Big P

Another short armed C with some G experience.  Not T Rex arms like Juriga but more like Herbig speed than Kelce speed.  Did learn how to pull at Bama.  Another late season PS poach.

I don’t get the Hurts hate in here. 1-0 beat Saints but is hated. Totally toxic

You mean like what we had to listen to ALL year? Don't act like you have the high ground. And FYI there is ALWAYS a QB controversy and the fanbase is always fighting it out. This isn't new.

No I understand your point.  Nowhere did I say the offense is great and that receivers are running open nonstop.  All I said was that for the particular situation they are in, with injuries to the line and at WR, a smart QB knows he has to throw the ball away often because there are many plays where there's nothing there.

So fixing the offense goes beyond changing the QB.

One guy was losing football games at a ridiculous rate the other hasnt

Well my hope is that Hurts doesn’t distract Lurie from what needs to be done.  That would be depressing.

I'm worried this little spark during this crap season has saved Howie

I dont know why you guys keep going back and forth with the Wentz haters, lol. Once I see a poster and all they post about is bashing Wentz and nothing else or uses the Wentz Washers word, they get blocked. Its one thing to make a few posts but its all they talk about and bring no value to the board. Best to just ignore them, otherwise your feeding into them. If you dont reply to them they have zero to talk about since they know nothing else, lol.

Yes cause only one opinion matters those of the blog faithful! A little short sided by you huh?

Of course it does.  But the most important item to fix was the QB.

Of course — but when you are trying to throw for 7 points and you miss the entire field of play ..... not good at all

I don't think it's hate. At least on my end it isn't. It's just being realistic with what we saw yesterday. I thought the two best things that Hurts did yesterday was throw the ball away when nothing was there and use his legs to add a dimension to the offense. He also had a good throw to Alshon for the TD. But overall, we didn't see that much of a difference in the offense. Especially in the second half. But at the same time, it was his first start and I'm curious how he plays out for the rest of the season. But if that's the gameplan they're going to have every week for him, it is not a sustainable formula long-term.

One game. A trap game for the Saints who started figuring out his gimmicky runs after one half of football.

I’m looking forward to seeing his next 3 games.  He looks like a really good #2 QB.  I’m a skeptic that he will look like a bonafide #1 before the end of this season, but he has his opportunity

Funny thing is I’m actually not sold on Hurts either but at this point I wanna see what the kid has and he deserves to be the starter for the rest of the season.

There is always fighting about the QB because this fanbase is obsessed with the backup QB. Foles and his miracle amazing SB run sort of kicked that up even higher lol.

Whatever it is he leads by a lot. He’s also a 5 year starter.

If you want to make the comparison, go ahead. 1 of them is a fumble every 32 snaps.  The other is a fumble every 80 snaps.  Neither is particularly good, but one is worse than the other.

but, this entire Hurts vs. Wentz thing is stupid.  This isn't about Hurts and Wentz.  This is about bad coaching, bad personnel and bad cap management.  Wentz has been bad this season.  The point has been conceded.  Hurts isn't going to fix all the problems on this team, just as Wentz wasn't the cause of all the problems.  But, it was nice to see Doug stop using Greg Ward for flanker screens... finally.  2 flanker screens against the Saints - 1 to Reagor and 1 to Sanders.  Both gained more than 5 yards each.  It was nice to see some manufactured touches for Reagor.  Clearly he struggles at actually getting open, but he's a threat with the ball in his hands, so its nice to see the coaches finally do something specifically designed to get him the ball and in space.  It only took 13 weeks.

But, if you want to make this all Wentz vs. Hurts... go ahead.  I won't be engaging.

So changing the QB isn’t a fix unless the scheme changes.  All you are going to have is a slightly less bad offense.

Yeah they sure "figured out" the Eagles to the tune of giving up over 400 yards and 24 points.  In the several weeks before they were giving up 9 PPG and held Tom Brady at home to 3 points and 194 total yards of offense.

Just as interesting as the decision about the QB going forward after this season is who will be making the decision.

He’s just making you an escape goat.

Doug isn’t a bad coach that’s a Wentzcuse

Dude won our only super bowl and with a back up at that vs the Patriots. One bad year cause of a sus QB doesn’t make a bad coach

Throwing it 70 yards in the air, when 60 is better is bad.

I said they started figuring it out AFTER one half. Most of those numbers and points were in what half again?

Teams don't play one half.  They play full games.  Cherry picking stats for just one half to bolster your weak argument isn't fooling anyone.

You think grayland Arnold is going to be safety or corner, he played a bit of both in college

I think Howie thinks he can be a SS.  I think whoever is outlining what a DB should look like should move to another team next year.  Too small to be a SS and frankly, he is no Jalen Mills despite similar speed.

So an explosion in the first half and much more limited numbers after the half doesn't signify to you that a team may have started adjusting and figuring out some things? Ok.
