Butler: Goedert left the Dallas game with a calf injury.
DE: Barnett is still hurt.
LB: Riley is still hurt.
T: Mailata left with a concussion.

No Goedert/Mailata would be crushing to the offense. Ertz is worse than Goedert and Toth <<< Mailata.

Honestly i ponder whether to put wentz or hurts out there if you have pryor and Toth starting as your tackles. Like Toth’s upside and as a project but you are going to get your QBs obliterated with that front four Washington has with those book end tackles. I get hurts can run but he’s still going to get beaten with those two out there. I don’t need either getting a major injury against that Washington front going into 2021 in a meaningless game.

Carson redoing his contract only impacts the team trading for him.  There is nothing the Eagles can do to get out of the 34.8 million cap hit.  We are on the hook for that whether or not he is on the team.

Understood but Jeffrey would get to keep the actual Benjamins in his pocket if Wentz is traded. The Eagles are going to have to weigh the odds of needing Wentz at some point next year vs. the distraction and having to pay actual $$$$ for him to sit on the bench. I'm certain Howie with his demonstrated wisdom and judgment will make the right choice.

Sudfeld. 100% Sudfeld.

They will probably go Hurts though and give him a trial by fire.

I actually like Bulter. Id like to see him with us with a new coaching staff. Crossing my fingers on both.

I'd like to see most of our players with a new coaching staff

What distraction?

Butler was a disaster for Arizona.

Hopefully he can become that guy we all saw in college when he was a board favorite going into the draft.  I think besides Metcalf he was the most talked about WR in the blog.  If he can become productive, maybe @Don Corleone will come back.

Fair enough

The QB controversy is because the starter couldn't do his job properly.  If he did, there would be no controversy.

I don't expect anything from Wentz or Hurts, they both seem like adults. The media on the other hand I expect to try to fabricate something.

As will the fans as evidenced by some posters on this board.

In fairness to butler i believe he broke his hand his rookie year and then they continued to keep drafting WRs and added Hopkins so he really had no chance to make that team.

Missed his rookie season with a broken hand.

That’s what it was. I knew it was something.

I wasn't referring to his kickoff duties, where he's actually found a way to be a detriment to the team, while the position has essentially been removed from the game.

But, his impact in the games as a RB are extremely limited.  There's no way he should be the #2 RB.  But, he shows up against the Giants.  So, people get enthralled.

I like him as a third back in a three back rotation.  The Eagles are best when playing RBBC.  They need a power back.   A Duce.  I thought Warren might offer that but they gave up on him pretty quickly.

He did his job on 2017 and there was controversy heading into 2018.  There was controversy in New England when Jimmie G was there.  I could go on but you get the point.

When the back up QB wins the super bowl there will be controversy. And you can’t really compare an aging QB to this situation.

We don't know how Wentz feels about all this. We also don't know how much if any interest there is in a team(s) trading for him.

"Maybe [Wentz] would rework his deal in order to facilitate a deal," an NFC exec said. "At this point, he might simply want out."

If there's a decent offer on the table and Howie's still around and being Howie I wouldn't be surprised to see Wentz being pretty flexible about redoing his contract.

To me, there's no question that Wentz will have a preference to be traded and I think will believe he can earn the remainder of his guaranteed money over the next several seasons.  The only way that's not his preference is if a new coach/GM comes in and says he's the starter.  I don't see that happening.

Love Brandon. I wish he and kelce didn’t have to see their last few good years go towards a rebuild

Don't want him back unless it's cheap

His contract is what it is next year, and there is dead years after that already.  Not a lot we can do with his deal without creating additional dead cap down the road.

I’m with Jonny ..... and going into next season as the starter for whichever team the Eagles trade him to, confidence will be important there, too.     😂

I miss LeGarrette Blount. He was absolutely terrific for us. Then we went full finesse.

I think everyone should expect a rough game. Skins Dline is good and they'll be playing for a playoff spot. Hurts is going to get hit a lot. Hopefully Doug helps this QB out

That sucks. Thanks Howie
