing that has ever happened to you.

Now imagine the opposite of that.

That would be us if we hired McDaniels.
