The all 22 showed Doug called a great game?  I bet 75% of that was Dallas having a horrendous defense.

This. It is laughable that Doug gets a pass for calling a few good plays. He looked lost in the 2nd half again.

Dallas has one of the worst defenses in franchise history. They literally have stats on it during the game to prove it. Lol

The bar is so low here.

Bad play calling and bad QB play led to zero points on 7 possessions in the second half against a historically bad defense.

Knowing what we do about how bad the coaching is, how they do nothing to utilize the players they have I think it's absolutely foolish to get rid of Wentz without getting a new staff in here to see what he can do under different coaching.  The talent is there.  The mechanics and mental is not.  Those are fixable things.  Something weird happened between Wentz and the staff here and I don't think it's a Carson issue.  Can he be fixed?  That's the big what if, the question that needs to be answered and won't be until training camp.

I'm also not sold on Hurts.  I don't know what he can be.  We know he's a born leader and an ultimate competitor.  People are drawn to him and that's what you want when you have 10 other grown men being led on the field.  He's got a tough mental makeup as well.  He went through ups and downs at Bama, was benched for Tua yet came in and did his job when he went down.  Went to OU and took over that team and was a flat out stud.  Does he have what it takes to be a top level QB in the NFL or is he just a marginal starter?

I think despite being older, Carson still offers more upside.  If we are on the hook for that salary I want him in Eagles green.  Not unloaded at a discount while some other team fixes him.

if anybody gives an F, Hakeem Butler likely will be here next year now.

Hopefully we can make him a hybrid TE / possession WR.

Love Brandon. I wish he and kelce didn’t have to see their last few good years go towards a rebuild

He likes seeing those nice numbers appear on his bank statement. Unlike some he earns it and doesn't take it for granted.

I think his role is to stand cluelessly in the end zone.

I'm OK with that.  He's a huge WR/Hybrid TE.  So much depends on what staff is here.  He has a skillset you can take advantage of if you know how to coach to your players best traits.

I actually like Bulter. Id like to see him with us with a new coaching staff. Crossing my fingers on both.

Yeah who else are we going to run a fade route or jump ball to in the end zone in a critical point in the game

There were a lot of dumb plays this year, but that may go down as the dumbest.

My personal favorite was when reagor and i think sanders ran into each other.

Stafford to the colts also makes a ton of sense. But from the article.

"Maybe [Wentz] would rework his deal in order to facilitate a deal," an NFC exec said. "At this point, he might simply want out."

Another AFC exec believes the Eagles would be making a mistake not trying to convince Wentz they can salvage the relationship.

"I'm not convinced of the [Hurts] situation just yet," the AFC exec said. "Bailing on a franchise quarterback after one bad year is a bad look. Even really good quarterbacks have down times."

We don't know how Wentz feels about all this. We also don't know how much if any interest there is in a team(s) trading for him.

If there's a decent offer on the table and Howie's still around and being Howie I wouldn't be surprised to see Wentz being pretty flexible about redoing his contract.

Doug always trying to be the smartest guy in the room instead of doing what works.

Carson redoing his contract only impacts the team trading for him.  There is nothing the Eagles can do to get out of the 34.8 million cap hit.  We are on the hook for that whether or not he is on the team.

Evidently that AFC exec doesn't realize like the experts in here that Wentz has only ever been good for one year.

Only great for one year.  Just like Nick Foles.  Just like Case Keenum.  I don't see people calling them a "franchise QB".

We'll turn him into Fade God

I still dont see Lurie/Howie moving on from Wentz next season unless its at the trade deadline and Hurts clearly has proven himself and Wentz is proven that this year was not a one time down fall year and keeps falling.

We're "on the hook" for tens of millions more for Carson in 2021, 2022, and 2023 if we keep him in 2021.  What we've already paid him is a sunk cost and not relevant in the decision.

Nor is Hurts relevant in the decision.  Whether he ends up being the guy or not, is not a reason to bring Carson back.

More importantly, snowflakes get triggered if you criticize a player they have an irrational infatuation with. 😂

That ones good, but my top 3 might just be Jamon Brown alone. His sack on Carson Wentz, fixing the swag gloves mid play and Cambell tossing him 15 yards are my favorite.

Butler: Goedert left the Dallas game with a calf injury.
DE: Barnett is still hurt.
LB: Riley is still hurt.
T: Mailata left with a concussion.

No Goedert/Mailata would be crushing to the offense. Ertz is worse than Goedert and Toth <<< Mailata.

We need to ask roob to do his top ten boneheaded eagles plays of the year.

He lasted 2 seasons in Denver IIRC.  He's been with the Pats for 17 total seasons.
