How we win this game against the #1 defense and people are STILL negative. You can’t be happy for a good win? We beat a playoff team and it could affect their seeding so they needed this game.

Bc we think long term

they definitely will

By retaining every dollar of his salary?  He’s been garbage for two years. He got benched. And now the rookie 2d rounder that we put in for him has the team looking competent. That is the kind of move that would kill a gm. MAYBE if he renegotiated, which I can’t see him doing. No chance.

Next week vs Cards will be very interesting. They have a QB that plays exactly like Hurts so they have a slight advantage in defensive game planning. It will be a fun game to watch for sure.

...the Saints had Hill who was Hurt’s comp until today. Not sure what this means

F draft position loser. That’s a loser mentality you play to win the game dammit.

Ask the giants about winning a meaningless game last year & who they lost out on because of it....

Doug's dewshy disposition didn't change with the win.  He still came off as a total d-wad at the post-game presser.

I dont thinkhe enjoys the job anymore

its easy to lead when you are winning. Pressure reveals character

Good teams consistently draft late and stay strong miss me with this stupid argument.

There isn’t much to be excited about long term though. It’ll likely be 2-3 years until this team can rebuild into contention.

Funny and true.  But I do like him over Alshon, but gotta catch the ball.  The back shoulder drop last week is why he is riding pine as I think it was the 3rd game in a row with a drop.

I didn't see last weeks game because I chose to golf over watching. I also didn't watch the 2nd giants game. Since week 3 I can count on one hand the drops he's had

You think the Eagles are a good team?

Doug Pederson wins a SB with Nick Foles. The offense looked significantly better today with a rookie 2nd round pick Hurts than it had with Wentz all season. It's almost like Wentz could be the problem.

Wentz has been bad this season but Doug won  a SB with Reich and DeFilipio.  Foles bailed out Doug at the end of the season in 2018, Carson bailed Doug and Howie out at the end of last season.  The team has gotten worse since the Super Bowl and the 2 people who have been healthy for the entire seasons are Doug and Howie.  Its not an indictment against Wentz to say he needs better coaching and play calling to play well, its an indictment against Doug that he can't do it.

It's like a cult in here against Wentz. Kind of creepy the hate in here. What did he do to you? Though I guess I won't see the replies unless someone quotes them because the ignore feature is broken 🤷‍♂️

He has been dropping the ball.

F no

Yeah, the Eagles are headed for some dark dark days. I could easily see the next 5 years being reminiscent of the late 90s. I think it’s going to be bad for a while. The one Hope was we could get a stud to build around in the draft and that just took a hit today. Or at least be bad enough to convince Lurie to clean house.

This really sucks. There’s nothing to be excited about with the future of this team. It’s so damn grim. Thankfully we won a super bowl when we did.

Fulgham over Jeffery all day

For the reason they looked about the same. Hill has won some games too running. And you cant win a title that way

What? Hill didn’t look good until our secondary got injured. And even then Hurts played better than him.

OK, sure.

Can’t win a title with Wentz leading the league in turnovers and getting sacked every third play either which he did for 12 games.

Like I said a moment ago, I agree.  Doesn't change the fact Fulgham has been dropping easy balls recently

Hurts will be a career bridge/top notch backup QB. Tyrod Taylor, Bridgewater, Keenum...

I can’t picture a realistic scenario where Wentz is not the starter going into 2021. The plan heading into the draft should be position yourself for a move up in the 2022 draft. The Lions, Panthers, Falcons, Saints, and Patriots are all teams that will be looking to move up for a Trey Lance or Mac Jones.

Obviously it’s not that easy but drafting a stud WR in the top 10 doesn’t do anything in the long run with no QB and aging/often injured lineman.

Honestly if we had a quality GM people trusted y’all wouldn’t care about draft position because the good teams tend to always draft late. Doesn’t mess them up too bad

Dougs stubborn loyalty to old vets is hardly a secret and its held them team back again

We can still easily get a stud, we are probably not beating the Cardinals. Murray is a beast. As long as Howie isn’t drafting and we have a top 10 pick a stud is still possible especially at WR

I’m not anti-Wentz, I want to see him succeed and I hope he bounces back, but I don’t understand how you can still be so loyal after his performance this year. I get that it’s an entire team issue, but Wentz is a talented enough vet who should be able to keep this boat afloat. He’s been awful this year, no sugarcoating it. Now the 2nd round backup rookie comes in & beats the best defense in the league after he gets benched. Not a good look on Wentz at all.

So pointing out the obvious which is that he isn't very good is creepy and cult like......go it.
