Todd Gurley scored a touchdown and got crap for it. I’m guessing people are going to give crap for Josh Jacobs not scoring a touchdown that could’ve put them up by seven with a 2 point conversion. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t if you have a bad defense.

I would’ve went for the touchdown with just over a minute. Get the two so probably at worse the dolphins could tie unless they went for 2. Frankly even if you didn’t get the 2 you make them have to score a touchdown. I think it’s far easier for a team to get into field-goal range with a penalty and kick a field goal to win it then it is for them to go 75 yards with no timeouts and score a touchdown. 

then again with 19 seconds left all your defense has to do is not let somebody get behind you and the Raiders did that.

Gurley was a dumb mistake by himself.  He was told in the huddle not to score.  He didnt do what he was supposed to do.  Jacobs did what he was told.  It's on Gruden if there is any criticism.

The problem was not the Raiders Offensive call. It was the DC calling a cover 2 soft zone in that situation. you know they need to go deep sideline with no timeouts. The defense called a play that left that one spot they needed weak. if Im the Raiders, im firing the DC tonight.

The Raiders did the right thing to wind the clock down and take the FG.

There is no excuse for letting them get into FG range with barely any time left and no timeouts left.  Leaving a guy wide open and committing a penalty on top of that is ridiculous.  They deserve to be eliminated from the playoffs.

Honestly if Atlanta‘s defense cannot hold somebody with 1 minute, no timeouts and 75 yards to go then you deserve to lose. There is no reason your defense should allow somebody to just go down the field 75 yards to beat you in less than a minute. Like your defense has to be really bad

don’t get me wrong gurley deserves blame for scoring so they could’ve just kick the field goal and win it. However I am just as PO mad at at my defense for not being able to make a stop 40 seconds left in the game

I think Derek Carr is pretty good. I think with a coach like McVay, Shanahan or Belichick he'd be a top 10 QB.

I think the Raiders are going to stupidly get rid of him in the offseason for Mariota or to draft some stiff and give Carr away to a coach who will coach him up, and he's going to look elite, and the Raiders will look like idiots.

This reminder me of the Tampa Bay game years ago. Westbrook incredible catch and Run. We do dumb squib Kickoff. McDougle unsportsmanlike penalty for kicking flag. Matt F’ing Bryant kicking 62 yarder. F___ I’m still pissed.

He’s been coached up a lot. He’s gone from bad to average.

I think there’s a case to be made either way. I would’ve went with the touchdown just because If i got myself a seven point lead the worst thing the Dolphins could do is just tied the game or forced to score a touchdown. 

I don’t have a problem with them doing it that way I’m just more comfortable having a seven point lead with a minute left then knowing all they have to do is get a Hail Mary penalty and they are in field goal range for a win.

I just meant in general people are going to give Josh Jacobs crap because they think it was him. Particularly people who play fantasy football and probably could’ve use that touchdown. My point was more I think the Raiders are going to get crap for not scoring a touchdown. I’m fine going about it either way. I just personally like to have a seven point lead with one minute left then just to where a field-goal can still beat me if somebody does something stupid like they just did. If you were able to get the clock all the way down I’m more for not scoring.

Me too. But, if this was Eagles and he scored and left time on clock for other team and they went down and scored. This place would be nuts.

Oh it definitely would be. However I’d be more pissed off at my defense then anyone tbh. Like if you can’t get a stop with a team with no timeouts and a minute left down by seven or with 19 seconds and up two and can’t get a stop then I’m way more pissed off at my defense.
