This team needs TONS of talent.

And most importantly, they need to get HOWIE out of this.   He's been the constant since 2010.  Maybe there's a reason that our drafts pretty much suck all the time...  And if every other variable has been changed, but the results remain the same, only one variable is left and likely is the culprit.

It’s what is happening on the outside of the doors that is the problem.

Sure, but the reasons for the on field performance is a product of things we don’t see and have very little information about. If Lurie fires DP and keeps Howie, perhaps Lurie will have made this decision based on an actual information advantage over beer guzzling blowhard fans.

Crazy idea, I know...

Everyone should surround the stadium with "Fire Everyone” signs

Likely would get arrested for not social distancing.

That would be less embarrassing than what we just witnessed.

My thoughts on QB situation is you put both on the market and take the best offer and roll with the other.

Wentz is completely unreadable because of his contract. It’s just not going to happen so don’t even bother entertaining the idea.

I will have you know I have been drinking scotch.

The Texans and Falcons losses today were especially frustrating. They had both games.

On the bright side, there are 4 QBs, 2 franchise OL and Chase. As long as we're picking at 6, we're either getting an elite player or a trade down.

Or was Lurie with Bob Kraft down in Florida?

The entire secondary needs to be overhauled. You can't rely on UDFAs and mediocre free agent signings like NRC. We have no depth at safety at all and desperately need a CB2.

they need 2 corners and safeties , 3 backers a stud DE and that doesn't even touch what they need on offense. with all those needs and in cap hell means hitting on all draft picks , oh boy we have howie the ass clown

Falcons have choked away 3 or 4 games this year

I'd add Devonta Smith to that list

nobody is untradeable. There has been plenty of smoke the last couple of weeks about teams being interested.

Probably a middling blend... :P

This team needs the 1st rounder to actually contribute in the first game and be a stud

Don’t hold your breath on that one.  Our first rounders all get enlisted in the 3 year plan to become a role player.

Reagor and Dillard are on their way.

Or... maybe Lurie made the decision based on an unhealthy attachment to the guy that always seems to find a way to insulate himself from the actual decisions.   If Howie gets credit when it all goes right (2017), then Howie takes the blame when it all comes crashing down around him (pretty much every move since then).

Cap management - worst situation of any team in the Eagles predicament.
Draft and young talent pool - completely empty.

What part of being a GM has Howie succeeded at since 2018?  We are older, more expensive, more injury prone and less competitive, and frankly, there's no bright lights on the horizon where we might think that things could turn around quickly.  Do we have young players worth building around?

Sanders?   Nope.  Building around a RB is a losing proposition, especially since he's struggled to stay healthy in his 2 seasons.  He's not a long term solution.

Goedert?  Missed some time too, but does a team build around a TE?

QB?  Big question mark.  The coaches that Howie forced on Doug (Doug said that Groh would be back) have broken the one that they are invested in financially, and Hurts sure doesn't look like the answer either.  At least not with Doug pulling the strings.

Defensive pieces?   Not one.  Maybe a couple that are nice players, but none that are foundational like Cox, Graham and Jenkins were.

What do they have to build around that HOWIE is responsible for?    Not a good cap situation.  No young studs on a cheap contract.  Just a roster of overpaid, old players and a bunch of JAGs and 'maybe some day's.

BTW... I never, ever 'guzzle' beer.  Thank you very much.

No, he is literally untradeable because of his contract.

To trade Wentz would accelerate almost $80 million in dead cap space and cause a $60 million cap hit.

A team could offer us every draft pick they have for the next 5 years. It wouldn’t matter. We can’t do it because of the cap.

Good thing for all these guys that 0 fans are allowed in the stadium for the final game.

I think they should put paper bags over the heads of the cardboard cutouts.

Savage is a beast. Man I hope the Eagles find some gems like that in the draft.

I'm hoping we have a new GM that gets to use the top 5 pick where spot it is. I fully expect Howie to get some project in the 1st round that's has "upside" but wont contribute to the team in 2021 unless there's an injury(which there likely will be) and he'll be just thrown in

Welp.   Practice squad looked like practice squad today.  The four hundred false starts by Pryor must be an NFL record.   No playoffs, Doug.  Play nothing but young guys next week except where the numbers require otherwise.  Jeffery, DJax, Cox inactive.

We would've had some of these gems if it wasn't for Howie

I figured it out... those numbers are what the cost would have been pre-June 1 to cut him at the beginning of 2020.
