My guess is that Jefferson will win rookie of the year and Jeremy Chinn will win defensive rookie of the year and that would just be the most Eagles ending ever to this god awful 2020 season.

It should punch Howie's ticket out of town.

Could have had both

Nah. This is when you get into a butterfly effect conundrum. Either he’s great on this team and you don’t need to double dip at round 1 WR or he absolutely sucks and you do. I don’t see any scenario you get current Jefferson and Chase on the same team.

Not saying it’s deserved, but Herbert is still the odds favorite. It’s going to take a lot to unseat a QB.

If he did here, what he's doing there, the Eagles win the division, so they aren't picking in the top 5.

3 win team... that won't help him.

Is it even bad at all? Is there an example?

There are but i really hate talking about Christianity in here cause there’s always some bozo who says something dumb and it upsets me so I’m going to stop with the religion talk.

I don’t think it will take that much. Jefferson is the media darling right now, has veteran corners singing high praises for him and he has a chance to finish with over 1300 yards. Last rookie to do that was Odell and he won it that year.

Joe Burrow would have been a sure bet if he didn’t get injured. I’m going with Herbert cause like you said he’s a QB.

Only 8 of the last 22 ROY have been qb so it’s not as much of a lock as you guys think.

On the other hand 18 of the last 22 MVP have been QB. That one is pretty much locked in at QB.

all I know is that Howie is praying right now Herbert wins ROY.

Good point.

Somewhat. Didn’t matter last year for 5 win Murray. He’s also likely to break some rookie records

He didn’t start week 1 and Herberts 4 TDs away from rookie TD’s record with 4 games to go. He’s also on pace to come up 10 yards short of the rookie passing yards record. It’s really going to come down to how each finish these last 4 games.

Get over yourself and open up to critiques on young players.

lol...I am mostly entertained by your lack of basic knowledge ....it just gets old....tell us again about Percy Harvin.....lol

I would be pretty excited if Reagor gets to Percy Harvin's level. *ducks*

Please expand upon the basic knowledge which I lack.

Percy Harvin was a multidimensional speedster, short, strong, raw...tell me again why that’s a bad comp.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how they both finish. We know who howies pulling for. I can’t imagine how he could stomach another embarrassment like watching the kid he passed on win ROY.

Literally have never been more furious with the Eagles. If Howie survives this debacle. I might not forgive Lurie.

He blew it in the Pumphrey draft. Blew it JJAW. Blew it in the Hollins draft. How many times can this guy single handily tank the franchise?

I'm with you, fingers start pointing to Jeffie if he does not take action this off-season. I'm not wasting my energy on this team if Jeffie allows Howie to blow another draft and off-season in general setting this team even further back than what it already is. If he doesn't care why should the fans.

Yea I don’t think that guy realizes Harvin put up nearly 1,000 yards of offense and 6 TDs as a rookie.

His career started promisingly, but he played for a pass friendly Vikings team, never hit 1000 yards, faded fast and was a JAG by the time he hit 26....

Pumphrey and Hollins were on the same day — about half hour or so apart

He had a debilitating migraine issue

I see where you're coming from.  And most folks typically will follow it up with something along the lines of, ""God willing, I will get this corrected, work harder, etc". So when they do that, they are also taking accountability...the only difference is that they are "partnered with God" in their challenge.  (At least that's how I use it).

And that's exactly what Carson did when he followed it up with, "’ll keep pushing through this like I always do— trusting HIM and giving it everything I got!

I hope you are right. I worry that he is enabled by comments such as Taylor made.  That said, it does sound like we all agree he needs to put his shoulder into it and push.  I just haven’t seen it for five years with the fumbles and the floaters and the deterioration of his mechanics makes me look at his willingness to put in the work with a a jaundiced eye.

To me, it seems like he has a focus issue when it comes to extra points. It almost looks like he doesn't concentrate on XPs as much as FGs. He kicks the ball straighter on longer FGs.  I think this is a mental thing and Fipp should've been able to address it by now.  Maybe Fipp needs to talk to Jake before every XP briefly. Try different strategies.

Can’t deny it, that bugs me.   I see players with fixable issues that don’t.   Doug may be a players coach but Judge’s nonsense has seemed more effective.  I know I am a bit old school but when I was in high school, if you made a stupid penalty (and I am not sure coach believed there was any other kind) on Monday, you duckwalked the field (not the whole 100 yards but far enough). Huge miss on an assignment could have you joining the duck walking.

In other news... its turkey smoking day again... and I decided to also smoke some chuck roast (chunked into about 1" cubes) as a faux burnt ends appetizer...

And let me just tell you...

Not brisket burnt ends... but cooked way faster... close, very close.

I am in the process of making machaca with my chuck roast. Halfway there. Tomorrow I rehydrate and spice up including some roasted poblanos then some soft tacos with guacamole and some homemade salsa.

Do you wet brine the turkey?

I do. 24 hours, preferably.  Didnt have time for that with this one.  This turkey was gifted due to a broken freezer.
