So the firing will happen at the end of the season? That's fine I guess

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I just have this gut feeling Doug survives this year. I very well could be wrong though.

I haven't tried scrapple in years.   I never really looked for it down here in Florida so I assumed it would be difficult to find anyway.

That said, it's not something I'd eat everyday but once or so a week with some eggs, I'm in!

I'm pretty sure scrapple is a regional thing. Something similar that I'm willing to bet that no one here has had is kanip (not even sure how to spell it) It's sorta like scrapple, trimmings from around the jowl and bones but mixed with steel cut oats and not pressed into a block. Eaten for breakfast like scrapple but I always ate it as a kid with karo syrup. just thawed if frozen and heated not fried. Kanip and scrapple are similar in that they're made from whatever scraps are left. People then didn't waste anything.

Howie is a higher priority IMO

We have it here on the Eastern Shore of MD (not the other side though). I think this is as far south as it goes though. Never saw it when I lived in Virginia.

I visited a friend in DC last year and a waitress suggested scrapple at a popular breakfast spot. I made it through two bites and had to stop. Disgusting.

So what the hell are we doing? If he's not going anywhere, with that contract he's gonna play next year. I guess if Hurts miraculously looks competent we can trade him for draft picks.

If Wentz is able to turn it around, it’s going to take a full offseason/TC. They let him try to fix in season and tried to create some building blocks for him and it’s not working. The season is wasted. Time to rebuild the roster and Wentz.

If we fire Doug we need to beat the Falcons to Joe Brady, that would be the best possible move to help fix Wentz if we are keeping him, which I think is the probably the plan. Unless Jalen just balls out.

How was it prepared? I'm not from the area but SWMBO is from Philly and she slices it thin then fries it.

So the best outcome is Hurts can somehow look competent and we get our wasted second rounder back in the offseason. And maybe someone else is making the draft picks next year.

I'm surprised scrapple made it that far though maybe for the same reason it exists in Lancaster County which AFAIK is the origin. People used every scrap on a carcass.

I have absolutely no idea.

From our perspective, yes. Knowing Eagles, Hurts will look great, Howie will get credit and a promotion, we’ll turn down trade offers for either, and we have endless QB controversy 2021.

We are already completely locked into a QB controversy for 2021.

We either get a year of Hurts looking like Dwayne Haskins in year 2 or Wentz looking like Wentz....while everyone calls for the other one.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of.

Quarterback factory after all. If Hurts looks good with this O line I'd think there'd be trade interest. If this QB draft class is viewed as Lawrence, maybe Fields and a bunch of JAGs Hurts could have good value. I guess it depends on how confident the Eagles brain trust is in Wentz recovering from this season.

Unless Hurts looks serviceable and we fleece a team in the offseason with him for some picks.

I like it. I was first introduced to it in MD. You can get in NC as well

Yeah it's really popular on the Eastern Shore. It's cut into thin pieces and fried. My wife puts syrup on it lol

Its big in Philly and South Jersey. Im not a fan. But the only way to make it is sliced thin and fried as you mentioned. has to have a crushed outside, soft in middle. But again, Im not a fan of it even though I live in South Jersey. Give me Bacon, Ham, Canadian Bacon, Pork Roll or Sausage. If not, I's rather have nothing if Scrapple is the only option.
