Yep, and to add to this stupidity Mahomes just threw a dime 50 yards to Hill and completed a 2PC to tie the game.

You'd have to be a delusional homer to mention Wentz in the same breath with Mahomes at this point.  Apparently we've got plenty of them on this board.

Yeah, Carson's never done that.  Has never thrown two fifty yard dimes for TDs to Jackson in the same game, one while under heavy pressure.   Carson never converted an important 2PC during a game.  He sucks.

He absolutely sucks right now.  He's been atrocious for the last two games.  And homers like you refuse to admit it.

I didn't even realize because I turned football off of the TV and actually fell asleep to Castaway.....the f'ing Cowboys came back and won?  What a really crappy football day...

One guy is a SB MVP. The other guy hasn't won a single playoff game.

You lose.

Mahomes threw an interception into double coverage. Chiefs should tradez him and tank for da Laurens

Swing and a big miss. Don’t compare Mahommes to Wentz. You will look stupid at the end.

He's just embarrassing himself at this point.

That's incorrect.  I'm saying he's playing bad because his coach isn't helping him.  Very different concept.

Yup. Dallas needed an onsides kick, and Atlanta players literally stood there and watched it roll free and let Dallas recover.

Mahomes is great.  Carson isn't terrible.  Why do you want to hate your QB who has played really well for your team, has given it his all.  I don't get it.

Like I said.

Homer.

Doug may not be great, but Doug isn't throwing too high, too low, missing open guys for big gains or TDs, throwing to receivers well covered, or turning the ball over 5 times in 2 games. Wentz is a huge part of this, and there is no way around that.

You'd have to be a moron to make this comparison.

It’s almost like it was a parody comment

No!  No criticism for little Carson otherwise his feelings will get hurt!!!

I'm not sure if Carson Wentz has been coddled more by the fans, or by the organization.

The fact you think that was defending Wentz is hilarious

Call me crazy, but the game plan needed more Hightower today.

They put Ramsey on either Desean or Reagor.  They then rolled safety help to the other guy.  Wentz was sufficiently erratic underneath that Goedert/Ertz couldn’t cause any fits. JJAW is useless.

There may have been a good opportunity to push the ball downfield with Hightower against pretty scant coverage.

Offense thoughts.

The OL looked a lot better this week.  Progress.  I also think the Sanders threat helps them.  Need some second level play by the Gs.  More play, more cohesion.  Really hope the Seumalo has nothing major with his knee

Sander looked good running.  The passes showed that he and Wentz are rusty. A couple key plays by Scott.

Eagles made some key mistakes with the shortened TC and no OTAs.  They thought the existing offense would be a benefit instead of being studied.  They interviewed Harrell, brought in Scangarello and Breiner, consult with Marty and elevate Press’ role and they look the same.  Yes Goedert is good so we want him on the field and Ertz is Carson’s security blanket but over emphasis on the 12 isn’t working and didn’t work last year.  They also rested Carson the last week of camp.  He isn’t in rhythm.  I commented last year about his slow starting.  Once he hits his rhythm he is unstoppable.  So they need to cure that. Maybe Saturday practice?   If they are practicing Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and walk through on Friday, maybe that is impacting it.   Mix it up.   Looks like someone took my stopwatch practice and worked with Carson on it.  Next has to be target practice. They need to get him to midseason rhythm quicker.  Quick read and throw to where the receiver will be.  And for the sake of us all, get the receivers involved.  Sweeps.   Pocket the screens for now.  Those long screens to the isolated WR don’t work.  Short screens to the backs maybe. Motion.   The current presnap motion is so basic, a high school defense can read it and disguise. More thoughts after the All 22

I'll take it.  Better that than someone like you who turns so fast on the person they were jumping off the couch for at the end of last season.  Bet you watched that throw to Sanders in the corner of the endzone over and over like all of us did.

BLG has been one of the few calling out Howie. He and Kempski have been criticizing his moves going back to last year. Other than them it was Kapadia and Bo Wulf and that was about it. Everyone is still all over the Howie bandwagon, though I suspect that'll empty out by the week just like it did with Klentak and the Phillies.

That’s one thing I do appreciate about BLG, and Kempski as well, they are brutally honest when critiquing the Eagles.

Another positive from this game is Aaron Donald wasn’t impactful on the stat sheet for this game. Good job by OL after last weeks disaster

Well, I'd like to see how Carson plays if the game is called more to his abilities.  If he still s...s the bed, then I'll back off.  But he wasn't drafted to be a pocket passer.  Looks like Doug wants him to be another Doug Pederson.

He is playing poorly right now. This is true.

The rest of his career he's been (albeit banged up) a pretty good QB (albeit inconsistent).

So a 4 year sample size compared to 2 games.

Now this could be the beginning of the end for Wentz or it could be a really bad stretch and he'll adjust towards the norm.

Him being a mostly good QB throughout his career and him playing poorly at the moment can both be true, but people seem unable to grasp this.

"EAT THE MONEY AND TRADE HIM!"

"TANK FOR LAWRENCE!"

"HE'S THE WORST QB IN THE LEAGUE!"

Please.

Now maybe Wentz never comes back to norm or maybe he turns it on and is the inconsistent, yet good QB we have all seen and we go on a run.

It's far too early in the season to start talking about tanking for Lawrence (which is a mistake in itself) and completely gutting the team. I'm not pointing a finger at you, I'm talking in general terms.

I want to believe in Carson.  But after all this time, he is what he is.

I've defended him for five seasons, but I just can't do it anymore.

When Watkins is eligible to come off IR, he should switch places with JJAW.  Either they can give him a fake injury and bring him back to camp next year or just cut him now.  Doesn’t really matter which.

Once Alshon comes back, JJAW won’t even be dressing anyway.

The sad thing about today is the Rams gave the NFL tape on how to pick on Nate Gerry, and the Eagles will keep putting him out there because of his intangibles and ignore his tackling and the biting on misdirection.  He should be a ST captain and sub-package LB, and nothing more.

I don’t think you need tape to pick on Gerry. He’s that bad. But I blame Howie the most and Schwartz
