Some people just won’t learn about "mobile qb’s”.  They don’t last and they don’t win Super Bowls.  Patrick Mahommes is Not in that category.

wentz apologists are not eagles fans, you want hurts to fail because you want wentz to play no matter how many times they lose and how little he will score points or cant move the ball until the second half, you dont care about team ever winning. such a toxic fanbase.

All I'm saying is you dont watch football lol

The main play that caused our safety against the browns was Greg Ward letting the punt drop and not Fair Catching it. Which I think has happened close to a dozen(probably more) this year.

So sure, the average is 5 yards a game. But when you add in the 5 yard return average + greg ward costing us 8-15 yards off non fair catches your looking at a huge field positon switch and puts your offense in a bad spot in the goal post shadows

If you're arguing that they need to find someone better than Ward at returning punts than I agree with you.

Of course fielding punts and not getting as good of field position is very important.  I'm not disputing that.

Sweat and Barnett had good games. I really feel comfortable with Sweat as a part of the rotation for the next several years. He is only going to get better.

They all want to lose for a better draft pick that Howie will probably screw up anyway....

It never ends

His original point is that the return game doesn't matter as much.  Then he changed and said punt return td's don't happen as much.  Which are two different arguments.  Of course kickofff returns are obsolete at this point.  Punt Return's are very important.  We as Philly fans should know that, especially this year.  Are there less TD.  By the looks of the numbers, yes.

Ah I didn't see his first argument. Just the TDs one, which is interesting to see the decline. The return game of course matters.

If Hurts remains our starter, I hope he does well. If Wentz takes over again, I hope he does well. I’m not tied to either QB, I just wanna go back to winning.

No we want to lose so the entire coaching staff and Howie are fired, and we can begin to move in a fresh direction.

The move for the OL from Washington makes more sense now then it did yesterday.

As a self proclaimed Wentz Lover, my big issue is a lot of people think the offense worked well sunday lol. or even worked "good"

That offense was still hot trash. The defense gave them a short field(rare) they got a huge run play(rare) and Hurts ran for his life while going 17 for 30 on 44 drop backs lol

If Sunday's offense was hot trash than what was week 1-12??  Extreme nuclear waste unidentifiable by man or machine??

I think it's ridiculous that people continually think that any team should try and emulate the Chiefs. The Chiefs go as Mahomes goes. That guy is on another planet talent wise, and we'll see how his career goes, but so far, he looks just outta this world. Rodgers would be having an easy MVP season (leads in almost all major categories) but Mahomes will likely still walk away with the trophy. I can't remember a team that can get down by double digit points, and you just know they are going to come back, and usually with ease. You can't replicate Mahomes, never mind Kelce/Hill et al. It's not realistic in any way.

The "Patriots Way" (outside of blatant cheating) was with good defense that created timely turnovers, combined with a legendary QB who's best attribute was moving the chains and not making dumb mistakes, as well as coming up with clutch drives when needed.

Outside of that, you get the one offs, like Peyton in Denver with a ridiculous defense, or our own Eagles team which also won with a rock solid defense and a beautiful mix of pass/run.

The Ravens are not a team to be emulated for their offense. It's crap, and it gets exposed in the playoffs when they force Lamar to be a passer. You can't explain that away, though I notice you dodge it every chance you get. You can be great during the regular season doing that, but who cares about regular season results if you lose your first playoff game every year?

The problem with the current Eagles is they have no cohesive vision for building the roster. First they wanted to load up on 12 personnel and big bodies that "played above the rim". Well that didn't work so well, so then we went with pure speed guys to open up the field. That appears to also be a fail, because Doug doesn't know how to mesh the speed guys with the leftover 12 personnel junk.

I didn't say "emulate the Chiefs" I said what they could likely do is a hybrid between what the Chiefs do and how the Ravens use Jackson (this offense is already a hybrid of Andy's offense...or at least it was in 2017, 2018 when they seemed to do better.  The entire 12 personnel thing came around mostly last year)

And that is a total guess on my part.  We have no idea if Hurts will be the QB moving forward.  If Wentz gets his issues fixed in the off-season and comes back to the Eagles strong, there is no "Qb controversy".

What happened while I was gone?  Why are there two factions in here?  Anti Wentz or Anti Hurts?  What is this, CVON?  Aren't we all Eagle fans?  JFC, what a bunch of weirdos.  I want what's best for the team.....LONG TERM!.  If it's Hurts.  Then so be it.  But the whole thing needs to be gutted.  I am just cautioning you Anti Wentz people to not get seduced by a running/scrambling qb.  At least not so soon.  What's best for the team is a complete gut job.  From top to bottom.

There have always been Wentz haters. You haven't been gone that long. They have moved on from Foles to the new object of their affection

You have your normal group of posters and then you have this separate group who never stop talking about Wentz and act like everyone is defending him when no one really is

Howie isn’t going anywhere. Best you can hope for is a Headcoaching change that may not happen if Hurts keeps winning.

Im all for a fresh direction I just don’t see Howie being moved. He’s got mind control over Lurie.

Yeah I don’t get it. Wentz is a good QB having a bad year. Hopefully Hurts is also a good QB. They’re both on the roster so I’m rooting for them to be successful. Let’s just all be happy we have 2 QBs better than Dak.

It sure is great for their shareholders!

But really this is pretty cool, trying to get kids interested. It'll be broadcast on nickelodeon so not like adults will have to deal with it. I'll watch it in hopes they play Sweet Victory at halftime

Pretty sure parks erased this now but was on Wallace’s IG in response to his post

Comparing Andy's offense to Doug's is like comparing a newborn child who will become a supermodel to an ugly deformed monster that was poked in the womb by a metal coat hanger.

So who is the backup tackle at either spot at this point? Toth? Seumalo?

I wish some of these Wentz bashers would be banned.  You are all intolerable.  You accuse everyone of being "Wentz washers" and making excuses for the guy, but every one of you is completely incapable of having an intelligent conversation about the other problems on this team.  The irony punches you right in the face.  None of you are real fans of this team.

You've all been hiding under the shadow of Nick's big D the past few years, waiting for the exact moment to spread your parasitic agenda to the majority of fans that actually love the team and understand the game of football.  If anyone is pissed off about Hurts looking like a decent QB in his first start, the only reason is having to read the 4th grade crap that you spew out on this blog on a daily basis.

I don't care about winning this season. That has nothing to do with wanting one QB to do well over another. I want Howie gone. That's the ultimate mission and goal. Winning this extremely bad division to lose in the wildcard and not have a top 10 pick isn't for the best interest of the team. That would actually hurt the future of the team IMO.

This is reasonable. I agree. At this point though I doubt Hurts ability. But if we move on from Wentz of course we should root for whoever is our qb

Bah God! Is that Jason Peter's music?!! He's returned!
