Imo RBC is the way to go into NFL. I dont mind using a 2nd rounder on a rb, but I'd rather trade him then give a huge 2nd contract. Looks like the rams learned their lesson with TG. Gurley is avg at best in Atl, while the rams are having alot of success with a RBC.

The Niners went to the SB with a RBC. Chiefs won a SB with RBC

Sounds familiar.

Yes eagles did too

Yep.  When a RB is your best player, you’re not going to win a SB.   Not anymore.

Yup. Used to be one could pair a really good RB with a really good defense and have a shot.

With the rules that favor offense so much the run the ball play defense strategy isn't as effective as it was say 10 years ago.

He’s the Tennessee Volunteers QB coach.  Trust me when I say, he’s done a crap job.  Jarret Guarantano has been atrocious under his tutelage.  Terrible football season for me on all fronts.

Actually except my daughters college.  Coastal Carolina.

Would the first in a while.  And I would love to see it.  Probably the best example.

I like their offense. They’ve made Tannehill look really good.

I agree sweet spot is 2-3 imo as well. However it’s not horrific logic on Reid’s part. If CEH he gets 5 good years and a franchise year. That’s 6 good years. I can live with that. I was highly against CMC that year for that reason.

Remember when RTK told us anyone should take barkley at 1 cause he was a HOF rb. As much as i like barkley that was a ridiculously bad take

It was RTK so.....

Super liberal owner will go to great lengths to get rid of super conservative quarterback.

Is that too far-fetched to think?

Just because he hunts and goes to church doesn’t mean he can’t be "liberal”

If the Eagles get smoked on Sunday and they’re bad on offense, I’m going to guess that Doug gets canned

Carr just broke Mr Happy.

Nothing a little gold bond won’t fix.  Suck it up Carr

The deck is also stacked against in that the blue chip RB talent we’ve seen gets gobbled up top five by awful teams. Saquoun, Zeke are the two that come to mind. The prime is so short that their teams don’t have time to be competitive coming from near worst in league. I believe either of those guys could have carried a playoff-worthy team.

Marcus Mariota passing to Nelson Agholor.  Somewhere in SoCal, Chip Kelly is getting aroused.

Derrick Henry?
Meh ... probably not

Henry is so fun to watch stiff arm and run over people

Nope.  And it’s been a theory of mine for a while.  Especially with a large portion of his haters.

What a pass.

That was a dime to Waller. I find myself cheering for Waller. He’s got a great story and you like seeing guys like that who turn their life around have success.

some interesting quotes/parts from the story:

Sources close to owner Jeffrey Lurie said that while no decision has been reached on whether Pederson will be back for a sixth season, Roseman’s return never has been in doubt. In fact, it’s not even something Lurie has contemplated.

"He does have a blind spot when it comes to Howie,” said one current member of the organization. "I’m not saying he deserves to be fired for the way this season has gone. I mean, we did win a Super Bowl three years ago and have made the playoffs three straight years. So he probably deserves a little slack.

"But there’s no question that Jeffrey looks at Howie through a different lens than he does everybody else.”

Asked about Pederson’s relationship with Roseman, a Pederson colleague and friend said, "It’s not a bad relationship. But it’s one in which you always have to watch your back if you’re Doug.

"That’s just the nature of the animal you’re dealing with. That’s why I don’t think Doug would be upset if he got fired. Because he knows he’ll get another job. And he won’t have to deal with a lot of the crap he has to deal with here.”

My takeaway from this is that Lurie is the problem.

Yeah we’re screwed.

So why are Chargers 4-9? That QB looks good

That’s what my takeaway was. it’s why for most of the last decade (2011-2020) besides 2017 the organization has been about an average football team (without 2017 they averaged 8 wins per year) and as much dysfunction as they’ve had. It always starts at the top.

He had struggled the last 3 weeks prior to this game. The chargers find ways to lose. However they should’ve won the raiders game the first time of their WR didn’t drop a ball in the end zone

We're a top 10 franchise since 2000. Arguably top 5.

That article gives howie credit for drafting Lane and Ertz

Lost a bunch of close ones.  Just not last week.

Lurie has changed.  You have to see that.  And we’ve never been trending this bad.  Old.  Always Injured.  And in as bad of a cap situation that I can ever remember for the Eagles.

Still trying to figure out how the Patriots shut out the chargers.
