Some of you guys are gonna be melancholy when Hurts isn’t in Philly next season

I don’t know if early signs say he’s better. However I rather have Jalen hurts to work with then Kyler Murray. Said that last week after the game. I’ve always been of the thought that I didn’t think Kyler Murray coming out of college was as great as everyone made him out to be. Early on in the season he kind of swayed me a little from what I originally had as he was playing at a really high level. But since that Hail Mary, he has gone the opposite way. back to what I kind of thought. Which is murray was going to be inconsistent as a thrower and if didn’t improve from the pocket the league would catch up to him. I think his overall size hurts him in this area so you have to get him on the move. While people wanted to compare him to Russell Wilson. There’s only one Russell Wilson. So I think it’s foolish that people thought because Wilson was that great that he would ultimately be that type of player. It is really hard to match what Russell Wilson does at his size. Very few do

hurts has better size and I think in terms of football IQ he is a smarter player than Murray. I think Murray is a better athlete. Terms of accuracy murray is better at the moment than hurts but he also saw about a 4% jump this year having Hopkins. I think hurts with better receivers would be closer to 60-62.

Frankly I don’t think either one of them has great coaching at the moment. Kingsbury imo is completely overrated. If Sean McVay didn’t do what Sean McVay has done then I don’t think kingsbury has a job. Really has done a poor job adapting from early season until now.  Teams have adapted and figured them out and he hasn’t done a very good job of adjusting to those adjustments teams have made. It’s why since that Hail Mary the Cardinals have really struggled. Again some of those stats because of garbage time

Eagles 32

Cowboys 27

Nick Foles took less money (a paycut) to get out of Jacksonville and go to Chicago. It does happen.

He’s Doug Flutie basically. Makes some great plays but not overly impressed.

People get impressed with his stats cause of fantasy football. When you watch him play down the stretch here it’s really been uninspiring. He was a big reason why the eagles were still in that game with his fumble and horrible int. From that bills game onward has had 13 overall tds and 7 turnovers. Has only 2 games where he didn’t have a turnover in that stretch. Furthermore the Rams game he had a garbage time TD and receptions to improve his completion percentage and against the eagles he played against a makeshift secondary. So it looks better than it probably should.

I agree on Eagle game, yet he was player of week. Watched their game vs Pats and they made him stay in pocket and throw and he was brutal. He gets running lanes he gets big chunks at times.

The Rams game they made him play from the pocket and ditto with the Second Seahawks game in Seattle. Their offense for large portions of the game struggled. Because they didn’t give him running lanes. If you keep him in the pocket you have a much better chance at holding the Cardinals to under 24 points. This game, patriots game, the second Seahawks game and even the Rams game(touchdown down 17 in the last 3 minutes). He really struggled to have their offense to sustain drives. The Giants game I didn’t think they were overly great on offense as much as the Giants offense couldn’t do anything and gave them great field position all day long

Doesn’t change the cap hit for the team trading the player though

Nick Foles is a one of a kind though. The man is a Saint.

It would be pretty fascinating if Hurts winds up better than both Mayfield and Murray.

Say Hurts looks impressive these last two games and someone offers up a 1st round pick for him in 2021. Should the Eagles consider it? I'm honestly not sure anymore.

Would be a big loss for Dallas.

Worst thing to happen to sports from a dialogue standpoint.   Box score scouts become convinced they know stuff because their fake team won a fake championship, because their QB puts up an extra 150 yards and 2 TDs in garbage time to give the fancy owner the win, while that QB lost the real game.

He needs a stepladder to be able to see from inside the pocket.

I don’t care where they were drafted, the bar for being better than Baker Mayfield and Murray is going to be pretty low.

Hurts’ upside better be a lot better than those two if he’s going to the qb of the future.

Nope.  Been an Eagle, a Ram, a Chief, an Eagle again, a Jag and now a Bear.  Never a Saint.

Going back to College, a Spartan and then a Wildcat.

If you think he’s the next great qb here, you don’t trade him for anything.

If you don’t but are surprised and intrigued by what he showed this year, you take the pick.

I like fantasy football from the aspect it allows you to learn about a lot of different players all over the league and go watch them after the fact to see how they did it and if they are legitimate. But people look at statistics of quarterbacks particularly murray and think oh he’s played great all year. But if you actually watch the Cardinals since that Hail Mary play he has regressed since then outside of the game he played us. And even in that game he had bad plays. Like that interception was awful. in this game today his interception was bad and batted ball late was because he looked at his receiver the entire way through the route.

I actually went to a Cardinals game against the Panthers last year out here in Arizona. It is amazing when you watch him in the huddle how much smaller he is compared to their compared to everyone else.  I left that game thinking to myself there’s no way he’s going to survive 16 weeks of where he’s running as much as he has. Furthermore I really didn’t come away all that impressed with his passing. I didn’t think Carolina was good last year defensively.

Don’t get me wrong I still think he’s better than a majority of the league. But I don’t think his upside is Russell Wilson like people have anointed him to be. I don’t see the Cardinals winning a Super Bowl with him unless he makes a dramatic jump as a passer. Like there is no reason with the Cardinals play makers being as healthy as they are and they’re all wine is particularly healthy as well that this team only scored 12 points against San Francisco

One of my favorite memories while he was here in Tucson was getting to play late night basketball with him at Mckale and the rec center. Nicest and most genuine guy you’ll ever meet. Nick folk the kicker also a great personality.

Tua benefited from elite position players surrounding him.  Good dude, not worthy of a top pick for sure.  He will be a marginal NFL starter.
