Lawrence isn't even a great college QB.  He misses throws ALL THE TIME.

He won’t miss the Heisman or National Championship this year my guy

I doubt it. He only played 1 year of CFB

He'd be my pick then if he's there in their range. Just watched some highlights, and he has incredible speed off the edge. Him and Sweat could be dynamite together.

Wentz is also the guy who over the past three seasons has thrown 81 TD to 21 INT.  So it's your position that the coaching is great and the player stinks?  Maybe the defenses just weren't trying the last 3 years -- and now they will

Please go find the post where I said the coaching is great. Until then save your typical strawman BS and STFU.

They've been outscored 64-19 in the last 95 minutes of football - gave up over 150 yards rushing, can't create a defensive turnover, offense is so simplistic that defenses call out plays before they are run, and Carson is the biggest problem?  He isn't playing well, but the only guy I saw play really well today was Sanders, and his fumble created their first TD.  Our 50 million dollar defensive tackle group was shredded.  Do we have the worst red zone D in the NFL?    Our linebackers aren't NFL quality.  Our Defensive Ends can't get pressure unless there is a stunt or maybe a coverage pressure.  Can't beat a playoff team giving them 37 points either.

Yes, I think he was the biggest problem. He’s contributing to the defense struggling by putting them in bad situations with drives that can’t be sustained and turnovers. Not that the defense has been great either, but they scored under 20 points in both games and he had multiple INTs in both games. That tells the story right there.

Sigh

The sad thing about today is the Rams gave the NFL tape on how to pick on Nate Gerry, and the Eagles will keep putting him out there because of his intangibles and ignore his tackling and the biting on misdirection.  He should be a ST captain and sub-package LB, and nothing more.

Lol what

I've watched him play quite a bit.  Good, not great.  Very Streaky, not consistent.

Nate Gerry is the key to getting Lawrence, he is the most important piece.

This is sad, and probably true. The broadcast team talked about the coaches screaming at the players about covering their man. The bit the cheese too often.

Did we even get a pressure on Goff?

I was just thinking about the same post.  And then thinking the same thing about Scangarello and Taylor.  Marty in theory brought across the Ravens playbook, but it must be delated in the USPS system

You make my point without even knowing it.  Doug played to Foles strengths.  He was open about it when Wentz got hurt and Foles stepped in.  Very open how he called plays to accentuate Foles abilities and stayed away from stuff where he struggled.  And it wasn't easy, the first few games were not pretty until Doug figured it out.  That is the point.  He changed the plan to help Foles, he's not doing that for Carson.  BTW, Chip Kelly made Foles a star before Doug, doing what?

So wait, Doug was a good coach with Foles but forgot how to coach when it came to Wentz. You are so full of crap and excuses for Wentz you can't help but keep doubling down. What about 2017 with Wentz. Wentz has regressed as a passer and decision maker for whatever reason. Blaming Doug for Wentz's inability to make simple decisions and throw with accuracy is laughable. It's like you either don't watch the games or have zero clue about football. Let me try this for the last time. No coaching or play calling in the world is going to make a QB become accurate or a good decision maker when they aren't either.

They already have 8 captains, no more room there!

He’s talented for sure, and a first round pick. I just think his rawness drops him some in the first. Teams will be reluctant on him, especially since opting out

It's just too easy to call out your stupidity -- sort of like taking candy from a baby.  You're exactly the type of fan a team doesn't need, nor want.

I’m almost with you, give me two more games to commit

As opposed to the fan who is too stupid to admit that Wentz is an elite franchise QB. Or the fan like you who quotes me calling someone out for making something up and then calling me stupid as a result. STFU.

I don't think the NFL needs tape on that.  I said after the Eagles acquired Slay that teams will now go after the Eagles LB group as the weak link of the defense.  It used to be an out-and-up was available against the Eagles CB anytime a team needed it; now they will go after man-to-man mismatches with TE and RB against the Eagles LB

Pretty funny to read some of the dialogue in here.  I forecasted a 30-20 loss today because there was too much to clean up from the Week 1 debacle.  What people didn't seem to notice last week in their grief over all the sacks was that the defense gave up 27 points to one of the worst offenses in the NFL:

-- Nate Gerry can't play; he's a liability out there and the Rams went at him as often as they could.  Football is a game of personnel matchups, and .... career day for Higbee

-- NRC was simply dreadful.  He played for the Rams, and we saw today why the Rams let him go.  He was dazed and confused the entire first half, and the comments on Gerry above can apply to Coleman as well

-- A LOT of money tied up in this DL and they got absolutely whipped today.  Goff was under VERY little pressure and the Rams ran the ball almost at will.  Very concerning

The offense was responsible for the loss to WASH; the defense was responsible for the loss today.  A few positive things:

-- Reagor can be thrown the ball on shorter than 50-yard patterns.  Wasn't sure after Week 1

-- They targeted Jackson more today and he was open a lot

-- The OL held up very well; didn't give up any sacks today I don't believe

-- Miles Sanders played well overall, but his early fumble was a killer.

All of you guys crapping on Wentz, yet giving Zach Ertz a free pass should give your heads a shake -- the guy looks like he just doesn't care out there.

I’ll agree with most of this besides the last thing. Ertz not caring is not true ... he may not be playing well. But, when at team is playing poorly it makes things appear even worse. But saying the guy doesn’t care isn’t fair.

The other stuff I agree with. Nate Gerry is/was considered our best LB. and well ... yikes.

Rams Scoring Drives today: 41 yards, 75 yards, 80 yards, 68 yards, 75 yards, 64 yards.

Rushing Yards: 191

1st downs: 30

3rd down conversions: 7-12  (Eagles were also 7-12)

Total yards - 449.

Carson had 1 TO today - costly, but if the defense holds there rather than giving up 16 play drive and points, maybe shifting the field position and giving the offense a short field..

Eagles kick a FG to make it 24-19 and the D gives up 3 play, 75 yard TD drive.

Plenty of blame to go around today.

I also think it's really stupid to use your only backup quarterback dressed as a decoy on trick plays.  Never know how someone can get hurt.

If you truly believe he's your backup quarterback, let him be a backup quarterback.

And another thing.  Van Jefferson has half as many career catches as JJAW.  JJAW is 18 games in.  Jefferson is 2.

Eagles should send a message and make Nate Gerry have to help JJAW go to the bathroom tomorrow

You know what, I changed my mind. It's all Doug's fault. Especially on the play call where Goedert was completely wide open for a TD and Wentz didn't see him.

Carson threw two picks today not one. I’m also tired of the if this or that happens.

McVay took Schwartz out to the woodshed today, just like Del Rio did to Pederson last week.

The Eagles coaches need to up their game.  I believe the offense is a work in progress with a lot of moving pieces -- at least it was better today than against WASH; the defense might just be BAD.
