Giants have the Browns, Ravens, and Cowboys.

Washington has the Seahawks, Panthers, and Eagles.

Eagles have the Cardinals, Cowboys, and Washington.

If the Eagles beat a very beatable Cardinals team, they're about to piss a lot of people off.

The Bills have decades of inertia as a backwards, cold weather, run-first offense of sludge.  Add to that a QB from a small school with horrible accuracy, bad mechanics, but a big arm...paired with (at the time) zero standout targets.  Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Their calculated transition to a precision vertical passing offense is beautiful.  The guy who oversaw that did an incredible job.

Diggs was big for them. And Gabriel Davis is going to be a really nice player. But last year for all the plays Allen made with his legs, and occasionally with his big arm, he killed his team with his head. Horrible decision maker is an understatement. He did things that were literally comic at times.

Maybe he will choke in playoffs again this year. We will see.

If the Eagles somehow make the playoffs, they would obviously have to start Hurts.  If they make the playoffs and start Hurts, Wentz is done here.  They've have to find a way to get him off the roster.

I don’t think the D can hold Murray and Hopkins back they are explosive

Whoever fixed Tannehill is a guy we should have on our staff if we are moving forward with Wentz.

Tannehill has always been a pretty decent QB, even with Miami. I don't think it was Tennessee necessarily fixing him as much as it was him having the best RB in the league and running a very QB-friendly offense because of that. AJ Brown is going to turn into a top tier WR as well.

I love watching this Bills offense.

I dont think that is really true.

And last year when they broke out it was on the back of Henry. Tannehill was a game manager. The contract they gave him was laughable after Henry clearly carried them all the way was far as they got. Yet this year, hes made that contract a non-issue. Theres no doubt hes taken an incredible leap in his career from his Miami days.

What's with the names? I'm seeing it all over here and the facebook groups I'm in

Why do people feel the need to name call anyone who says anything remotely positive about Wentz?

Because Wentz followers do the same thing. Anything against Wentz and they act like ya slapped their momma

* Man, we have some bad tackle attempts every game. Gross.

Just thought I'd broaden the insight of your original post.

This is a scary, yet realistic post and valid points. As a fan, you want to be optimistic and see some sort of light at the end of the tunnel or at least have the hope that things can get better. 2015 was a rough year, but there was optimism because of a new coach with Doug and them moving up to take Wentz at 2. It was the same thing after 2012 in Reid's last year. Chip got people excited at the time because he was new.

They're in a real dark spot right now and the win today doesn't change that. It could actually potentially harm them more in the long-run. They'll probably win another game or two to ruin their top 10 draft slot and my BIGGEST fear that I keep bringing up is them giving us the lip service and excuse that this was an unprecedented year with COVID, the team wasn't able to properly prepare in the offseason because of it, it stunted the growth of the rookies, it led to more injuries, etc and keeping the exact same system in place while giving those excuses when anyone who has watched this team the past two seasons knows that there is a systemic problem with this organization.

Philly sports blows right now. The Phillies owner is gonna let his two best free agents walk and not spend any money.

The Eagles are a mess.

The Flyers give the fans some hope, I suppose.

The Sixers finally correct their mistakes in a big way, but even with Morey it'll take him some time to get them into contention with all the damage done.

But at least in the short term, there isn't a single team that will win a title in the next year or two except maybe the Flyers.

Unless the Sixers go out and get James Harden, then they have a chance, but they still wouldn't be favored over some of the NBA's top teams.

I really think Philly sports has a very small window here to course correct and if we don't, we are headed for a really ugly period of Philly sports that will rival 2012-2016.

What names do any "Wentz followers" call anyone who say anything negative about Wentz? I'm not saying it hasn't happened. I just haven't seen it

He's having the best year of his career right now, but he's never been a bad QB needing a total revamp to his game. The pieces were always there for him and he had some good seasons in Miami, specifically 2014 and 2015. Arthur Smith, TEN's OC, will probably get a head coaching job somewhere this offseason.

to be fair, i have thought in my head that some people are just completely clueless, but i never resort to name calling

but even today on here some taters were calling others wentz slurpers...

mainly because they lack sufficient debate skills

Btw why did we cut Poyer after a year. Whenever I see a Bills game he's always a very active player making tackles etc.  Too bad we could not develop him but not surprising as we dont develop any Dbs. So in actuality Chips first draft was pretty good. Lane, Ertz and Poyer.  Bennie Logan was decent too.

Didn’t say names they get very defensive and upset.

What’s to debate? There is no debate right now.

Lane Johnson was one of the best draft picks in Eagles history.

Draft picks also need to be measured against the needs we had at the time and the other players who were available (that's what makes picks like Freddie Mitchell, JJAW, and others seem so bad).  And that's what makes Lane so good.  First off, we were so lucky that Dion Jordan was "stolen" from us.

The top half of that first round was horrible...and most people even knew it at the time, weak draft at the top.  The fact that they got a 7-8 year multi-probowl starter at RT was outstanding.

My big questions are

Is this the offense Doug wants to run?

Are we going full Baltimore type offense?

Will Doug stay committed to the run even when it’s not working like the Ravens do?

Will Hurts be able to run 12-15 times a game and make it through a season?

Is Hurts going to have a fumbling problem which will be very bad if he is counted on to run the ball 10+ times a game?

From what I saw from Hurts he can be a solid QB if not asked to beat teams with his arm. He is a smart run first type QB. Is that what Doug and the Franchise wants? This off-season is going to be very interesting.

The next candidate on my list would be whoever is responsible for the Bills success with such a spazz at QB.

Those two teams are playing way beyond expectations right now because of the way their QBs have been coached up.

Lurie does fancy himself as an "offense" owner.  Without bothering to search for a link, I'm pretty sure he has acknowledged as much.  He's hired offense gurus with an emphasis on the passing game ever since AR.

I cannot imagine he would support a coaching staff that wants a Baltimore offense.

He was a bad corner here. Like with Eric Rowe and Chandon Sullivan, we didn’t really have the foresight to see him at another spot.

One other thing with Hurts...Hurts may have piled on the rushing yards in college, but he's mobile for a QB in the mold of a young Mcnabb (only making a comparison from a mobility perspective).

Guys like Lamar Jackson and Murray...when the ball is in their hands...they are like an elite RB or WR.  Completely different level of mobility.  Now, that does nothing for me, as I have beaten to death all night.  But just to be clear, Hurts is not that kind of threat with the ball in his hands anyway.

I don’t think he has an arm like McNabb
