I believe it was a couple of years ago, but someone in the local Philly media basically said, you'd be surprised at how near to the Jerry Jones level of meddling that Jeff Lurie has been doing across the Eagles staff and roster after Chip Kelly, but he is far more subtle about it than Jerry Jones is.

And on a different note, this

Sadly, there was an apparent forward pass just before this clip starts... literally right before the guy who has the ball received the ball at the 34, ball was released at about the 32.5 yard lline.

Has everyone seen Baldys breakdown of Hurts? He makes it pretty apparent that receiver is the weakest position. Calls them out for being poor route runners.

Also, Doug has Greg freaking Ward chipping the defensive end in one of the clips. LOL

Sounds like a QB change should fix everything.

There is a lot wrong in it, but what a spectacle to watch!

This Army-Navy game reminds me of the Eagles' offense.

I think there's been more chunk plays in this game.

Everyone should be taking a look at Devonta Smith as WR1 in the draft. He just needs to gain a little weight. He could be better than Chase. Already a better route runner.

Hurts played with him I believe in Bama.

I don't think we can go wrong with Smith/Chase/Waddle.

Navy just gave the game away.   Army misses a pitch and they don't recover, but try to scoop and score.   Navy misses a pitch and Army just pounced on it.

Yeah they seem to be this years Lamb/Jeudy/Jefferson

lets just hope Lurie forces Howie to take a SEC receiver finally and I don’t mean freakin Vanderbilt (matthews)

I just saw this question posted on Twitter. A new team is coming in to the league and you have to pick 10 players to protect. Who are they?

There's like maybe 5 players I would feel strongly about protecting.

It would be easier picking 10 I dont want to protect.

well  you start with Alshon, Peters, Nate Gerry, Rudy Ford, Corey Clement, and Greg Ward.  Then you cant let your precious DTs go, so Cox, Reagor, and Jackson. And that leaves 1 spot left for the QB- Wentz.

He has a legitimate case for the Heisman trophy.

Wentz, reagor, mailata, seumalo, goeddert. That's it. Almost everyone else is old, sucks, or overpaid and in some cases all three.

Only one who isn't one of those 3 things is sanders, but he's a RB and injured all the time with soft tissue injuries. He shouldn't be getting another contract here unless it's on the cheap.

We would likely be losing 2 players in an expansion draft scenario, and you never know who a team will take. The flyers "lost" pierre eduard bellemarre in the Vegas draft, it was a Fing godsend.

Out of our few really good players, most of them are old (kelce, Graham, lane, cox) and some have serious injury concerns (lane, brooks). We would probably lose sanders and slay in my scenario.

Funny thing is... I'm starting to wonder how true that is.  I think he might meddle more than we know.    What caused Doug's quick 180 on firing Groh and Walch less than 24 hours after they were both coming back?  What is the reason behind Peters not only being back on the team, but being able to dictate where, when and for how much money he will play?   I think a GM says, you will play where I tell you to play... but I think Jeff is friends with Peters, and he gets what he wants because of it.   Jeff didn't meddle in the BDawk negotiation, which led to him leaving, and I think that has haunted Lurie, so now I think he's a little more involved.

Yup, Lurie is a lot more involved than we are lead to believe.  He's more Jerry Jones than Lurie of 10 years ago now.  I don't like it.

Speaking of plays we can only dream of Eagles players making

Serious question.  It can be second nature to smack a teammate on the butt saying good job.  What if someone did that to her without thinking about it?  Would people be up in arms?

It's always cloudy at night for me when these things happen

1. Sanders

2. Reagor

3. Barnett

4. Slay

5. Goedert

6. Mailata

7. Hargrave

8. Johnson

9. Brooks

10. Hurts

And we pray they take the big contracts from us including Wentz. We have to blow this team up and rebuild because of money. Why keep Wentz? He is struggling. Also the value we get from his can help the rebuild. We have Hurts on a cheap rookie deal. We are gonna be bad anyway so let him run the ship for a few years.

Do you think we'll get to the Browns and Jets level of bad? Or do you think we already are?
