This season has real 2015 vibes. Band-Aid veteran acquisitions, no creativity, soft tackling and just a whole lack of energy.

Sure does. We are paying for that 2017 season which seems like a fluke at this point.

What plays call is Doug supposed to design where Wentz won't be erratic with his accuracy. Stop making excuses for the 32 million dollar man.

I was going to say the same thing. His passing has been erratic for the first two games now. It doesn't matter what plays you call when the QB is throwing too high or low.

So... let's say we get a top 5 spot in the draft next year. What do we do? What position do we go? Because I'm scratching my head big time.

Trade back. We need way too much.

The people blaming Doug don't want to admit that Wentz isn't who they thought he was. Doug was horrible last week. He was more than fine this week.

Same plays that Goff had called for him today.  Was Goff on target with all his passes from the pocket?  Carson made some good throws today.  Some not so good.  But at least call an offense helps him.  How many times does it need to be said - standing Carson like a lead weight 8 yards deep on the same exact spot every time he passes isn't working, so like all geniuses, just keep doing it?  Hammer.  Round hole.  Square peg.  Pound until it fits?

DE or OT. Fairly simple

Got to be DE right? Give Dillard more time. But what about QB? 😉

May need to start restocking the O-Line again. QB and RB won't be picked. TE, no, and not WR. Whoever is the QB, we need to rebuild the wall in front of them.

OL perhaps though I'd start going DE and DL too I think.

I wouldn't be so sure there bud.

I was thinking 2012. Just feels like a "the end of an era” season.

This is the type of games the Eagles usually win under Doug. In 2012 the Eagles weren’t looking good and came off the bye vs Atlanta in a game they usually win and got destroyed. These two losses give me similar vibes.

Id rather stay and get a better chance at a great player. Trading back to get more picks at lessor talent? We struggle as is with picks outside the top 10.

Dont forget there is really no true college season this year. Scouting will be more difficult then ever. Take the player with a higher chance at a successful career with the top 5 pick.

I'd bet OLine.

I hope you're wrong. I mean don't get me wrong it is a need but that DL looks bad. DE is a major issue.

The Eagles have scored 3 total points in the the 2nd half through the first 2 games of the season and have been outscored 36-3.

LMAO, you are in denial. Maybe Doug can call a play where Carson doesn't force a ball into double coverage in the end zone when the momentum was starting to shift.

Defensively, the poor tackling was my biggest concern. We know Gerry stinks, but we shouldn’t give up chunks of yards because we can’t bring down a ball carrier.

Pretty funny to read some of the dialogue in here.  I forecasted a 30-20 loss today because there was too much to clean up from the Week 1 debacle.  What people didn't seem to notice last week in their grief over all the sacks was that the defense gave up 27 points to one of the worst offenses in the NFL:

-- Nate Gerry can't play; he's a liability out there and the Rams went at him as often as they could.  Football is a game of personnel matchups, and .... career day for Higbee

-- NRC was simply dreadful.  He played for the Rams, and we saw today why the Rams let him go.  He was dazed and confused the entire first half, and the comments on Gerry above can apply to Coleman as well

-- A LOT of money tied up in this DL and they got absolutely whipped today.  Goff was under VERY little pressure and the Rams ran the ball almost at will.  Very concerning

The offense was responsible for the loss to WASH; the defense was responsible for the loss today.  A few positive things:

-- Reagor can be thrown the ball on shorter than 50-yard patterns.  Wasn't sure after Week 1

-- They targeted Jackson more today and he was open a lot

-- The OL held up very well; didn't give up any sacks today I don't believe

-- Miles Sanders played well overall, but his early fumble was a killer.

All of you guys crapping on Wentz, yet giving Zach Ertz a free pass should give your heads a shake -- the guy looks like he just doesn't care out there.

Dline could look better under a new DC with a more creative scheme. Honeslty depends on where we pick and BPA. Im not reaching for any position. Take the best player o matter what position. With the draft this year going to be so tough, I wouldnt mind trading away some picks to move up for that special player

There’s no way Lurie moves on from Doug or Wentz after this year.

COVID will buy them at least one more try next year.

I could see him making Doug fire Schwartz and hire a big name OC.

There were extenuating circumstances in 2018 and 2019 due to injuries that neutered our offense and at times the defense.

There were no excuses today. Wentz had the OL, running game and health to flourish today. He missed too many simple plays at crucial times.

couple of things i'll point out , just my thoughts here.

1- nate gerry has been here 2 years to long.

2- howie and doug promised after the super bowl that winning was the new norm here , they have failed to upgrade the teams weak positions at that time and have let the teams strong positions get weak with no depth.

3- the team has no talent evaluators so no matter where u pick it will be a reach player or bust.

4 buckle up my eagle friends , were in for a ride and it's going to be rough.

5- i will be all in for the ride , not a bandwagon rider.

The defense couldn’t get a stop in the RZ, but that really was the only black mark last week. They played well. The O hung them out to dry.

Jim is on his final year of contract. Firing is not needed. Jim was not coming back no matter what unless he had a top 5 defense which was never going to happen

Bad throw.  Not in denial.  Bad coach.  Success breeds success.  Doug is infertile.

So it's Doug's fault Wentz is terrible. Doug, the same coach who won a SB with Nick Foles who hasn't won anything anywhere else. Versus Wentz, the guy who hasn't won a single playoff game. GTFO with your Wentz apologist BS. Vince Lombardi isn't helping Wentz right now with his horrendous decision making and lack of accuracy.

First thing I do is fire the defensive coordinator

Second thing I do is mandate to Doug, get someone in here that is innovative on offense and let him run it, you manage the team

Third thing I do is thank Howie for 2017 but tell him he is no longer in charge of personnel only contracts and the cap

Fourth thing I do is go after the smartest mind in the Baltimore front office and make him GM

That was for the front office....regarding players:

I'm trading any and everyone that is tradable, from Ertz to Cox to our kickers and stockpiling as many draft picks as possible.

For the record, if some team offered an mid/early 1st for Wentz this offseason I'd take it and run.

And then I'd axe Pederson the next day.
