BLG loves trashing opponents and getting it spit back in his face......exact thing happened last week after calling the washington football team "football team" for the last three months and laughing at his own lousy dry joke.

Yep, some people will make themselves look stupid time and time again by making every possible excuse for Wentz even when there aren't any to make, like today.

In case you wanted more reason to be depressed, here’s your 2021 depth chart with the sole exception of rookie draft picks:

QB: Wentz/Hurts

LT: Dillard LG: Pryor OC: Seumalo RG: Brooks RT Lane depth: Mailata/Herbig/Driscoll

RB: Sanders/Scott

WR: Reagor/JJAW/Ward/Hightower

TE: Goedert/Ertz

DE: Graham/Barnett/Sweat/Toohill

DT: Cox/Hargrave

LB: Gerry/Taylor/Edwards

CB: Slay/Maddox/???

S: McLeod, Mills

Guys & girls...that’s a really bad depth chart.  And that’s a depth chart that has them over the cap.  So you are going to have to have more noteworthy subtractions than additions to that list.  There is no using FA to swipe it under the rug this time around.

Rams Scoring Drives today: 41 yards, 75 yards, 80 yards, 68 yards, 75 yards, 64 yards.

Rushing Yards: 191

1st downs: 30

3rd down conversions: 7-12  (Eagles were also 7-12)

Total yards - 449.

Carson had 1 TO today - costly, but if the defense holds there rather than giving up 16 play drive and points, maybe shifting the field position and giving the offense a short field..

Eagles kick a FG to make it 24-19 and the D gives up 3 play, 75 yard TD drive.

Plenty of blame to go around today.

Of course. Plenty of blame, but the QB is #1.

Jared Goff is very good when he is in rhythm.  He's not very good when you knock him off his spot.  The Eagles got VERY little pressure today, and I don't recall them blitzing once.  Poor coaching

Yeah I’m becoming less of a BLG fan. Used to be one of my favorites, but he’s one of the most dramatic Eagle writers and that gets a little old.

Zach Berman on the other hand, probably my favorite Eagles writer

He's not wrong. Goff isn't good. WFT isn't good. The Eagles aren't either though, but that's irrespective to that truth that Goff and WFT suck.

Defense is the bigger problem.  I'm sure Wentz will improve; I have doubts the defense will.

With the picks and money invested in this line they should be getting pressure. You would think at at minimum the interior pressure would be there but it's virtually non-existent.

But I think the point was there are times when the D needs to pick up the O after a turnover and that didn’t happen on either TO when it mattered today.

I don't agree, even last season the offense was the bigger problem and we added a legitimate CB and another DT.

This offense has been bad since the SB.

I actually think the defense will be 10-13 range through most of the season they'll be ok, but this offense is dreadful.

Carson Wentz is going down the RGIII road.

Mahomes threw an interception into double coverage. Chiefs should tradez him and tank for da Laurens

Mahomes is a SB MVP. Wentz hasn't won a playoff game.

0/10

Eeh.  Goff isn’t bad.  He had a rough couple years and advanced himself beyond being a 2 read system qb.

Hes a slick, accurate pocket passer who maintains fluid mechanics on the move.  He’ll probably go down as the most prolific and successful passer from this Goff/Wentz/Dak class.

Still waiting for Wentz to follow his double coverage int with one of those.

So wait, Doug was a good coach with Foles but forgot how to coach when it came to Wentz. You are so full of crap and excuses for Wentz you can't help but keep doubling down. What about 2017 with Wentz. Wentz has regressed as a passer and decision maker for whatever reason. Blaming Doug for Wentz's inability to make simple decisions and throw with accuracy is laughable. It's like you either don't watch the games or have zero clue about football. Let me try this for the last time. No coaching or play calling in the world is going to make a QB become accurate or a good decision maker when they aren't either.

Yes!  I think Doug is not being adaptable.  Exactly!  He has an offense and by golly, who cares whether it fits the talents of the players, especially the QB, he's going with his offense.  In the previous 3 seasons, as a poster said earlier, Carson has thrown 81 TDs and 21 INTs so...he ain't chopped liver.  He has made many more good decisions than bad, has been much more accurate than inaccurate.

I think standing him in the pocket and making him be something he isn't is making him play worse.  And I think that is on the coach.  Can't be what you aren't.  He makes better decisions and is more accurate when the game plan is more like the one the Rams called today:  39 running plays, multiple roll outs and pocket movement to help get the mismatch they want.  What's the big deal?  Why can't Doug call that now?  He used to and the Eagles were great.  Now he calls the most predictable offense in the NFL.  We are easy to defend, easy to decipher, we don't do anything to truly challenge a defense.  Coaching.

Carson missed throws today, but Carson's history is that he makes those throws and has done so consistently and well.  One of the parts of his game that we have loved is that he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions - 16 games last season with Brooks, Johnson, and Peters all missing games, the WR's...and only 7 interceptions.  So I don't know where you get this idea that he makes bad decisions, and isn't accurate.  Is he Peyton accurate?  But dang, he has been a really good QB.  Really good.

McVay took Schwartz out to the woodshed today, just like Del Rio did to Pederson last week.

Yup. Exploited weaknesses in the Eagles D.  I want to watch the All-22 to really comment in greater detail.  I think I am going to see mediocrity from McLeod, Riley and Gerry getting owned and poor tackling by Gerry.   Mediocre DE play and poor gap play by our billion dollar DTs.

You'd have to be a moron to make this comparison.

yeah, the one at the end of the game.

I’m sure Wentz will improve from weeks 1-2.  I have doubts he’ll improve to 2017 levels.

Yep, and to add to this stupidity Mahomes just threw a dime 50 yards to Hill and completed a 2PC to tie the game.

It really sucks.  You forgot a few guys though.

Shawn Bradley at linebacker, Quez Watkins at WR, K'von Wallace at S

BLG has been one of the few calling out Howie. He and Kempski have been criticizing his moves going back to last year. Other than them it was Kapadia and Bo Wulf and that was about it. Everyone is still all over the Howie bandwagon, though I suspect that'll empty out by the week just like it did with Klentak and the Phillies.
