Frank Gore is done for the season with a lung injury.  If he decides to retire, first ballot Hall-of-Famer?

No way. He doesn't have a single first team all pro. His only achievement is longevity and 5 pro-bowls.

Not exactly. He count's as 12.3 against the cap in 2022 but then nothing. I don't know why they show the other numbers as they are all voiding but it's saying if he were to be cut in 2023 he'd be 7.3 in dead money, and if he were to be cut in 2024 its 2.4m in dead money.

Thats dead cap total at 12.3 if they want to take it all in one year.

If they choose to keep it drawn out His cap hit for the year is a hair over 4.9 for 2022 and 2023 with a 2.4 on 2024

Racist.

I kid, I kid.

I think he gets in, but can see the argument for why he wouldn't.

I have never read anything I would make me think he is racist.  Don’t remember your handle from the old board, what was your previous handle ??

Reminder- we have "The ignore button".

To me, he’s Mike Mussina. A stat compiler and very good player. But it’s not the hall of very good. He was never the best back in any single season of his career nor a generational talent. Pass.

That's unrealistic.  How many NFL DE's make between $2-$4 million per year, a year after making the Pro-Bowl?

Well, if Howie is not an idiot, he'll let Graham play out the last year of his contract.  If Graham makes another pro-bowl after 2021, he'll be expensive, but no more expensive than an extension would be right now.  If he misses 8 games due to injury or finally shows his age, then he'll be very cheap.

They have to take it all in one year.

  • 2022-2023 years automatically void

That clause makes any money accelerate into 2022.

Speaking of DE.  What sort of contract are we looking at to keep Josh Sweat an Eagle for the next 5 years or so.

Question for the blog. Was Doug the OC with the Chiefs when they had 0 receivers with touchdowns? Remember that being a huge thing when he got hired. That the offense is stagnant.

Fast forward years later. All our receivers suck and have zero production. lol Pretty Wild

Doug was a coffee boy for AR with the title of OC.

I'm ready for Fipp to be gone too.  I really wish the NFL would look at how the XFL handled kickoffs.  It's a shame what's become of one of the most exciting plays the NFL had.  They can recapture that if they had the creative minds to do so but instead they do what they can to make it have as little impact as possible.  Sad.

Boston Scott, Corey Clement, and Greg Ward are reminders that the Eagles don't have any depth on the roster.

Agreed but then you have Reagor, who was an elite PR in college and Huntley who was explosive as a KR in college on the team and Fipp can't find a way to get them on the field?

Hightower is also ideally suited to be a KR, but I suspect Doug is deciding who Fipp can use there.  Don't get me wrong, I believe it is imperative for the entire coaching staff to be given their walking papers after the season.

Do we really see Lurie making a coaching and GM change?

He never said Carson Wentz is getting all the media attention because he's white.  So the answer to your question is no.

Not sure your point, and I reviewed all of Bacarty's posts after Arsenal's comment.  Bacarty is 100% correct.  I had an interest in the game due to fantasy football, and they could not shut up about Cam Newton.

This is a laughable take. The excuse of a diminished off season doesn't hold any water, as every single team had the exact same issue. If the Eagles were the only team to be hit by a virus and couldn't do their offseason program and the other 31 teams could, then maybe you could use that. But it's BS being spouted by Doug mostly.

And resiliency? How so? They've completely deflated in 2nd halves since Hurts was injected. If Brees had started for New Orleans, we're very likely looking at an 8 game losing streak. Resiliency, feh!

Brees didn’t even need to play to almost lose that game. If the Saints defender doesn’t drop a pick six that hits him right in the hands the Eagles likely lose that game. They were literally an awful drop by the Saints DB from being on an 8 game losing streak.

the fact we are averaging 4.3 points in the second half of the last three games clearly shows resiliency and is a byproduct of the no offseason activities lol

Huntley got caught in the numbers game. With all the injuries it's hard to justify a spot to a guy whose only going to do KR's.

Yeah that was in 2014 were there wide receivers had zero touchdowns all year. I think Dwayne bowe was on that team. Alex smith was the QB. To the chiefs credit i believe they got to 9-7. Jamaal Charles was amazing for them.

Doesnt hurt to have two very good WRs in Diggs and Beasley as well.

Don’t forget they also have John brown. He missed 3 weeks

Take away 3... Dallas' D is bottom 5 in the NFL.

So? Would you prefer we didn’t have open receivers? This place is ridiculous sometimes.

I watch the Bills quite a bit, Josh Allen is legit.

I think the point is more they helped by putting good talent around him. His jump from 2019 to 2020 in terms of accuracy can be attributed to getting diggs, coaching and the group around him. Diggs has been a god send to him and that team. He’s leading the league in receiving (yards and catches). The fact they have diggs, Beasley and brown and also done a pretty good job in the development of Gabriel davis allows for Allen to see the growth he has.

just saying to go from 58% to 69.1% in a season is a historic type of jump. I was a big Josh Allen fan when he came out. I know a lot of people on the board were not impressed with the fact that every time they played a good team they would get killed. But I said I would’ve taken him over baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen. I thought Baker Mayfield was an immature **** and the Arizona coaches i talked too all said Rosen was overrated and a pain in the ass to deal with. I also liked darnold a lot but frankly i think the Jets completely ruined him.
