99.9% of fans would be upset at the defense.  There is no way the Raiders should have lost.

That’s really my point. Whether they scored a touchdown or kick the field goal there’s no way the Raiders defense should be that bad where they lose that game. They lost that game because their defense sucks and their defensive coordinator doesn’t know what he’s doing. Even if they didn’t get the  Facemask penalty it was ridiculous that hollins got that open. Even if the penalty wasn’t called there’s an opportunity to kick a 57 your field goal and win that game.

I think Derek Carr is pretty good. I think with a coach like McVay, Shanahan or Belichick he'd be a top 10 QB.

I think the Raiders are going to stupidly get rid of him in the offseason for Mariota or to draft some stiff and give Carr away to a coach who will coach him up, and he's going to look elite, and the Raiders will look like idiots.

There was someone on the old board that was a huge fan of Carr. Can't remember the name

Well, that buffoon shouldn’t be laughing at anyone to be honest. They might’ve just stole a page from his playbook.

Gregg did the Jets a favor calling that play and getting the loss. Jets HC was a moron for winning last week, lol. Im sure Joe is a bit upset for that win. He wont admit of course. Gase will be gone after the season and if not, he gets half a season next year. I think Joe Douglas though is just giving him the season and moves on from Gase.

This game is a perfect example why QBs should not have W-L records.  Tua I believe gets credit for a W but Fitz was the one that put them ahead and won the game.

I agree.  Anybody complaining about not taking the TD is just making excuses after the fact.  Either way they should have won.

I’m surprised the Jets didn’t fire gase after that win. Because you know what they were trying to do. I have a couple friends who are Jets fans and I don’t know how they deal with that.

Hollins had a big drop near the goal line not too long ago.

Also, the Raiders blew coverage and left Hollins open by 10 yards. Not exactly a tough catch.

That one play was more than he ever did here

Ish like this is why I absolutely hate the OMG WE SHOULD'VE TAKEN METCLAFZZZ OR JEFFERSONSZZZ talk

Guys we wrote off as irredeemable scrubs are making plays for their new teams.   At the very least, they're making more plays than they ever made here.

But let's continue to blast guys like Wentz and JJAW, by all means

The problem was not the Raiders Offensive call. It was the DC calling a cover 2 soft zone in that situation. you know they need to go deep sideline with no timeouts. The defense called a play that left that one spot they needed weak. if Im the Raiders, im firing the DC tonight.

Again?

Gruden should get roasted for not scoring the TD late in the game.  The "slide down and don’t score a TD thing” is a good premise, if.  A) you’re not BEHIND in the game, and.  B) you can actually run out the clock by doing it.  Gruden was putting the team in double jeopardy

His kicker had just missed an XP five minutes beforehand, yet he’s putting his season on the line asking him to make a FG for him.  Instead of having Carr take a knee on 3rd down, just have Jacobs blast into the end zone; if he doesn’t make it, then you can kick the FG on 4th down.  Either way, pretty risky to choose to go ahead by 2 points there

As soon as the Dolphins hit that pass I thought to myself "A Jacobs TD would have come in really handy right now.”  Just dope-ery from Gruden

Eagles haven’t scored 30+ points in a game all season.  I’ll be impressed if Hurts can put up 30 in Dallas — who, for some reason, always gives the Eagles offense trouble

The Eagles offense hadn't done a lot of things until they made the switch to Hurts. I think it'll be a bit of a shoot out to be honest and could go either way with both teams scoring near 30 points.

I mean going back many years.  The Eagles haven’t swept DAL since 2011, and only scored 30+ points in 3 of the last 15 meetings

Fair point. They certainly gave them a beat down in 2017 though... And to be fair the second game we played Sudfeld.

I believe they mentioned they did fire their DC this past week lol.

It's a combination of speed/impatience. Dallas is a rush 4, drop 7 team. They generally play fast, but force offenses to either make tight-window throws or be patient running the ball against their 2 man shells. Both New Orleans and Arizona couldn't stop our running game with 2-high looks. If Dallas plays 2-high all game, we'll win. What they should do is play a ton of dime with 8 in the box. Jordaun Lewis is a versatile box DB (their version of Malcolm Jenkins) who can spy Hurts or matchup with RBs in coverage.

This is a game where we should have 40 called runs between Hurts/Sanders/Scott. But it's Doug, so....

Only caught the last few minutes of last night game.  The ex-Eagle WR did well on that TD, showing speed and awareness to get open.  He was doing well with the Raiders.  Wonder why out coaches could not get him to perform at a high level when he was here.

Because we’re a poorly coached team that is lead by a dope as a HC. People just want to put it all on Wentz.  But it’s a lot of players and issues.  You think Justin Jefferson would have the year he’s had if we drafted him instead of Reagor?   I sure as hell don’t.

He might have been better than Reagor because he's a better route runner but he would have no where near the stats he has in Minn
