DE class is weak. Rousseau is the top guy but has character issue and is a bit of a project. He'll probably be the only DE to go in the 1st. Kid from Pitt might squeak in towards the bottom of the first. I wouldn't mind if they took Surtain. Question is will he be there. If Chase and Surtain are there I'm not sure which way I would lean

There's a DE from FSU that might be worth a look in the third. Kendoh, or something like that.

You would think an intelligent coaching staff might save the smoothie recipe after chip was fired and/or implement some of the sports science strategies chip used while he was in Philly. All 3 years we were top 3 in most healthy. As soon as he leaves were consistently top 3 most injured. Howie probably thought he was smarter than chip and the smoothies were useless and then here comes Doug feeding the guys ice cream instead

I thought they kept the sports science stuff Chip used even after they fired him?

Wonder how the Eagles injuries compare to other teams?

If they're paying analytics guys , they should definitely hire guys for sports science. Also , the same way we hired John Dorsey to help the Gm with the draft, we should hire an offensive mind to help Doug  (offensive coordination) to either restore Wentz or develop Hurts...or both.

I really hope Wentz works with a guy like Jordan Palmer in the offseason. Palmer worked with Josh Allen in the offseason and helped take him to another level this year. Palmer also worked with Joe Burrow as well.

I wasn’t joking about injuries. But, he’s hated by many here.
Best Special Teams we’ve ever had to.

Harbaugh's were better, I think.

I think Duce Staley would be the favorite for head coach. If he didn’t get it, he’d probably want to move on.

I want no parts of Duce as a head coach here.  He can be a HC somewhere else but I'm ready for an entire new outlook on this team.  New, fresh ideas from outside this current organization with zero influence from what we've had.

They already did that last offseason with Marty Moronwieg and Rich Scangrello.

Bills look good. Wouldn't mind seeing them hoist the Lombardi trophy at the end of the season. Definitely clicking on all cylinders.

So I've seen several posts in here about Devonta Smith and I don't understand them.

If Chase is off the board why exactly wouldn't you pick him?

Just because it would be in the top 10?

I'm confused.

Please enlighten me.

His lack of an adult body scares me

Wentz isn't getting traded. Also we'll get a 3rd for Ertz tops. I won't be surprised if they end up with a 4th

If someone offers you a 4th for Ertz I think you offer to drive him to the airport at this point.  Not having a 4th because of the Avery trade is just killer.  The guy has done nothing.  Another absolute trash move by Howie.

No way anyone gives us a first for Hurts. This place 🤣

IDK what games people are watching to suggest we would get anything better than a 4th.

I’d disagree. We actually scored when Chip was here, a lot. Quickly went to s___ afterwards. Harbaugh’s were solid though, no doubt.
Danny Smith and his 4 packs of gum pretty much sucked every year as well.

He MIGHT be 175 lbs.  He's rail thin.  His game totally reminds me of Steve Smith when he was at USC.  He was a bit heavier but still a skinny WR.  I don't think his game translates to the NFL at all.

Interesting.

Thanks.

I may not watched enough but he's been my favorite receiver for them the past 2 years. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Need some good vibes, have a 12 point lead in my fantasy bowl, gotta hold off Diggs.  Non PPR, and he is projected to score 12.  Difference between $ 300 and $ 600 dollars.

My condolences

I thought I saw him in there when they were reviewing that Hurts fumble that Gregory caused.  You know the one where his knee was down but they still gave it to Dallas.

But other than that I dont know if he was hurt or what?  Alot of people on these boards didnt want him to play anyway so they shouldn't be mad.

I don't remember who was around him. I just remember Hurts was screwed on that one because he was easily down by his right knee before the ball was even moving

There’s always the chance he is the next Marvin Harrison, but given our track record,  he will be slightly taller Freddie Mitchell

I posted a video a few pages back. You can’t see his right knee. It was a Cowboys right knee you saw. Hurts right knee probably landed on top of the Cowboy

Even Harrison had 10 pounds on him and was an inch shorter so he was a bit more compact.  I just want nothing to do with a guy that skinny given all the injury issues the Eagles have.  Just asking for him to get destroyed out there.

Anyone watching the game yesterday that doesn’t agree with me that CB is the greatest need for this team after watching Jacquett?  Yesterday we saw what happens when 3/5ths of your OL starters are out and you are down to third stringers at T.  Also half of the DL rotation out and half of the starters in the defensive backfield and really 3/5ths of the DBs. Ugh.  Now I am concerned that our draft choice defensive players are getting less playing time that a street free agent UDFA LB and a slow UDFA S.Schwartz is overrated as a DC and awful in his positions on defensive player evaluations.  Pryor isn’t any good.  Survived longer than a lot of sixth round picks. Doubt he makes the team next year.

This coming game needs to be treated like a fourth preseason game. Cox, DJax and Jeffery inactive. JJAW and Hightower active.  Starting WRs, Reagor at X, Fulgham at slot, Watkins at Z.  Sub Ir switch to Reagor at Z, Hightower in slot and JJAW at X.  Let Fulgham have some X routes and and Hightower some Z.  Let Greg get a breather.  I have no issue with playing this OL but if Wanogho is a go, give him some tackle reps.  When the sub Sudfeld in for Hurts, let Juriga get some reps at C.  Let Kelce get a breather.  IR Goedert and activate Butler.  Let Butler, JJAW and Wilson play TE.  Heck, if they could find a roster spot (IR DJax, for example), I would play Coombs at TE, too.  Frankly, any RB besides Boobie.  Let Clements have his swan song .

If Leblanc and James are healed, activate them. Williams and McGill starting at DT.  Avery in place of Graham, Ostman in place of Curry.   I don’t mind Singleton starting but with Bradley.  If Taylor is healthy, activate him.  IR Cox for a spot.  Make room where needed. Wallace needs to start.  Fine with Epps playing FS.  Don’t play, unless need necessitates, any players on expiring contracts like Mills and NRC. We want to see players that will be in camp next year.

Might it be a blood bath?  Yes, but if a player wants to show they should count against the cap, this is a prove it game. DJax got his record yesterday.  I would give Curry and Clements snaps this week.  Likely their last and both have been raised Eagles fans that got to reach their dream to play for their team.

Nope. You can't see his right knee.  His left knee is visible and the ball coming loose and the knee hitting the ground is pretty close to simultaneous.   That play wasn't egregious.  The one in 2019 (or was it 2018) on the opening kickoff was amazingly terrible.

Yup.

The knee people think was Hurts was actually that of the Cowboy tackling him.

Nope.  Still not the greatest need.  The greatest need remains getting a proper NFL offense around whomever the QB is going to be.  Doesn't matter to me anymore.  Just don't handicap the QB and make him look like he's never played football before.

CB is a need, no doubt.  But, the offense being a mess is destroying QBs.  We can't have that.

Yeah I've said before there are some loose, iffy calls down in Jerry world. Hmm, wonder why?
