This is a laughable take. The excuse of a diminished off season doesn't hold any water, as every single team had the exact same issue. If the Eagles were the only team to be hit by a virus and couldn't do their offseason program and the other 31 teams could, then maybe you could use that. But it's BS being spouted by Doug mostly.

And resiliency? How so? They've completely deflated in 2nd halves since Hurts was injected. If Brees had started for New Orleans, we're very likely looking at an 8 game losing streak. Resiliency, feh!

Not true, only the Eagles and all other failing teams had that hardship.  The winning teams somehow skirted around the rules and just did whatever.   They worked out together in South Dakota or Iowa or something, in the middle of a cornfield.  The ghost voice kept interrupting practice.  "If you build it... "   But they managed ok.

If we had a GM who could draft, I’d want to trade down and accumulate more picks.

With Howie, we should probably just stay put at 6 and draft the consensus best player available on espn insider.  Best chance for a good pick.

I just don’t like the value of a CB or Chase inside the top 10.

Lamar is a mvp

Except our young talent sucks.

Boston Scott has talent.  Where have you been?

The team has looked much better for 2 1/2 games since Hurts has been starting.  This blog is the only place on the planet that still seems to be in denial of that fact.

That said, I think the jury is still out on what will happen in the off season.

The team scored 17 points against a historically bad Dallas defense. They had 3 drives ended by turnovers in scoring position.   I'm not sure what you mean by better but 17 points and 3 turnovers against a bad team is bad.  This team has not looked much better unless you mean they might beat the Jaguars.  This team has looked like a terrible team all season long.  Hurts has shown some promise but he's done nothing to improve the team's play.  Arguably, his poor play was the reason the team lost as badly as they did.

There definitely are. It's harder to be a black HC than a white HC. Look at the college game. Look at the lack of head coaches at the NFL level. Just 3 years ago, we had people saying Lamar Jackson should be a WR instead of a QB.

Conversely, how many white CBs are there in the league? (I believe the answer is still zero). There are less than 5 white RBs. That's not a coincidence that athlete positions are heavily tilted.

People hire/recruit what they know/are used to.

People hire/recruit what they feel are the best players and coaches end of story. Nobody can convince me otherwise and that goes for all colors and positions. Owners, coaches, general managers are not going to lose good players/coaches because of their color. It's ridiculous to claim otherwise.

Therefore no special rules need to apply to get any color of anything better "opportunities".  WE HAVE GOT TO STOP LOOKING AT COLOR ALL THE WAY AROUND IN OUR SOCIETY IF IT IS EVER GOING TO TRULY BE RACISM FREE.

Lamar stinks lol.

At throwing the ball.

He's still pretty darn good at winning football games though.

KORs have been neutered into irrelevance by the nfl and he has turned it into an impact play.

Cant argue against that.

I just addressed this.and it backs up my point. for 3 months Minshew was shoved down our throat, he was playing on fire, and we havent heard **** about him since basically.

Cam hasnt done anything in 6 years and yet he's still shoved down our throats.

The reason is Cam is an easy sell for the networks. He's flashy, wears outrageous outfits that draws views/clicks, and his play style and grandstanding appeal to casual fans. I don't really think it has anything to do with the colour of his skin.

You may have discovered the next NFL wrinkle.

I cannot take credit. Someone posted this earlier than I did - I was catching up.

Lamar Blows. Rg3 2.0. Or Cam 2.0

Scheme and newer system catches the league my storm. LEague catches on and slows him down. League figures him out and he becomes just another guy

I just saw him come out the bathroom on a 4th and 2 and win a game with one play lmao

Lamar is a top 6 QB please stop

I mean if your quarterback has to run the ball a lot to win games he will eventually wear down (kinda like running backs). If you run like Wilson (only when you have to,  and avoid hits) it's sustainable

I need some clarification on this...

When I think of players that are shoved in our faces I think of Mahomes, Lamar, Mayfield... where exactly are you seeing all the Cam commentary? Because I see more people talking about Carson Wentz on NFL shows/pods/radio than I do Cam Newton.

The dude can barely throw for 3,000 yards.  He’s going to get benched Wentz style within 3 years when his legs slow down.

Speaking of Cam, when you suck stop doing the superman thing

I enjoy seeing the Patriots and their fans saddled with that qb.  He can keep doing that pose all he wants; it’s hilarious.

Branding. It's smart business.

If you take out delusional Wentz homers and do a national poll 99.999% of the National football fans would take Lamar over Wentz all day everyday

They go into Cam's life, his work outs,  how belichek was the smartest man alive for signing up. How Cam was going to make the entire league regret not signing up. Etc etc.

I need to know from what sources you are ingesting your daily football intake because I swear I literally see/hear none of this.

Guessing you didnt watch the game last night. or the pre show game or the espn sportscenter leading up to the pre show game

I watched the game, but was also playing PS5 at the same time on another screen, I didn't really notice the Cam talk. And I don't think I've watched the pre game shows in over 10 years, there's no point to them.

OMG they talked about the N.E. Quarterback during the pre-game of a N.E. game wow that's crazzzzzyyyyyyyy.

So they they talked about a player before a game in which they played in? Really? They do that in every pre-game broadcast. I'm sure they talked about Josh Allen too.

I think you need to come clean that this is a personal thing with you and you're triggered AF over Cam right now.

He never could. He will go down as one of the worst/overrated QB's in history. He literally had one year... thats it.

Where trickery and a scheme got guys WIDE open and that was it for him(Rg3 basically had a year like that but not as strong of a defense)

The problem is... and It's not to be racist, but the networks pander to the african american qb's(some deserve it) and they shove Cam down our throats. I mean from when he signed until week 4ish all we heard was how the league messed up by not signing him. how Belichek is a genuis. MVP. gonna lead the patriots to the playoffs and HE BLOWS!!

When Riverboat TRADED for Kyle Allen instead of signing Cam to the league minn should of been an eye opener for the majority of the league/media/etc

Your missing what I’m saying - he’s literally struggling to throw the ball 30 yards. Something is wrong with his arm. You can say he wasn’t a good passer before but he could throw it a half mile. Watching their games this year his throws have nothing on it.

I don’t care about that other nonsense you are talking about.

I believe in a 100% meritocracy.   Anything short of that is missing the mark.
