Didn't expect that from a playoff team

He should’ve been released last week when he went to the strip club. The fact that they gave him the starting position after doing something that idiotic was amazing. Like his performance didn’t justify keeping him and then he’s going to go do dumb things off the field when the NFL has made it known not to do that. He should have been gone the moment that came out. You had his awful performance and seeing his immaturity to do what he did to justify that release last week.

that said eagles FO rationale tells me...... bring him in quarterback factory!!!!!!!

Not surprised at all. Rivera falls in the compromised category with COVID having gone through cancer treatment and Haskins going to a strip club was a slap in the face to him and a huge risk. Probably the most disrespectful thing you can do, let alone as a quarterback and the supposed leader of a team.

@Iggles_Phan

Not too shabby for the young fellow....

Doug keeps mentioning the young guys yet he's been playing the old guys for awhile

Well he did beat Wentz, I think last year too

An angle I’m going to be pushing heavily come March and April: draft capital is overrated. So many people are obsessed with amassing large swaths of draft picks. Trading down, getting more picks.

The goal of the draft, any draft, is to get blue chip talent. Difference makers. If the Eagles have to trade up two spots to get Chase and it costs a 2nd rounder, you do it. I don’t care how pricy that is. At least we’ll get a can’t miss stud out of it.

Look, I get that technically no player is can’t miss because technically anyone can be a bust, but I’d rather have a draft class with only 4 players picked, 3 of whom become long-term starters, than a 10 player draft class, where 2 get cut after training camp, and all but one of the rest are mediocre.

I’m tired of the geeking out of 10 player drafts where almost all the players suck. Get special talent. Period. They need to come out of this draft with a blue chip player. This team has so little young difference making talent. That needs to end starting this upcoming draft.

Easily the most infuriating part about his quote.

I wasn't on the fire Doug wagon until yesterday. I'm already to the point of graduating to driver.

QB Bo Levi Mitchell (2x CFL MVP) will tryout with the Giants | Big Blue Interactive

With our luck, the concussion that Mailata has will cause him to forget half of the stuff he's learned since starting to play football and it will take him 2 years to get it back.

Also, something I think we can collectively agree on is that Matt Pryor cannot be on the team next season.

There's a significant list of those guys.

I try to keep my sense of humor even in a bad season lol

Your binky has been getting worse for 3 years in a row leading to this years dumpster fire performance.  You have excuses for 12 games of abject failure by your boy, who is in his 5th season, while frothing at the mouth to finally talk smack when the rookie has one bad game.

This team isn’t run by Carson addicts and lovers like you.  By all means continue indulging delusions that your beloved "franchise qb” will have a glorious comeback here for the next few months until they ship his ass out.  Then it’s time for you to find that Colts board and shell out for that Indy #11 jersey and switch your allegiance.

and if the carson addicts are going to think that carson is going to change 180 if he gets traded is the same as ben simmons will just all of sudden shoot the ball if he gets traded, we changed coaches he still wont shoot the ball, it will the same outcome if the eagles changed coaches and carson will still pick his favorites to throw and get sacked.

I believe Torrey Smith tweeted something along the lines of, "I feel that Haskins is playing for his career" or something similar before the WFT game yesterday.  That tells you that these players definitely talk and know more than most about what's truly going on with players and teams.

It’s a shame that Driscoll got hurt because I thought he looked competent when he was out there. Herbig also looked better cause he looked better.

No doubt.  Then again, having a mannequin at RT might be an improvement.  At least the mannequin wouldn't draw any penalties.

I don't see this at all.  I hope you are right.  I don't see it.  As much as I loved Jefferson last year, I am skeptical of the intense love for Chase this year, especially with him sitting out a year.  He's a good prospect, but at top 5-6 I want a sure difference maker regardless of position.

When drafting in the top 8, you want to draft a blue-chip talent at a premium position. In our scheme, that'll never be Parsons. WR/OT/CB work for me.

Did anyone notice Hurts resort to hero ball at the end of the game? This team just breeds that in a quarterback.

When you have nothing around you... and you have the ball in your hands on just about every play... you need to do something.  So, you either curl up into a ball, or you try to do too much.
