Well, after yesterday's crap show and today's aftermath, I managed to add only two to the ignore list.

What an all star line up it is!

I dont wait, the minute they show their hands to be incapable of having an actual objective discussion, they go on ignore. That can manifest itself in a multitude of ways, name calling is always a dead giveaway, also saying stuff like: "Wentz was never any good", which, you know, requires a completely fictional alternate reality.

Life is too short.

No trade ups. We can’t afford to give up draft picks.

Sure.

I can’t believe they moved the last game to Sunday night. Yuck!

It will decide the NFC East division Title, that means fans from NY, Dall, Phi and Wash will all watch that game. If they put any other game on, and this game was over already, they would get less than 1/2 the viewership.

This is correct.  #1 reason, we currently have 52 players on the 2021 roster, and we are going to have to cut quite a few to get under the cap.

Why?  This team needs an offensive mind that plays to the strengths of the players and that has proven himself.  To me, Duce has proven that he's great at shuffling the rotation of the RBs, especially when one of them has the hot hand.

Lurie will want a guy he knows and trusts to build the right culture. He’ll be like a Tomlin and the coordinators will run the game

No.  That's where you defend your player and you call out the turd who cheap shotted your player and say that the league needs to handle their business.   That's how you lead.    Acting all 'Gee shucks' is a wimpy response.

For being such a players coach I was sure as hell surprised how placated he was in his response.

I’m not saying trade back. But to move up even a few spots is costly. How about we just get the picks right this time.

Just my personal belief we are in an offensive league. Even if you had two good corners you are still likely giving up around 20-24 points every week with the rules and against teams like the chiefs or packers likely giving up closer to thirty. I wouldn’t hate the pick but i think offensive talent in the top 10 is the way i would try to go. Whether that’s OL or WR or QB (depending on how you feel about the QB). If not one where we pick I’d look to trade down to get more draft picks to infuse young talent.

Unless it's Trevor Lawrence, I don't think I would be interested in any of the other guys.  None of them have more upside than Wentz, so I'd rather give him another shot with an functioning, capable offensive play caller.  I really liked Fields before this season, but I have soured on him a lot.  He was absolutely terrible against Northwestern, and Haskins currently isn't helping his cause very much.

Sewell seems to be the only consensus top 5 pick for OL.  I wouldn't hate it if he somehow fell to us, but I would not be excited.  Talk about a waste of resources and draft picks when you consider Mailata's development and trading up in the 1st 2 years ago for Dillard.  I'm all in on the WR train with that first pick.  Some people in here now have me nervous about that too.  Maybe they surprise us even more this year, ish their pants, and don't get the pick in on time like Minnesota did years ago.

Jacket lost the game for the Eagles yesterday, make no mistake about it.

Dude was trash. No, dude was worse than trash. He was a dumpster of trash from a sh itty Mexican restaurant the mixes their garbage with human waste because they have faulty plumbing and just have to do it that way. It's a sh itty job but Raul feeds his family doing it.

Not only do they mix the rancid, leftover refried beans, spoiled lettuce, and moldy cheese mixed with human excrement, but the set it on fire in the dumpster because they are a minority owned business and the city ordinance allows it.

It stinks like hell and probably infects neighborhood kids with cholera.

That is Jaquet. Dude should be working at McDonald's but he'd probably F that up too.

I can't really blame Michael Jacquet. He is an undrafted rookie in his second start trying to cover WRs that are clearly far more talented than he is. But I can't blame him. He never should have been put in that position. But our front office, in their infinite wisdom, saw fit to start a 5' 9" guy who has had injury issues as our CB2 coming into the season and never bothered to find any depth behind him.

Where we end up has too much weight on this discussion. (but no, trading up isnt an option)

If were sitting 3 and between 2 teams who want the kid from BYU, you damn right your trading back.

If your sitting 8 i dont see a reason to trade back and with what the scouts are saying, I may be inclined to take best available since theres a ton of holes.

Trading up is an option. People say this every year, and every year the pick we would've used to move up is used to take some bum.

If you can secure a blue chip player, you do it.

What?   When has leaping head first ever been taught to shed a block?

On the streets what Smith did to Mailata would be considered simple assault, it was a straight up head butt. Smith should have been ejected on the spot and fined for targeting

If Mailata was tom brady they would have suspended jaylon Smith for a year, but since Mailata is just a grunt OL and like 10 feet tall the league that claims to be all about player protection won't do jack.

Instead they'll turn a blind eye and continue to be all about investment(QB) protection ☹️

You get the picks right by taking can't miss players. Chase and Sewell are can't miss. I'd pay a premium every year to secure a player I thought was going to be a 10 year starter. Hell, not just in sports, but in life. I'd always pay a little extra to secure near certainty on anything in life. It's just a wise bet than a couple extra darts to throw at the wall. Especially with our track record.

If Chase and Sewell are as good as expected, not a single fan will regret the trade up.

Yeah depending on where we are and who is there, I might be willing to drop a few spots for the right compensation. If we have the 5th pick and can pick up a 2nd and drop back to #7 and we like 5 guys at the 5th. Sure.   However, if we have the 5th and we really only like one player in the next 10, you take that player. We nee, d impact players.

On a bright side: Mailata, looks like he is a keeper, If we could get either Lane or Brooks back and Kelce comes back next year, we only need one other Starter along the Oline.

That makes the WR's the next highest deficiency, then DB's, DL and LB's for 2021.

1 minute ago, Bacarty2 said:

nah

I cant think of one example that (outside of QB) that jumping 2 or 3 spots in the top 10 is worth it.

This isnt going from 80 to 65 where it cost you a 5th next year. Going form 8 to 5 will cost you the 8th this year, the 2nd this year, the 2nd next year and the 3rd from this year(similar to what buffalo did a couple years ago.

No player is worth that.

No it won't. The draft value chart has that as a 3rd and a 5th.

The Eagles moving from 5/6 to 3/4 this year would likely cost only a 3rd rounder. Maybe a 3rd and a future 3rd. A 2nd at most. If Chase is a stud WR for a decade it's absolutely worth it. Last season we didn't trade up for Lamb and it ended up being a major mistake. We didn't trade up for Cooks back in 2014 and it ended up being a major mistake. The Eagles have actually done quite well trading up. They got Graham, Cox, and Wentz just in recent memory. Shawn Andrews was one too and he was the best OG in football before he hurt his back.

The only thing trading back is really good for is trying to fill as many holes as quickly as possible. Which, IMO, should never be any team's goal. There should be no rush in building your roster. If it takes 3 years to fill all the holes, then so be it, if they're filled the right way. But giving up the opportunity to get stud players just to take some more blind swings at the pinata will never make sense to me. I want to build the team right.

More likes on day after gameday should be in the new US stimulus deal. This is brutal.

This is the only scenario where Duce can be the head coach.  The problem is identifying and poaching a really good OC, which they have shown they don't have the ability to do the last 3 years.  The Joe Bradys, Lincoln Rileys, and Brian Dabolls are not going anywhere unless it's for a head coaching job.

So you, a clear LSU fan is calling a guy who hasnt played in a year cant miss lol. Ok bud

And you want to keep throwing in a Oregon Left Tackle, which we already have one and Jordan Mailata. LOL

If* we settle around 10-12 after trading back and  Chase is there... I'll be ok with that pick. I've learned my lesson on Pac 12 Linemen.

I wouldnt trade up for either.

In fact with the eagles roster theres no one worth trading up for.

I'm a Chase fan, not an LSU fan. I said before on here I think he's the next Julio Jones. I think he's going to be a top 3 WR in the NFL for years. That's my opinion. Which is why I think getting him should be the goal for a team that sucks at getting WRs and who all of us are tired of seeing ourQBs throwing to crap every year. Chase would end that nightmare in one move. We wouldn't have to worry about that position anymore for a long time. That security to me is worth giving up an extra pick for. Of course every trade has a limit, and if the price gets crazy then you back off, but I don't think it will. It only does for QBs.

This is not a plan.

Any chance Howie is contemplating a move to acquire Lawrence?

The Jaguars aren't giving up the #1 overall. They desperately need a QB.

You can shove your draft chart Lol.

12 to 7 2- 2nds

6 to 3(you're exact scenario) cost 3 #2's

There is NO ONE and I mean NO ONE that the Eagles need in this draft worth 3 #2's.

6 to 3 in this draft isn't going to cost that many 2nd rounders, that's insanity. I think a 3rd rounder and change gets it done.
