I think your missing the point. I’m talking about the Oline only. Not Hurts VS Carson. If the Oline continues to play well with Hurts then I think Carson deserves more of the blame and the Oline isn’t an Excuse. If they play as they did with Hurts then Carson has a legit excuse for his troubles.

The line did not play well with hurts. He just disguised it because he was running for his life and getting positive yards.  You were going to see an entirely different situation this weekend, with multiple guys in the Cardinals defense able to spy, and they have defensive ends that are fast, can get to the quarterback, and they’re not gonna make the same mistakes the Saints did.

Are you saying the coaches intentionally sabotaged Wentz and/or the team?

Question I been asking. Still haven’t gotten an answer. It really doesn’t make any sense does it?

And that's my point.  He was one of the worst lineman on the field when he was playing.  Regardless of where he was.  Hurts doesn't need to see that.  And, spare me the next 3 games BS.  People want Carson gone no matter what because he's a corny midwestern bible thumper who loves guns.  That has a lot to do with the hate.  The next 3 games isn't enough to properly judge Hurts and damn Carson.  It should be enough, to make a change at HC and GM.  The whole situation is a mess.

I don’t give a F if he’s full on Jimmy Swaggert out there as long as he’s playing winning football.

Wentzcuse #33 - they hate Christians! 🤣

No they’re just not very bright apparently. Why would you run a flanker screen to Greg ward? And when it continues not to work why would you do it over and over and over again.

I have to disagree I mean the Eagles ran for 250 yards. I mean a struggling Oline doesn’t accomplish that.

Um.... what?

You don't think they have given the 12 different combinations, both starting tackles, both starting guards injured all year?

Sanders averaged 2.5 per carry without the long run.

So... if the Eagles cut Carson, took all the dead money on him in 2021, and brought him back for vet minimum you'd be ok with that?

If it was only the $35M cap hit then yes.  Our risk of keeping him on gets totally mitigated in that scenario.

But since cutting him means a $60M cap hit in reality, then the answer is no.

At least 3 times I can think of 'Eagles QB controversies'. Feeley played well and pushed McNabb to then play better. Result: 2nd rd pick for Feeley. 2nd rd Kolb came and pushed McNabb more, out the door in fact(where he went on win 20 SBs not). Then Vick stepped in after injury to push Kolb, and took over. Kolb ALSO got a 2nd rd pick in a trade. We'll never know how much having Foles pushed Wentz in 2017, only that Wentz hasn't looked the same since. All the money, all 3 times was in huge starter salaries the eagles lost in McNabb, Vick, and now Wentz. The backups ALWAYS paid off. When someone brings up this 'Dreaded QB Controversy', I have to ask: WTF are you talking about?

So ...... if the Eagles fleece a team to give us a first-round pick for Hurts, everything is good?  Is that your premise?

Also i am a Christ follower as well and I love my guns too so that has nothing to do with the hate or I’m my case question about his performance.

The Oline is constantly changing. We're on our 13th combination

The Oline that played against the Saints isn't going to be the same one that plays against the Cards

You're suggesting we ignore the mistakes/lessons of the first 3 times? If we could unload Carson for a bag of chips right now, we should take that cap space. Whatever Carson is right now, he's NOT worth that cap space.

No but let’s see what happens

Could be various reasons.  Ward has been a consistent WR since the end of last season.  Maybe they (and Carson) felt more comfortable giving him those plays?

They obviously adjusted since Reagor seems to be the one getting them now.

But the cap hit is $34M regardless — and instead of fixing the #2 overall pick who is still only 27, you’re left with a bag of chips that you’ll eat in 20 minutes.

Who's the GM of Chicago?  Is he more qualified than a 5 foot tall bean counter?  If so, I'll go with Chicago.  Even though they never have a QB worth a damn.

There GM traded up one spot to draft Trubisky so....

Other than having 12 holes in the bucket, I think it holds water pretty well.

No, one of the biggest problems of this offense since the beginning of the year, literally game one... is that the OL has NOT been good or even adequate this year.  And it was exacerbated by the fact that the coaches (specifically the play caller) that didn't recognize that a new OL combination would be more effective RUNNING the ball than PASSING it the majority of the time.  And finally, the GM decided that they didn't need any RB depth beyond Boston Scott and Corey Clement, for when Sanders (inevitably) would miss time due to injury.  And when your QB is not trusting the OL to protect him, maybe running the ball more would also benefit the whole offense.

Dominoes.  The first domino to fall was the OL.

I only want DeSean as the PR and the occasional deep threat. Reducing Reagor's snaps for Keeping DeSean on the roster wasting a spot and $ would be next level stupid.

Sunk cost.   Same argument as you made with Desean.

I don’t know about that. I watch the all 22 last night. The Eagles line blocked pretty well. Now they called more quarterback runs in there. Because that is a strength of Jalen hurts. It would make no sense not to do that knowing the type of athlete hurts is and how his legs could be a benefit to the offense. Now the run blocking for Sanders outside of that one run was not overly great.

However I would argue the offensive line was better cause you didn’t have peters, opeta, jamon brown or pryor out there. Driscoll has always been better than pryor this year. Even week 1 his performance was better than anything you got from pryor. Peters i think universally everyone can agree is done. He was also asked to play guard which he never did in his life until this season which it showed he hadn’t completely adapted. I was not high on herbig but i give him credit he’s actually been competent when in there. You’d like a better quality guard but he’s at least competent. Literally all 4 of those guys shouldn’t be on an active 53 man roster at this stages of their career.

Well we F'ed up, didn't we? We have him for 3 years at least to try to pull every string to make him worth his price. He's Sam Bradford, only less talented. MAYBE pushing Carson somehow with a good backup will get him back to that 2017 mindset; but not having one, didn't get it done for 2 years..

I just think it’s a fair question to ask. Doug is on the verge of being fired. Did he Sabotage Carson at his own expense? It’s like me cutting the brakes on your car to kill you but I’m the driver.

That’s the main reason I’m okay with Hurts playing these last 4 games.  I suspect he’ll look pretty much the same in all 4 games — like a good #2 QB, which is what the Eagles drafted him to be.

The mistake I’m hoping the Eagles don’t make is fooling themselves into thinking he looks like a good #1 QB — unless we see more proficient passing, quicker decision making apart from just taking off and running, and a rapport with his WR group

If any team out there offered a first for him the Eagles should jump on it.

Now Google "Saints run defense" and see what comes up.

I think that's one of his more commendable traits.  I don't know how he acts behind the scenes but from everything he's done publicly, the way he presents himself, given back to the community, etc is likely due (at least in part) to his Christian background.

I don't think there's too many people that want him benched because of that.  Pretty far fetched, imo.  It's probably the other way around.
