What’s everyone’s prediction for GM, HC, and QB in week 1 of the 2021 season?

My thought...

GM: Howie but Dorsey gets some random title and is in charge of the draft

HC: Doug with Duce being a dark horse.

QB: Wentz

If thats the case get ready for another 4 or 5 win season.

Depends who the new coach is and if he wants to keep anyone or bring in a whole new staff.

Yeah obviously, but have any of the assistants done particularly well.  Stoutland continues to throw lines together, but how much of a hand did he have in holding Mailata back in favor JP?  The DL gets a majority of the talent, but at least Sweat started coming around.

The Fletcher Cox injury yesterday put DT right up there with which position is taken first in the draft

You fail the moment you compare a former number 2 overall pick 5th year QB making 100 million to a rookie 2nd round pick.

With 3 starts

In a league that emphasizes the passing game like never before, the Eagles' worst two units are arguably the WRs and the DBs.

Roster building, Howie Roseman style.

The fact that they thought Avonte Maddox was a starting outside CB pretty much tells you everything you need to know about how this team evaluates corners.

Jesus Christ man. No ones talking about purgatory. I told you I wasnt happy with a 9 win team. 9 wins is a good roster and thats the argument

No 9 wins is not a good roster. It means are slightly above average. And the only way they would’ve gotten to 9 wins is if they stayed relatively healthy which was a point I also made earlier in the season that their max is really not a great max as everyone staying healthy is not feasible. Being slightly above average is not good.

Good is 10 or more wins with an ascending roster. Not 9 wins praying everyone stayed healthy with a roster thats old and declining. A 9 win max ceiling with a healthy roster is not a good roster.

And the reason that will happen will be Howie #1 and Doug #2

I agree with number 1

Lol. 9 is above average. 10 is good. Got it lol. Sorry I was 1 win off on your chart lol.

Oh I’m sorry because when you go 8-8 and then you win one more game the next season you magically go from the definition of average to good by winning one more game. Got it by your standard Lol. I guess you have low standards for what is considered good in the league

How am I wrong on an opinion? It hasnt happened yet lol.

Every team coming in here asking about Wentz or Hurts KNOWS the Eagles have the back against the wall because 1) the Cap hit is idiotic and 2) the EAGLES HAVE TO get ride of one.

But if you go on to Bleeding green, The Athletic, ETC they all quote different sources, some anonymous and say the eagles are stuck between a rock in a hard place.

Let me ask you this, what team would give the Eagles a 1st tomorrow for Hurts.

Again the eagles have terrible cap issues regardless whether they trade a QB or not. Trading a QB doesn’t fix the cap issues.

The eagles don’t HAVE TO trade one of them. They can go into next year with both given the cap situation and let them battle it out. I sure hope they don’t but plenty of teams have done that before.

Everyone is saying that eagles are stuck between a rock and hard place because they have to decide on a QB controversy with a lot of unknowns. No one has said they can’t get at least a 2nd round pick for either of them.

QB is the most valuable position in all pro sports. There are probably 8-10 teams that are looking for a QB. There’s only 4 top prospects in the draft. One of the other 4-6 teams(Broncos, 49ers, lions, WTF, Patriots, Colts) could definitely trade a 2nd if not a 1st for a young QB like Hurts that’s on a super cheap contract and has shown some upside.

While I wouldn't be happy with some of these moves, these are the organizational changes I see happening:

-Howie stays

-Another Joe Douglas type is brought in to help Howie

-Doug is let go

-Schwartz isn't brought back

-Duce is new Head Coach

-Other than Duce and Stoutland, there's a complete purge of assistant coaches

-A real OC is brought in to handle play calling

Eagles trade Wentz and draft Zach Wilson. Let Hurts start until Wilson is up to speed.

Mass hysteria. TATE explodes.

Easily the most infuriating part about his quote.

I wasn't on the fire Doug wagon until yesterday. I'm already to the point of graduating to driver.

Wouldn't be surprised if he sticks with the older guys

Is Peters off IR? He's probably going to be the LT if Mailata can't go

Doug is constantly saying he'll do something but never does.

When you have nothing around you... and you have the ball in your hands on just about every play... you need to do something.  So, you either curl up into a ball, or you try to do too much.

Please explain this to the Wentz haters

I'll take 9 wins, if it gets one in the playoffs, wild card teams have won Superbowls.

9 wins is a winning record and gives one a chance.

Where as winning the division this year with 5 or 6 wins is just pointless as one will just get smacked in the playoffs by obvious better teams.

I dont give a rats a$$ who you compare. 50 drop backs is the magic number. A QB's winning percentage is dog sh!t when they drop back more than 50 times.

Our lord and Savior had 51 yesterday and looked like dog piss. Big Ben has had a couple 50 drop backs over the course of this year and looks like Dog Piss. Wentz, 50 drop backs. Dog Piss. Joe Burrow, 0-5 this year with 50 drop backs and it got him killed.

Outside of the ELITE..(rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes) these guys cant drop back 50 times no matter how good they are.

You prove time and time again that you are a straight up Fing moron.

I keep putting this stat out there, and if you don't agree with my #2, then Jalen Hurts is the problem.

Eagles have scored points on 2 of 18 second half possessions since Hurts became the starter.

Ok, so now the first is off the table and we've moved onto a 2nd.

I said a late 1st/early second from the start and that hasn’t changed.

Oh?  You don't say?  Hurts is a rookie?

I could have sworn someone in here said "Hurts will beat the breaks off the Cowboys"

No mention of his tenure or experience.  No qualifiers.  I wonder who said that?

Maybe the same dude who is now making a bunch of Wentzcuses for his play?

46 minutes ago, DawkinsOwnage03 said:

Well if that’s the case then we must start the 2017 almost mvp, top 10 franchise QB, next week to regain his team.

Nope, it's Hurts for the rest of the season.

Well, after yesterday's shitshow and today's aftermath, I managed to add only two to the ignore list.

What an all star line up it is!

the fun activity of looking at the WR groups around the league compared to the eagles still holds true from week 1 til now. Legitimately go look at all 31 other teams wide receivers and tell me which ones you say in 2020 are worse than the Philadelphia Eagles.

Just now, downundermike said:

No, that stat is a fact.

Record: 80-251-2 (Win% : 24%)

You, just like him completely missed the point. I was arguing something completely different and he came back with that which I never have or will dispute. Next.
