I guess he was trying to get on the hot seat then....

Do you know what the question is asking ??  They are talking about it on 975 and WIP.  The betrayal is drafting a back up QB when the team had so many other needs.

Here is another poll.

He is not a genius with Hurts.  Multiple break downs exposed the Saints flaw in their game plan, soft edge with DE's crashing inside, and no spy.

They shut it down in the second half, with 15 minutes to adjust.  Lets see what happens with the Cardinals having a week to game plan, and two guys who can spy, one from LB and one from Safety.

That’s what I been saying 😂

Lets see what happens the next 3 games and get some clarity

Eagles before last week had been first in the NFL in yards per carry. Now second.

Eagles before last week had been 29th or 30th in carries, now 26th, because Doug ran the ball last week.

HOW IS IT RUNNING INTO A BRICK WALL WHEN THE EAGLES HAVE BEEN TOP 1 OR 2 IN YARDS PER CARRY MOST OF THE SEASON.

You're trying to reason into a brick wall

If all of these speculations are true then they all need to go. It’s not all on Doug , it’s not all on Wentz, it’s not all on Howie. It’s a team effort that forced this team to suck.

Hopefully we can all agree that Howie needs to go first.

No your extreme coddling of Carson doesn’t match up with the facts.  Please show play by play that Doug is calling passes when he should be calling runs, based upon the look the defense is showing on that particular play.  Without that all you have is speculation, conveniently slanted to blame Doug and absolve Wentz.  What a surprise.

I'm not coddling him.  I'm discussing play calling and how the coach didn't help his QB to succeed.  That doesn't absolve Wentz.  Nor the OL.  But, when the OL is making your running game work, while struggling to pass protect, and your WRs struggle to get open consistently, you lean on the run as a play caller.  That means you make a COMMITMENT to it, even if it's not working all the time.   Ironically, he seemed to have no issue sticking to the pass, even though his QB was struggling (notice, no excuse made there... but the issue is about how the HC and, in this case, play caller reacts to that and works to overcome that struggle).  But, you have an axe to grind.  Grind away.

bye now.

IF -- then good organizations, regardless of industry, would start purging from the top down.

But you agree he had better play calling and put the right players in position with Hurts in. So which is it? Did he sabotage Wentz or grow brains over night with Hurts and figure it out?

Again, just because he called the game differently for Hurts doesn't mean he sabotaged Wentz.  He clearly doesn't know how to use him.  That's not sabotage.  That's stupid.  The 2 don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Doug:  Wentz slow now bc knee injuries.  Me not roll him out of pocket bc him can't move.  Him pocket passer.  Him hang in there for 5 seconds and receiver get open.

Also Doug:  Hurts fast.  Me roll him out constantly and give him 1 read options.  Me also run the ball much more.

If anyone believes they’re not gonna do this all you have to do is go through their course of their history.  Like Jason peters (and somewhat sproles) is the only exception to this

And he is one of the best QB's in the league on the move.  And the 1 or 2 times a game he did do it, huge chunk plays.

All teams do this.  JFC Sean McVay does it with Jared Goff constantly.

Yea. This team is the most disfunctional in the league. It is like the front office has zero clue what they are doing

Only 11 QBs threw for 4000+yds in 2019. Wentz was 9th. 10th was Mahomes and 11th was Rodgers

Notice how @Arsenal79 a day later will still not answer that question.  He knows, that is why he wont answer.

Did he sabotage Wentz

The team did when they drafted a back up in the second round when they had so many needs.

As Tyrone Johnson just said on 97.5 why not draft a player that can help the team ( Jeremy Chinn ) then sign Jamies Winston as the back up QB ??

Do you have faith that Jalen Hurts could win a playoff game ??

Super liberal owner will go to great lengths to get rid of super conservative quarterback.

Is that too far-fetched to think?

Are one of them born-again?  Lurie just backed up a Brinks truck full of money for him.

"What have you done lately" comes with the tens of millions of dollars of salary. That is the way the world works whether you are a CEO, player, entertainer, coach, manager and on and on. The desired response on his part would be introspective and self-aware, "what am I doing to contribute to this situation?" Getting defensive or being thin skinned are not qualities that, generally, help people succeed in challenging situations like this. People who are simply great and don't have to contend with challenges like these are fine being defensive and thin skinned. TO is not a self aware person but he didn't have issues to correct in terms of his performance on the field. It's not an absolute but Wentz really working to understand his role in the situation (I need to work on my throwing mechanics, I need to get rid of the ball more quickly, etc) is a much more productive way forward than getting frustrated with the team or trying to work on the same things that are currently inhibiting his success. Getting frustrated means he is confused about why things are happening. How can you fix a situation when you are confused about why it is happening?

I'm agnostic about players. For me it is all about the team and what is best for the team. I don't see it as a betrayal of Wentz to be real about his play. Is his solely responsible? No way. Is is primarily responsible? Yes, IMO.

His coach and the talent around him sucks and he hasn't said a word publicly. Is he allowed to not trust the Fing morons that put him in that place...........yup

Listening to the same thing out here in AZ. I had no clue Winston was less that two million.

No, its an irrelevant red herring.  Nobody except a Washer is going to genuflect for Carson because he threw for 4000 yards last season.  As you and your boys have illustrated, its pretty common with 11 QB's doing it last year.

More importantly his QBR and Passer Rating last year were 11th and 13rd respectively.  Just slightly above average.  Nothing special.

He's only had ONE great season, which was 2017.  It's pretty clear that 13 game stretch was a fluke.

Yep, just like the Green Bay Packers sabotaged Aaron Rodgers by taking Jordan Love in the FIRST ROUND.

You said everyone throws for 4000 yards in this era.  For the 3rd time, please tell me when this era began ??

Aaron Rodgers is 37.

My post wasn't 100% serious, but a deep down thought.  You never know.  Look how hard Carson tried this summer to become woke.

How many QBs threw 4000 yards to practice squad WRs all year?

It has been 50 years since a qb was drafted that high when your qb is 27 years old. Rodgers is 37. He is one of the greatest of all time too. Not sure how you could compare that.

50 years. Lol. Wentz has sucked but the draft decision was dumb.

Yes clearly the same situation 37-year-old quarterback nearing the end of his career is clearly the same as a 27-year-old quarterback in the midst of his prime. Great comparison.
