The Jets would want draft capital from the Eagles, no the other way around, in a Wentz trade.

National sports network in Canada is just roasting Pederson for starting Hurts in his first game against the NFL’s top defense.  They’re saying if the backup was a top 5 pick there’s no way a GM would even allow such a bad decision

From an X's and O's standpoint, that's probably not the most outlandish thing to say. He doesn't really excel on either side of the ball even though he is a defensive-minded coach. But from a leadership, player development, and overall control stand-point, he's a great coach.

Tomlin best compares to Bill Cowher, his predecessor, and....Doug Pederson.

Their players respect them and they keep an even keel.  But the OC's and DC's are mostly responsible for the scheme, game planning, playcalling, etc.  He's not a Belicheck/AR/Mcvay type that controls it all.

That's what Doug needs to be if he is to be successful as a HC.

The Steelers have had some combustible, but very creative coordinators under Tomlin who called some of these shots.

I really think the Alshon thing is someone trying to save their job. It makes zero sense.

Well, I'm on record here, saying that as of right now, I think that the best player in this draft is Wyatt Davis.  But, he's not 'value' at #3-#7 either.  A trade back to #10 though, he's a great value.   And getting a top 40 pick in addition to that, I'd love to see that happen.  This season really fell apart due to the OL falling apart, so for me... rebuilding that is the top priority.  And a trade back like that makes spending a pick on Najee Harris a great 'luxury' pick in Round 2... and just become a ground and pound Titans-style offense for next year.
