Add him to the list of what needs to get put on the curb Monday for trash pickup.

You mean he wasn't already on your list?

You would think so... but he doesn't seem to think so.

This may not be reflective of YOUR views, but, you (others in general) Cant tell me that part of the Hate Wentz draws is because he is openly Christian.

Which just amazes me.

I don't think people really care, except for a few outlier fans, religion and politics in athletes don't matter much.

Of course, if you're the kind of Christian that shoves it down your teammates throats, you'll soon be hated (or why I call for open season on Jehovah Witnesses, it should be a capital offense to come to my door during a game and try to proselytize me). Not because you're Christian, but because you're obnoxious.

Most people don't care what you believe as long as you keep it to yourself, don't act sanctimonious and don't proselytize, especially when told someone isn't interested.

You may think it's the Truth, some of us think it's your truth, but to us just another form of mythology, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Muslim, Shinto et al are all equivalent in my eyes.

Good manners means respecting that other people think differently, especially when it comes to religion, that's why there was an Enlightenment.

I can't believe this organization thinks THIS highly of Press Taylor. What are we doing here?

Can we trade Press Taylor to the Bengals for their first round pick?  Or Tee Higgins?

No one close to him respects him enough to tell him it's over? How can he look at his game tape and think he can play another year??

This is what I say about the first episode of American Idol... how did so many really terrible singers get through their friends and family to humiliate themselves?   Sometimes saying what needs to be said is more loving than not saying it, even if saying it will hurt... because the hurt in not saying ultimately will hurt that person a lot worse later.

I'm telling you. For 2 million (a bargain for a pro football team) and health and dental for life I'll tell him he aint coming back

I'd do it for $1.9M.  :P

He will be the first to go. Usually, they start low with firings. He's the QB coach over Carson and Carson has regressed to being far worse than his rookie year. It's a foregone conclusion that Taylor will be out.

I want to believe that, but he's reportedly highly regarded in the building, for whatever reason. Probably cause he's Carsons buddy.

So his poor play this year was God’s plan?  That’s what his quote sounded like.

   Just stop.

They will have a hard time explaining that one to the media. If Lurie can't have Taylor fired, then there's no way he will fire Howie.  I doubt he will fire Howie. But, he would be able to fire Taylor.

Carson might have to be converted from WR to CB for this week with all these CB injuries.

If Taylor really buys this, then he shouldn’t be a QB coach.  It is pretty obvious that Wentz’s mechanics have digressed and I would argue two areas where he needed to  improve, fumbling and floaters, there has been no progress.  This enables Wentz to excuse himself.  It certainly doesn’t sound like Taylor is helping him fix his issues.  Couple that with his role as Pass Game Coordinator and he is an utter failure.

They won't publicly throw Wentz under the bus, but they should be a little more transparent. They could say that this move gives them time to review film and work on refining things in Carson's game.  They don't have to admit he is broken. But, he really is almost broken. He's going to need a lot of work mentally and on mechanics.

He doesn’t want to take the blame for the horrible job he’s been doing.

We barely run as is but we need 7 RBs between the active roster and practice squad

It's clear... the Eagles are just trolling all of us now.

Well what else do RBs do on this team? They certainly don't run

I believe that God definitely could use Carson's poor play to humble him or for whatever reason Carson needed that in his life but that wasn't the issue. The issue was you using the word "mythical" . Maybe you believe that God is mythical and maybe you believe his plan for Carson's life is but neither he nor I or possibly even others on this board do.

So the point is you don't want me or others bringing "religion" into the blog then don't bring your unbelief into it either. Fair enough?

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together[a] for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

I didn’t mean that God was mythical.  I was myopically reacting to what seemed like an excuse to me.

My wife has a cousin who is a ne’erdowell.  Every time his family has a negative thing happen, he claims it is God’s plan rather than owning up for his own failures and striving to do better.  Fired for all sorts of justified reasons, it is God’s plan.   That’s blaming God and not taking responsibility. I would say mythical.   I have to wonder if Carson isn’t taking responsibility for his failure to address his issues.  He sure hasn’t fixed them.  My grandfather, a devout Lutheran, would say that God isn’t going to remove that rusty nut (after Dad or one of his brothers asked for divine intervention) so we are going to have to figure out how to do it. My meaning was more along the way my Grandpa meant.

No offense meant to you or others.

Cox has been on the injury report a lot recently with his neck. I'm guessing he's an auto-IR once we're officially eliminated. Could happen soon if it gets worse.

I don't think that dude could even block Jake Elliot if he tried

Well, the ones we have seem to tire easily.
