DJ hasn't helped us win since week 1 last year. He's done nothing in any other game he's managed to suit up for since.

That's not true.  He hasn't played much but when he's been in he's played well.

Obviously not. Your blatantly distorted comparison suggests an undying devotion to Wentz.

No. Your blind hatred of Wentz doesn't allow you to see that Hurts did exactly the same thing that Wentz is being accused of doing.

Hurts actually did run away

Wentz is being accused of wanting to do the same thing. Of course that only comes from a reporter

Yes.  In weeks 16 and 17 when your team blows, you start the kids.  That’s different from expecting a 7th round pick to start as a rookie.

Apparently the Eagles feel differently.

Couple catches. Whoopie. It’s not like he’s broken any game open. You must have very low standards. I’d rather allow the younger guys to develop. They could possibly have a future here. DJ has none.

Wrong.  Hurts stayed and backed up Tua the following season.  He came in and saved Alabama in the SEC Title Game when Tua got hurt.

OTOH your boy wants out immediately if he is not handed the job on a silver platter even though he is the worst QB in the league.

Because having him active means a young WR won't be.    Is it really that complicated?

I'm not sure about that.  I believe they have at least 6-7 active WR's atm.  And if the younger guys earned more playing time over a guy like DJax, I'm sure they'll get opportunities as well.

Have you seen this anywhere besides from Schefter who admitted he never spoke to either Wentz or his agent?

When you find evidence of Wentz wanting out of Philly is true post it. Until then it's just specualtion from a reporter tooking to get a story.

Adam Schefter is the best reporter in the business.  There's no way he would just make this up.  He obviously has a source, its just not Wentz or Wentz' agent.  They were prob upset about the blowback which is why Schefter came out and made clear they weren't his sources.

Even Wentz' biggest fluffer (more than even people on this thread lol) Dan Orlovsky has admitted that the Eagles and Wentz are headed for a divorce by mutual consent.

Pretty much the entire world has come around to the fact that Wentz is gone.  The last holdouts are the WPA (Wentz Protection Agency) in this thread conjuring fantasies of "fixing Wentz" and trading Hurts instead lol.

Yes he was so special they benched him not long into his first season with the Rams.

The Rams, just like alot of fans, failed to see that 27-2 season was a mirage.  It was a great year for him, 7 TD game and all.  But he was never close to that again.

His career is very strange. He's got his gear in the hall, he has a pro bowl, he's won a SB and was MVP all while on the same team but different times(with different coaches too). He can't stay healthy and only has bursts of good games. Very strange

Tampa clinches a playoff spot. Makes week 17 vs Atlanta a little less significant for them. How that might end up mattering?

If the Eagles lose out, they'll need Atlanta to win one more game to get ahead another draft spot. Atlanta plays KC this week, so forget about that.

Yeah, I want Ja'Marr Chase that badly, to where I'm calculating this crap in my head to this degree.

I want a better draft pick by any means 🤷‍♂️

Be careful.  People will accuse you of not being a real Eagles fan if you prefer the Eagles get a better draft pick, which means losing to the oh so relevant Dallas Cowboys lol.

Hey, I like Wentz but he isn't getting the job done so you go with the hot hand. I have no problem with that.

I expected you be more skeptical of reports that don't come from Wentz, his agent, or the team

I was under the impression Wentz essentially has to like where he's headed to because he'd need to agree to the restructure of his contract in order for him to be traded in the first place

And if the Eagles try to send him to a sh-t hole team like they did to Nick to Fisher's Rams, he could refuse the trade and just sit on the bench and play Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe on his tablet while getting paid $24 mil. or whatever it is. Wouldn't that be a great look for Jeffrey and Howie? You KNOW cameras would find him.

I want a better pick but i have no faith that the current FO will use the pick wisely

And then requested a release when the team drafted a QB and he wasn’t the guy anymore.

But only Wentz is soft and mentally weak.

Forgot about that.

I'd be skeptical if it came from someone random.  When it comes from Adam Schefter, you can pretty much bank on it.

Wentz can't block a trade.

He can't "refuse" a trade by refusing to play.  Not unless he's willing to forego his remaining $50M/2yrs of guaranteed money.  He'll have to at least go through the motions to collect the rest of his cash.

I used to say when he was the Eagles QB under Chip that he was good enough to win a SB.  He was a streaky QB who could get hot.  He reminded me a little of Joe Flacco minus the strong arm.  If Flacco can win a SB then Foles could too.  Never thought he would actually do it.

Hmmmm....I wonder who this is a shot at?

I don't have faith in our front office either.  I do have faith that the higher you pick, the better odds of getting good players, no matter how bad you are at picking.

But he can block a contract restructure which would make it hard to trade him

Disagree 100%.  Fools gold.  Getting waxed in the playoffs this year means almost nothing in the long term.

1 minute ago, Asg 15 said:

He can still be traded just fine w/out a restructure.   The team trading for him inherits a 4 yr / $98M contract, with only the first two years guaranteed, which is around 2 yrs / $49M.  That's a great deal for a "franchise QB".
