When we trade Wentz to the Colts, can we work Hines into the deal?

If this ends up happening, Darius Leonard would be a nice consolation prize.

Josh Sweat has done a nice job this year. And I’m hopeful he continues to get better, one of the few who’ve shown improvement.

Chris Long was absolutely terrific in ‘17 and ‘18.

If we part ways with Brandon Graham this year (I can't remember if that's possible or not with his cap number), is Josh Sweat capable of being a starter?  Or will his injury history restrict him to a situational pass rusher?

I was surprised to see he only played 25 snaps on Sunday and still had that production.  Then I remembered who was coaching the team.  He was an absolute force when he played and against a really good LT.

The Colts would laugh at us if we asked for Leonard.  Besides, Leonard is to good of a LB to play for this team.

I think BGs contract means he is here one more year

About the same situation as Wentz, save 700,000 by cutting / trading him, with a 17 million dead cap hit.  If that is to much, and Alshon being to much, you know there is no way in he double hockey sticks that Wentz is going anywhere with a 34.8 million dead cap hit.

You answered the question yourself. All our DE’s rotate because that’s what we do.
Graham would be a hard trade because he’s a lifetime Eagle.

We will need a backup to Nate Gerry again in case he’s injured again next year.

What? Hurts doesn't miss throws, he singlehandedly beat the best defense ever in the WORLD!!!!!!!

Ah but when someone post something like this about Wentz they are trolls.

Fine I’ll play the role of Blog Faithful (let me know how I do!)

😭😭😭 You’re a troll! I’m gonna put you on my handy dandy ever so great and glorious Ignore list cause this blog is the only thing I have in life that keeps me going and I can only talk to people who share my opinion....

I think I nailed it!

Gotta move these guys.  Trade Graham, and they might just get something back, but more importantly clear 2022 of any cost.  Otherwise... $12.2M dead for 2022, and that's without any salary.  Voided years.   Yay Howie!!!

I highly doubt the Colts do it but I would take him no problem.

It would suck, but that's what Howie has created.

At 32 years old I don’t see many teams lining up for Graham. It’s possible but I don’t see it

Josh Sweat is kinda filling his role now

Sweat was a monster in this last game. He showed some great technique. He has developed well. We have found the franchise 2.0 as well.

Glad we are figuring things out some.

I meant it a little bit tongue in cheek, but if Howie has nudes of the Colts GM similar to the Vikings' GM when he traded Bradford for a 1st, maybe there's a shot.

**For the record, I don't want to trade Wentz if we clean house.

Howard is on the PS? Guess that explains not seeing him on Sunday

Same.   Wentz doesn't seem to work with Doug, but with Reich and/or DeFilippo in the mix there was just magic.   It's a shame it fell apart so fast.

Nice to see Prince being protected.  I think he dresses Sunday.

They will june designate alshon and keep BG i imagine

Oh goodie... the Alshon restructure... the contract that just won't die.

I'm all for keeping BG next season especially if he doesn't save us anything by releasing him.  However, if Sweat keeps improving and producing the way he is without injuries, somebody will pay him a ton in 2022.  His production per snap has to be outrageous this year.

**Side note.  I didn't realize this, but Sweat was also part of the Bradford trade to Minnesota.  Howie clearly sucks now, but he traded Sam Bradford for Barnett and Sweat.  When Barnett is healthy, I think he's better than most give him credit for.  But it's nice to have an athletic, long-armed freak like Sweat making ridiculous strip sacks that we are not accustomed to seeing.

Barnett is a likely cap casualty i think

which is a shame bc i think he has talent

Better to just restructure him and keep his cap number low in 2021.  They could save about $8M and keep him around with a carefully crafted contract.

Oh boy that guaranteed money in 2022 coming off an inevitable lower body injury in 2021 is gonna be fuuuuun

I hope they have a plan for 2022 then.  If Barnett is a cap casualty, Sweat continues to improve and gets paid by someone else, and Graham is released because of his cap number, there's another position we are screwed at moving forward.

I hope someone else has a plan... ;)   These idiots shouldn't be allowed to even play Madden in Franchise mode with the way they've screwed this up.

We'll just sign Vinny Curry, problem solved
