Hurts is clearly a quicker study than is Wentz. It took Wentz 3.5 seasons under Doug to get to this level of suckage. It only took Hurts 3.5 games.

Texans play the Titans and Falcons play the Bucs. Im not expecting us to have pick number 3

If we want Chase then we need to lose and Texans need to win. Otherwise we won't get him without trading up which we are in no position to do. I can't see Miami passing on him

Maybe both QBs stink.

I don't believe in tanking for any significant period of time because it doesn't jive with creating a winning culture. In the NFL especially it just doesn't work; the closest thing maybe was the Colts with Andrew Luck, but that had just as much to do with Curtis Painter not being an NFL player.

But for one week? You're damn right I'm sitting half the team and giving Boston Scott 30 carries.

12 penalties 115 yards= Undisciplined team, which in turn= Poorly coached/prepared team.

It's a different story when you've been mathematically eliminated and half your starting team is injured.  I don't believe in tanking either and I'll always root for them to win...but at this point, they would be better suited to see what the younger guys can do and maybe give some of the banged up veterans some rest, imo.

Who cares about last throw. He probably anticipated someone reading route different. I’m not gonna kill him just cuz guys that hate Wentz would go nuts.

Yeah but It must be so mentally taxing for Hurts because of the whole situation. 👀

I kid of course and I agree with you. I haven’t read much yet in here, but the play calling on both sides of the football were egregious. Any pedestrian football fan could see that McCarthy and Nolan clearly outcoached this team. As little faith as I had in them to begin with, I still never thought they were this bad.

'I'm part of the solution moving forward' lol, oh Doug...you're gone.

I think the fact we are seeing players leave Philly and having success on other teams will show Howie picked people who can have success if coached right. Plus the fact of how we has had success with UDFA's and signing some productive practice squad players. If anything they will hire an advisor again.

Like I said in the GDT, an advisor is just a fancy title for a Human Howie Shield. Someone for Howie to pass the buck onto when picks fail.

If everyone here wants Chase, we might actually benefit from staying right where we are. If we move up any higher, I have a feeling Howie will go another position.

For one, because JJAW and Reagor were his picks and taking another WR in the first two rounds would essentially means he'd have to admit he made bad picks, which he'd never be able to do with his ego.

And he may be tempted to take Zach Wilson from BYU.

So right now at #5 we are kinda right in that sweep spot for Chase.

One good thing to come out of this game is that Quez Watkins looks like he could be a player.   Now that we've been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, he should be getting more snaps/targets...as well as Fulgham, imo.

What did you see from him that tells you that?  He had one catch on a broken play.  And one other reception.  He might be.  But, we have very little evidence of that based on actual play.

No, Doug.  You are part of the problem they need to fix.

The entire organization is a mess.

Howie is going to get the injury and covid excuses.

He will, sadly. But the cap position alone means he should be fired. But it requires Lurie to acknowledge his part in it and the rest has been dead on arrival all season. Old players being paid a ransom for what they did, not what they are is the no 1 bad thing a team can do.  We did it

The only scenario to at will make me unbelievably pissed is retaining Howie. At the very least, he has to go. He sucks.

And if Doug and the rest go, so be it. Maybe things have run their course here with Doug/Schwartz, but Howie cannot stay.

Howie is the ultimate survivor but he's reached the peak where he is now the impediment as the best won't want to join you, because word gets around.  Is he more important thsn the whole?

The Eagles orgs ego cannot mention the words rebuild, but its here and the long term priorities are now more important than the egos and personalities of the personnel in it.

F it. Keep Miliata healthy. Let Scott play LT.

Getting blown out like that by another bad team is the type of performance that costs people jobs. There’s no getting around. He needed Hurts to play well, but instead he fell apart.

It was among the worst game plans Pederson has come up with this year.  He also didn't continue to go with what was working (running plays and deep shots to Jackson in the 1st half) and failed to adjust once Dallas adjusted.  Bad game for Pederson.

I've also been a Schwartz defender but his game plan was abysmal.  How many times will you let Gallup burn you before you switch up the coverage?  He gets a pass because nearly the entire secondary is hurt but he certainly could have done better.

Don’t worry, we will still screw it up.

Drafting Chase will confirm he is not the best WR in the class.  The guy picked next will be.

Doug getting fired and Howie staying is actually more infuriating if they all stay. Because that would mean they scapegoated Doug to take the fall for someone who is objectively worse at his job.

Honestly, that would be worth boycotting the season over. It would not only be dumb, but it would just be such a dick move. Doug has been bad this season, but Howie has been horrendous for two straight years and Doug dragged Howie's trash to the playoffs the last 2 years.

Can we forfeit next week? Nothing good happens with a win.

I think they take Smith over Chase. Him and Tua already have a connection

Smith would be just fine as well

Last two weeks.  He needs a lot more snaps/targets but so far, he's looked decent when he's been in (including when he's not been targeted)
