I’m sure this has been mentioned. If Doug isn’t here next year would anybody be interested in Josh McDaniels?

Why, so he can back out at the last moment and leave another franchise stuck with the assistant coaches he hires before scurrying back home?

I don’t think he’s on anyone’s short list

Truthfully I didnt want him when he was drafted. I’ll admit he did have me believing for for a little while but then I saw the problems I had with him coming out of college creep up and now I’m hoping for a complete change. Howie, Doug and Carson can go....

I admit I thought Goff was the better QB.  Once 2016 and 2017 played out I thought maybe Wentz can be a top 5 QB.  I just really dont know what happened to him.

I dont think its worth it right now to hire a new GM who will be cap strapped for the next 2 years.

But is it worth it to keep the guy who got you into this situation and allow him to make moves to try to get you out of this situation which means further restructuring current players?

I’m not missing any point. I’m being very literal that this happened with Dillard and he openly spoke about it. That’s it. I didn’t say it means anything significant one way or the other.

The thing I mentioned about it was my concern was why did he fall from a top 10 pick to where the Eagles could go up a couple pick and get him. To me I think it’s because teams knew about this prior to the draft and they got concerned and that’s why he fell along with him being 24 when the season started his rookie year.

Now he had an incident last year according to multiple media members where it was a similar type of situation reported. That doesn’t mean he can’t be good or to be at bust. Nevertheless I wasn’t gushing over him as much as others when we drafted him. I thought his ceiling was tra Thomas. Which is a good tackle just not imo great like lane and peters at the top of their game. Also I said I could understand if the Eagles were OK drafting another offensive lineman in the draft who could play tackle and guard if they were skeptical after his first year.

Who do you want at QB in 2021 and moving forward?

It’s early. Tough to answer at this point. I’d like to see Hurts and other college QBs plus who knows who could be available as FA.

dont mind seeing a 2nd howie draft.

We could draft another QB in the second round and a developmental LB in round 3!

Doug is playing Hurts to save his job.  Or at the very least, look good to whatever team he goes to next year.

But if Hurts looks good and Doug does his job, then everyone is going to question why he couldn't do that with Wentz.

If that's the case then maybe Wentz is the problem.  I seriously doubt it but who knows.

Yeah I liked Goff as well. Goff isn’t a great QB but he’s a good starter

I thought they were both pretty close. I thought Goff would have an easier transition only because he played at a bigger school than Carson. I thought the physical tools Carson had more. But I didn’t know how he would translate from North Dakota State to the NFL whereas I thought goff would have an easier time. However goff had Jeff Fisher and look like crap his first year.

that said I’m 100% convinced if you asked Sean McVay if he wanted to go and get another quarterback he would tell you yes. Because I think Jared Goff is a slightly above average quarterback that Sean McVay tailored everything to him to make him look better than what he is. But I think of Sean McVay had a better quarterback he could open his offense up even more and the rams with their defense likely be the favorites in the NFC. To me Jared Goff keeps that team from being the best team in the NFC.

hmmm. Jmatt over Devonta Adams, Jjaw over metcalf. mccluarin

Reagor over jefferson

Hurts over, like almost anyone to help the team/wentz

im not so sure he has earned another draft

I thought it was the other way around? Wasn’t the FO (Howie) pushing for Hurts and Doug wanting to stick with Wentz? I could be wrong...

Payton will run up the score like an ass

He’s also not exactly a complete LT coming into the draft out of that offense.

This question hasn’t been answered. Nova and I had this discussion last week. I think the ultimate person that came down with the decision was Jeffrey Lurie.  I don’t think anybody can make a decision in this organization right now without him furthermore he’s the only one that’s a lock to be back next year so I feel as though of any decision is going on it’s coming from him.

That was the other thing. He was unknown as a run blocker because Washington state hardly ran the ball. So wasn’t that he couldn’t be good. It was that you didn’t have enough info because they didn’t run the ball nearly enough for you to know how good or bad he was at it. You assumed that you could get him better at it by getting him with Stoutland

God help us all....Lurie is in love with Howie and he is going to be back next year. My guess at least.

Patriots somehow have a worse draft history with WR than the Eagles.

Howie sticks around next year and that's the final straw. I will no longer support this team by finding free streams online to watch games.

 🤣

BTW... watching the Patriots... this is not a well coached team.   They are just terrible.   How did they get 6 wins?

I’m going to stick it to them by only wearing merchandise purchased in the Jetro parking lot.

Well he's accurate at least.  It's something Wentz isnt very good at right now and you kinda need it to play QB.

I watch Cam Newton and I dont know what people see in him.  I hear several analysts always defend him but his play as a QB sucks.  Yes he's a good runner but throwing he's awful.

Nah, they just have 0 talent on offense and a bunch of opt-outs on defense.

Bill Belichick is really good against rookie quarterbacks. Herbert last week was completely lost out there. Also got the Jets being the Jets. Then kingsbury isn’t a very good coach and the cardinals notoriously don’t travel well to the east coast. Gotta also remember beat the dolphins week one and Fitzpatrick was awful in that game. Also that Baltimore win they played in like a hurricane in foxboro

They’re well coached. Doug would have 0 wins with that squad.

That’s kind of been my feeling the whole time. I do think they’ll get to a point if this continues where he would fire howie. He eventually got to that point with Joe banner so I don’t think it’s out of the realm he gets there.
