Shanahan is missing his entire team and their offense is still better than ours.

Yup, a whole7 points in the first half. Obviously a great offense.

Be careful.  People will accuse you of not being a real Eagles fan if you prefer the Eagles get a better draft pick, which means losing to the oh so relevant Dallas Cowboys lol.

I don't agree with it but I can see how some fans want better draft position (aka the team to lose, Smh).

But if you're actually rooting for Dallas to beat the Eagles this week, turn in your Eagles jersey or anything else related to the Eagles because quite simply, you're not an Eagles fan.  Sorry, not sorry.

Just thinking here some more waiting for tomorrow's game.  This is Mailata's 3rd year so he's eligible for an extension soon no?  I think they hype is real.  Some is overblown but it's also legit.  The Eagles young core is very very dismal.  Should they look to extend him this offseason before his value hopefully climbs even higher?

Who else can they and should they extend?  Josh Sweat, Dallas Goedert, Barnett?  All 3 have injury questions even though Sweat is missing his first game I belive this weekend.

The way this team does things they will most likely extend Maddox before the rest.

My post didn't have the word great. They're better than the Eagles offense in almost every statistical category.

Except points. You left out points, which is a pretty important statistical category.

I stand by that.  No Eagles fan should be rooting for Dallas to beat the Eagles this week. :Eagle_smiley:

Jordan Hicks has almost the same amount of tackles his last two seasons in Arizona then he had his four seasons in Philly.

Lurie should pay Hicks a fee just to ask him how the Cards strength and conditioning coaches keep him healthy, while the Eagles coaches never have their players ready for football season

Points too Niners have the edge.

Didn't we put up more than 7 points in the first half last week?

Own your stupid comment.

No. Eagles restructuring him makes it harder to trade him. The only thing they and Wentz could do is agree to push the roster bonus back to a different date other than 3rd day of the new year

I took it that he needed to restructure because of this post

On 12/14/2020 at 2:24 PM, Iggles_Phan said:

You don't.   Team trading for him would look to restructure his contract immediately upon acquiring him.   If Wentz wants out and a restart elsewhere, he'll take it. Remember... he's already gotten the signing bonus from the Eagles.  He's due $35M from the Eagles in new money from the Eagles.  But, he might take less (and significantly less) to get out of here if he's unhappy with Doug and Co. and they are back.  Why would he want to stay?     But, from the Eagles' side... they are stuck either way.

The negotiation tactic from the Eagles side is, we'd be willing to move him for "X + Y" if you take the trade before this bonus hits... but if the bonus hits... We are going to need "X + Y + Z".  So, the price goes up if the Eagles have more sunk costs in Wentz.   Who knows what his value is right now though?

But, I don't see a trade as viable, as the Eagles would still need to be under the cap.  I just don't see a way to make that happen without a Wentz restructure of some kind.

I turned on that NFL game for 5 mins.  Saw enough.  I’d rather watch low level bowl games.

Well that makes me feel better that it’s not on.

Niners average more ppg than the Eagles do. And total yards. And YPG. You said the Eagles score more points. They don't.

That's ok. They want to forget that Hurts transferred to OSU after being beaten out by a freshman. But he's not soft.

Most of you forget that year he spent quietly backing up Tua after being benched in the NC and not causing a stir.

Against the Cardinals?

That was your point, that the 9ers looked better against the Cardinals this week than we did last week.

It was a dumb comment, and now you are moving goalposts and trying to gaslight. Just admit you said a dumb thing. It's no big deal. Get on with your life.

Who cares about Dallas?  They've been irrelevant for a quarter of a century.  Eagles fans seriously have PTSD from 30-50 years ago.

No, that wasn't my point. I said the Niners with more injuries have a better offense than the Eagles. Which is backed up by total yards, yards per game, and points per game.

You can apologize for being wrong and/or saying you misunderstood my point at any time. That would be the adult thing to do.

His career is very strange. He's got his gear in the hall, he has a pro bowl, he's won a SB and was MVP all while on the same team but different times(with different coaches too). He can't stay healthy and only has bursts of good games. Very strange

I want a better draft pick by any means 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure it's fair to judge any QB's performance under Jeff Fisher.  I'm starting to feel that way about Doug as well.  Remember when Gurley said that HS teams ran more complicated game plans than the Rams did?  That's what I'm seeing with the Eagles currently.

@Ace Nova is a truly intelligent and insightful poster.  You would do well to agree with him far more often mike.

But as amazing of a poster as he is, even he can get things wrong.  Like this.

Nobody's perfect! 😂

You are obviously a young fan, and in a very small minority.

I believe @Iggles_Phan is saying they need to restructure Wentz to get under the cap. You can’t trade if you are over so they would need to come up with the money first and it’s too great of a gap to do it without a Wentz restructure. But once you restructure him it makes it harder to trade him because you take on more dead money.

Yeah that's not happening.  We definitely can get under the cap by making moves elsewhere.  By no means are we forced to restructure Wentz to get under the cap.

We'll have no issues trading him assuming some team actually wants him.

My main point is Wentz doesn’t and can’t really restructure with the Eagles to make a trade happen. Most he can do is push the date back for his bonus. Technically I guess he could give up the bonus all together but I don’t see that being realistic.

Finally a team with a worse WR group than the Eagles
