Here are your snap counts

I see that Alshon played more than both Watkins and Fulgham. 🤔

Here's to a multi--year extension for Alshon.

How funny would it be if Hurts wins the SB this year, Wentz hauled away from the sideline in a straight jacket

It's crazy. People want Howie fired because his draft picks ALL suck; especially the Hurts pick that may actually SAVE our season. His WR picks can't catch the balls that Wentz throws, his lineman can't block long enough ...for Wentz to make a decision, even our D sucks...after the quick 3n-outs and turnovers. Doug also has to go because all his pass plays...that Wentz gets sacked or throws inaccurately, fail. No one wanted to blame Wentz. Instead the whole team was at fault. All these fans and journalists didn't seem to see that. I suppose it's some sort of materialist matrix they see him through, that because Carson was paid so much, he's ...unsinkable; and they just won't believe that his play adversely affected the team in such a critical way.

Eagles beat the best team in the NFC and it is still everyone else's fault but Wentz.

Yup.  If they are going to restructure his contract, they need his signature.   And the only way that a restructure works to free up money, is to push that money on to the cap for future years.

If they convert everything they can from his contract to a signing bonus, spread over the remaining years of his deal, they drop his number by $18M.  Then they take the big hit for him in 2022 if they decide to move on, instead of this year.  But, since they've been painted into a corner by all the other bad contracts, they can't really afford not to push his money back as far as possible for now, while digging out of the rest of the hole.   Which means, he's back in 2021.  There's virtually no way around that, because even with that, Alshon, Desean and Goodwin all coming off the books, that's only $35M off the cap.  But, they might be as much as $65M over the cap.  If they hold at this year's number, rather than the contracted number, that might be enough to get them clear of the cap... freeing up the option to trade other players to free up future money.    But, it's a quagmire.

That's on the coaching staff then.   If you give the QB freedom, then if he uses it, and you don't want him to... teach him when not to... OR take away that freedom from him.    That's what being a coach is all about... getting the player to do the right things on the field.

That might be why Doug benched him. Doug might have already told him not to audible so much and he isnt listening. The next move by Doug is to bench him which he did.

McLeod tore his ACL

Injuries:

Josh Sweat is okay

Slay in concussion protocol

McLeod - Out for the season with a torn ACL

Maddox - Will "miss some time" no word on the specific injury though

I believe he was asked about Malik Jackson as well but probably forgot.

Just awful. He'll be back next year, but a Safety off 2 torn ACLs at age 31 means he'll be a box player.

Perhaps.

I knew it as soon as they showed the replay

Looked like it when he came downs ans immediately was in pain. Likely isn’t going to be ready for the start of the season. So safety now has wallace, Epps and Arnold.

We need a long-term solution at FS anyway. Next year will be as good of a time as any.

So everyone except Sweat will miss next week

I don't think Slay is ruled out yet.

QB running for 100 yards every week is not a sustainable model.  See Taysom Hill.

Agreed.  QB who is a turnover machine, not able to run, not able to throw accurately, not able to go through his progressions is a sustainable model.  See Carson Wentz.

This is Slay's 2nd concussion this year. He should not be playing this year. It's not about winning/losing, it's about player safety.

Exactly. No one outside of Jeff, Howie. Doug and Wentz knows much of anything. All we and the media can do is speculate. I'm just throwing crap against the wall bc something is wrong between Wentz and Doug offense.

Maddox is also injury prone. He missed 3 games as a rookie. 4 games last year. He’s already missed 3 this year and likely more than one with this injury.

I believe it's his 2nd. He'll be out

Ah the famous last words i basically say every year about safety. About the 4th year in a row.

They asked Doug if he calls better plays for a backup
